Cupcake craft challenge #168–DT card

Hello again dear friends, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Delphine has set the theme and she has chosen “two’s company” so we want to see images of two boys, two girls or one of each on your projects. The idea is to have two or more characters on your work (coming from the same stamp or different stamps). Animals don't count, but fairies and angels are ok.  Here is my card:

I have used two images from sassy studio designs - the image on the left is called ‘prom cameo’ and the one on the right is called ‘circle cameo 4’ and they are coloured with promarkers and flex markers.  I made this card for my niece who is 18 at the end of the month.  I’ve used the magnolia flourish die again and the finished card is A5 in size.

Passion for Promarkers #36 – DT card

This week over at Passion for Promarkers we have a colour combo for you to use as chosen by our GDT Anjie.  She would like to see your projects using ‘pastel green and blossom’ as the predominant colours on your image.  For my card I used a new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Valentine Felicity’ (which is part of the offer of the month at DSB at the moment) and I coloured her with the following promarkers:

Coat – blossom

Hat – blossom and pastel green

Boots and scarf – pastel green

Flowers and heart – magenta, carmine and pastel green

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Hair – tan and caramel

Shading – ice grey 1

The pretty paper is K&Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  For the light green panel I used my paisley embossing folder in the CB and highlighted some of the pattern with a white gel pen.  I used my MS valentine lace border punch to create the decorative edge and my circle nesties to cut out the image.  The butterflies were a gift from Tracy at Dies to Die For (she is always so generous when she sends orders out and adds lots of little die-cuts).  The flowers were from tabby crafts and I coloured them with my pastel green promarker to match my image.  The leaves were cut with my MS frond punch and the sentiment was stamped with my elzybells ‘everyday greetings’ stamp set (I’ll probably go through a phase of using this for a while now lol!).   The pretty picot edge ribbon is from fantastic ribbons and the adhesive stones are PM.

Passion for Promarkers #35 – DT card

This week over at Passion for Promarkers our challenge is ‘girls, girls', girls’, in other words we want to see your girlie images this week.  Also you are free to use any colour promarkers you like *yay*. 

For my calendar/card I used a TGF image from the ‘me time anya’ stamp set (which was  RAK from Tracy at Dies to Die For - thanks Tracy) and coloured it with the following promarkers:

Hair – tan and caramel

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Bath hat – meadow green, apple and rose pink

Bubbles – cool aqua

Bath legs – rose pink

Shading on bath and around image – ice grey 1

The gorgeous papers are K&Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon, flowers and brads are from my stash and the calendar pad is by Anita’s.  The adhesive gems were part of candy I won recently from Clare (thanks hun).

Cupcake craft challenge #70 – DT card

Hello and welcome to a brand new week – not long now until the ‘big’ day – hope you’re all organised (not like me).  It’s time for a brand new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge and this week super talented Tammy has chosen the theme of ‘a 5x5 birthday card’ – how simple is that, and a nice break from making those last minute Christmas cards.  For my card I used my new image from TGF called ‘sassy suzi’ (from dies for die for) and coloured her with my promarkers.  The gorgeous paper is K&Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad (again sorry) and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  I ran the centre panel through the cuttlebug with the perfectly paisley embossing folder.  I cut out the image with my nesties (labels 3) and I used my MS doily lace punch for the decorative edge.  The sentiment is SU from the ‘wow flowers’ stamp set and the adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  The gorgeous flowers are from tabby crafts.

Mojo Monday sketch challenge #116

Hello and happy Sunday to you all.  Sorry I haven’t been around very much this week but I’m still having computer problems grrrr!  It will probably have to go back to the repair shop this week so there may be sporadic posting again this week!!  Onto to my card which is for the mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I used a gorgeous new image from DigiStamp Boutique called 'coco and flowers’ and coloured it with my promarkers and I also used a sakura gelly roll pen in the centres of the flowers.  The papers are K&Co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and I cut the circles with my circle nesties.  I ran two of the circles through the cuttlebug using my swiss dots embossing folder.  The stunning ribbon is new and is from fantastic ribbons and its very sparkly IRL and the sentiment was created on the pc.

Passion for promarkers mega christmas challenge – DT project

** Sorry it’s a bit of a long post today – but it’s worth reading **

Well have we got a challenge for you at passion for promarkers starting today! It’s not just any old challenge - this challenge will last until 5th January 2010. We don’t mind what colour promarkers you use but we want to see “anything but a card - with a Christmas theme”. As this is such a special challenge our sponsors have come up trumps and we have some extra special prizes up for grabs.

Firstly our grand prize has been generously donated by Letraset – they have given us a whole set of promarkers, which includes the old and new colours – that’s 148 pens!! Plus they have also given us 2 x 5 promarker theme packs.

