Charisma cardz #6–DT card

Good morning friends, I forgot to schedule my post last night so I’m hastily typing it before I go to work (never a good idea lol).  It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and this week the lovely Carol has chosen the theme “mythical/fantasy”.  I decided to use a CC designs mermaid digi image as they are both mythical and fantasy I think.  I have gone “clean and simple” on my card but I’m not sure if I like it – some crafters make this style of card look so stylish and elegant but I can’t seem to get to grips with it.  Here is my card (let me know what you think about my attempt at CAS):

charisma cardz #6 - magical & fantasy

I have used another scalloped card (that was found under my desk!) and the image is called ‘mermaid Emma’.  I coloured her with my promarkers of course and added stickles to her waist and hairband.  There is an awful lot of white on my card…..mmm I’m not sure!!

We have two sponsors this week – firstly we have All That Scraps and they are offering the lucky winner either 1 stamp set or 4 single stamps.

All that scraps

Our second sponsor is Pink Cat Studio and they are offering the lucky winner 5 digi images of their choice.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples for your inspiration once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.  I apologise as I don’t think I managed to get around to commenting on my allocated entries last week but I’ll make sure I’m more organised this week!

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Clean and simple challenge – sketch (I hope it’s ok I put the sentiment in a different place)

Pear tree designs challenge – free for all

Karber challenge – movie theme (I’ve gone with the little mermaid)

Aly’s Sunday challenge – bling bling

Little Claire’s challenge – anything goes (second entry)

Kaboodle challenge – break out that ribbon stash

City crafter challenge – all that glitters

Craft your passion challenge – anything goes

I love promarkers challenge – birthday theme and blog hop

Delightful challenges – get punchy

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – tempting texture

The pixie cottage challenge – sketch and/or ribbon

So that’s it from me today. I am rushing to get to work now so I’ll add my ingredient list later.  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Susie’s sassy challenge #5 – DT card

SSC #5 - friends

SSC #5 - friends (close up 1)

Hello everyone and welcome to the new challenge over at Susie’s sassy challenge.  I can’t believe we’re already on challenge number 5!  Our challenge this week is ‘friends – old and new’ and for my card I used a new but never used stamp by stamping bella called ‘bbf-abugs’.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added a glittery effect to their wings with a sakura stardust pen.  The papers are all daisy bucket and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM.  The swirls were cut with my ek success punch and the sentiment is SU from the pocket silhouettes stamp set.

The prize for this challenge is a Guest Design Team spot for challenge #7 that starts on the 28th of January.  If you are picked as the winner you will be asked to make a GDT project/card for the challenge after next.  Wow what an amazing prize I’m sure you’ll agree :)  Check out the blog for more details.

Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all stunning.  I can’t wait to see what you create this time and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Woohoo I’m back!!

Well after almost a week without a computer I’m so glad to be back.  I never thought it would take this long to get it back from the repair shop and it couldn’t have happened at a worst time but hey I’m finally back online :)  I hope you missed me ‘cos I certainly missed you!

I wasn’t able to post my DT project for Passion for Promarkers on Tuesday or Susie’s Sassy Challenge on Thursday so I will be doing one per day, starting today with my PFP project.

It was the second chance to show you a creation that was ‘anything but a card’ with a Christmas/New Year theme for our mega Christmas challenge, which is running until 5th January 2010.

For my project I decided to make some sour cream containers and wow I couldn’t believe how simple they were to make.  I used paper by daisy bucket designs and images by pink petticoat from the ‘have an ice Christmas’ collection.  I coloured the images with my promarkers and cut them out with my circle nesties.  The plain card is from the papermill shop and the ribbon is dovecraft.  I think I will make some for my sister to decorate the table for Christmas lunch as she is cooking for the whole family this year (yum yum).

I hope you are all prepared and organised (unlike me, who still hasn’t written her cards or wrapped her presents!) for the ‘big’ day.  Please pop back tomorrow to see my Susie’s sassy challenge DT card.  Thanks for stopping by and it’s so great to be finally back with you :)

SWF #36 - sketch (close up 2)

Sorry I haven’t been around for a few days but I’ve been having problems with my computer – hopefully it’s sorted now so normal service can resume!