For my project I used a basic bingo board and made it into a to-do notice board. I used a gorgeous stamp by PB called ‘xmas kiss’ and coloured it with the following promarkers:

Hedgie – ice grey 3 & 5, ivory, blush and pastel pink

Holly & mistletoe – meadow green, apple green and red

Birdie – tan, caramel, and red

The gingham paper is from my stash (but sadly has no name on it) and the gorgeous patterned paper is daisy bucket called wrapped wishes – snowflake waltz (this is double sided 12x12 paper and I used the distressed design on the reverse). The small snowflakes were cut with my dovecraft punch and the large snowflakes have been cut with my MS arctic punch. The adhesive stones are PM and the beautiful ribbon is dovecraft from the 99p range! The ‘to-do’ stickers are K&Co and are really glittery IRL. I used my circle nesties to cut out my image and my MS doily lace punch for the paper covering the notepad (I didn’t have a lined notepad to hand so had to use this cash-book type book as it was all I could find at short notice!) I inked the edge of the paper with a colorbox cats eye chalk ink pad in rouge. You must check out the rest of the DT projects as they are all stunning! Stamp with Fun #33 – DT card

Hello and welcome to a brand new week.  Before I go into the new challenge for stamp with fun I want to say I’m sorry for being MIA for most of last week.  I had a hectic week and to top it off I didn’t feel too good either, but I’m on the mend now so hopefully normal service will be resumed :) 

For the stamp with fun challenge this week the DT were asked to make an x-mas calendar or decoration.  Now as I was a little short on time I decided to make a x-mas themed door hanger.  I used my new gorgeous the greeting farm image called ‘Madelynn’ (from dies to die for)  and coloured her with my promarkers.  I also added stickles to her buttons and heart on her jacket.  The lovely papers are K & Co and I used my new MS drippy goo paper punch (also available at dies to die for) to resemble icicles and my MS arctic snowflake punch.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my circle nesties.  The tulle ribbon is from tabby crafts and I used my crop-a-dile to make the holes for the snowflake eyelets (from the crop-a-dile kit).  I used a white gel pen to draw some faux stitches around the edge of the hanger.  The green ribbon is from my stash.

Cupcake craft challenge #65 – DT card

It’s Monday so that means a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge.  This week Donna has given us the theme of ‘snow much fun’ and for my card I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Becky at Christmas’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added flower soft in polar white to resemble the snow.  Now I know Becky wouldn’t really be standing in the snow with her socks on but for the sake of my card she’s a rebel!!  The gorgeous paper is K & Co (not sure of the name) and the shimmery card is bazzill bling.  I used my MS doily lace punch for the decorative edge and my MS arctic snowflake punch.  The ‘JOY’ letters are by Amanda Blu and I got them from QVC- aren’t they lush?  A very girly card but I love it :)

Cupcake craft challenge #64 – DT card

Over at cupcake craft challenge this week our new challenge is a wonderful sketch designed by Caryn (although I did turn it on its side). I love the clean and simple style to it and for my card I used a digi image by sassy studio design called ‘sweet as cherry pie Cheryl’ and it was coloured with promarkers. The gorgeous paper is k & co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop. The flowers were cut with my ek success punches (large & medium) and the brad is from my stash. The adhesive pearls are kanban.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #38

The CCC this week was set by Claire and she choose "numbers". Now I have to apologise as I intended my card having a chipboard number but due to a hectic week and leaving my card til the very last minute I couldn't find the flipping things so had to use a computer generated sentiment that included a number (very poor offering I know but I will try harder next week lol). Anyway onto the card....... I stamped the greeting farm image "fairy chloe" (from dies to die for) and coloured her with pro-markers adding stickles to her wings and highlights with a white gel pen. The lush dp is k & co from the sparkly sweet paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. As I mentioned the sentiment is computer generated and the adhesive stones are PM. The cotton thread was bought in Woolworths a long time ago (I still miss it!!). I'm sorry the picture is a little dark but I had terrible trouble trying to get a good one. Papertake challenge - dawny's sketch #9/Colour create #5

This is my card for the papertake challenge, which is a lovely sketch by dawny and the latest colour create challenge which is 'blue and brown (with an optional extra of pearls and lace)'. I stamped the leanne ellis sugar nellie image and coloured her with my pro-markers adding highlights with a white gel pen. The dp is all from the luxury stack by dcwv and the adhesive pearls are kanban. The brown lace was originally white (K and Co) but I coloured it with my cinnamon pro-marker. The sentiment was created on the pc. I cut the deckle edge with a pair of fiskars scissors. I'm way behind with the challenges this week, so I'm playing catch up as usual, but I'll keep trying haha! Cupcake Craft challenge #21

The cupcake craft challenge this week is to use glitter on your cards. Well these gorgeous K & Co grand adhesions were the main inspiration for this card as I loved the colour and especially the glitteryness (if that's a word) of them. My mother wanted a card for her best friend's birthday and I remembered I had a booklet of vellum sentiments by K & Co and this sentiment jumped out at me. I added white cs to the back of the clear sentiment and attached it with gemstone brads by PM. The sentiments were done on the pc. The gorgeous dp is by PM as well and the yellow cs is bazzill. I thinks it's a bright and cheery birthday card. Thanks for looking.