The new challenge over at stamp with fun this week is a gorgeous sketch by Tina. For my card I used a digi-image by DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Christmas robin’ and coloured it with my promarkers. The stunning papers are all daisy bucket and the white card is from my stash and I inked all the edges with a colorbox cats eye inkpad in rouge. The snowflakes (actually called spangle flourish by ek success) were a pressie from Tracey at Dies to Die For and I smothered the pink one in stickles for extra bling! The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut the paper behind it. The adhesive stones are PM.

Our sponsor this week is cute stamps and cards and one lucky winner will receive this gorgeous stamp:

stempel

I am also entering my card for the following challenges:

Stamptacular Sunday challenge – let it shine (any bling, sparkle and shine)

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – non traditional Christmas colours

Digital Tuesday challenge – Christmas sparkle

Paper cutz challenge – use a digi or hand stamped Christmas image

Stamp something challenge – glitzy somethings

Crafty calendar challenge – winter sparkle

All that scraps Wednesday challenge – Christmas

Stampavie and more – Christmas

Creatalicious challenge – make something for Christmas (include snowflakes & sparkle)

Wow I think that may be a record for me!! Please check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are all stunning and come back later for my cupcake craft challenge card. Thanks for stopping by.

Well have we got a challenge for you at passion for promarkers starting today! It’s not just any old challenge - this challenge will last until 5th January 2010. We don’t mind what colour promarkers you use but we want to see “anything but a card - with a Christmas theme”. As this is such a special challenge our sponsors have come up trumps and we have some extra special prizes up for grabs.

ProMarkerInfo3

Firstly our grand prize has been generously donated by Letraset – they have given us a whole set of promarkers, which includes the old and new colours – that’s 148 pens!! Plus they have also given us 2 x 5 promarker theme packs.

Joanna Sheen has kindly donated a £10.00 voucher for her online store.

Funky kits has kindly donated 8 prizes of Sugar Nellie stamps:
4 x Maggie & Hamish stamps PLUS 4 x Home Grown stamps.

Stampeezee has kindly donated a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Whiff of Joy has kindly donated a ‘Fred Celebrating Elephant’ stamp designed by Alison Acton.

We have a gorgeous stamp set called “a little bit of happiness” and roll of red gingham ribbon kindly donated by Julie, who is an independent stamping up demonstrator.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

For my project I used a basic bingo board and made it into a to-do notice board. I used a gorgeous stamp by PB called ‘xmas kiss’ and coloured it with the following promarkers:

Hedgie – ice grey 3 & 5, ivory, blush and pastel pink

Holly & mistletoe – meadow green, apple green and red

Birdie – tan, caramel, and red

The gingham paper is from my stash (but sadly has no name on it) and the gorgeous patterned paper is daisy bucket called wrapped wishes – snowflake waltz (this is double sided 12x12 paper and I used the distressed design on the reverse). The small snowflakes were cut with my dovecraft punch and the large snowflakes have been cut with my MS arctic punch. The adhesive stones are PM and the beautiful ribbon is dovecraft from the 99p range! The ‘to-do’ stickers are K&Co and are really glittery IRL. I used my circle nesties to cut out my image and my MS doily lace punch for the paper covering the notepad (I didn’t have a lined notepad to hand so had to use this cash-book type book as it was all I could find at short notice!) I inked the edge of the paper with a colorbox cats eye chalk ink pad in rouge. You must check out the rest of the DT projects as they are all stunning! We hope you will enjoy our extended challenge and you can enter as many times as you like, as long as your projects are all “anything but a card - with a Christmas theme”. The DT will also be providing you with more inspiration on the 15th December so don't forget to check back again then. I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.

Thanks for stopping by today and good luck!!

Another male card part 2!

As I said in my earlier post I not that confident making male cards but over the last week or so that all I've been asked to make (typical eh!). This was for a friend in work (who also asked for the farm themed card). I again used the Boys Toys set by See D's and watercoloured the images with my marvy markers. The DP is from the masculine paper pack by dovecraft (as you can tell I think this pack is fab). The blue card is by bazzill and onto that I stamped the dashed circle from daisy bucket designs for a little more impact. Sentiment as usual was done on my pc. Thanks for looking.
