Feeling sorry for myself…..!

I am feeling sorry for myself at the moment as I’m full up with a cold.  My wonderful husband has been looking after me and I haven’t had to do anything for the last 2 days….he is so good to me.  My DS1 is also ill today so we’ve been keeping each other company and comparing ailments lol!

Anyway I do have a card to show you tonight and it fits in with 4 challenges woohoo!  The dutch dare challenge this week is ‘a recipe’, sketch saturday is a brilliant sketch (although I did rotate it), creative card crew is ‘scallops’ and a new challenge that I’ve just discovered is kraftin’ kimmie stamps challenge and their first challenge is ‘birthday’.  I used a gorjuss girl image sent to me by Gina and coloured it with my promarkers.  I added highlights with a white gel pen and cut it out with my rectangle nesties.  The papers are all BG and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon is making memories and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The flowers are cut with my ek success (med & small) retro flower punches.  The adhesive stones are PM and the cute little buttons are from my stash.  I hope you are all well out there is blog-land.  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP challenge 21 - any colours & sketch (close up)

Wow we are already on week 21 over at passion for promarkers challenge – where does the time go?  Our theme this week is again any colours you like but we have a gorgeous sketch for you to use as designed by Gina

For my card I stamped a stamping bella image called ‘cosmobella’ and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Trousers & shoes – lime green and bright green

T-shirt – cardinal red and crimson

Hair – Lemon, canary and mustard

Skin – ivory and blush

Drink – rose pink and red

The outline was done with ice grey 1.  I used a white gel pen for the highlights and added stickles to the drink.  The papers are all BG from the lemonade paper pad and the flowers were cut with my ek success retro flower punches.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft and the sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.

Our sponsor this week is the secret crafter and the winner will receive 6 promarkers of their choice.  I can’t wait to see your gorgeous creations and look forward to visiting your blogs again this week.

I just wanted to let you know that Gina is offering gorgeous candy on her blog at the moment to celebrate her upcoming 40th birthday and also her blogoversary.  Why not pop over and leave a comment, her candy ends 23rd October at 7.30pm.

Cupcake craft challenge #61 – DT card

CCC challenge 61 - buttons & stitches

CCC challenge 61 - buttons & stitches (close up)

Hello and welcome to a new week over at cupcake craft challenge. This week’s challenge is ‘buttons and stitching’ and for my card I used a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Alex & Felicity’. Also there are 3 more images in the set and these are the current offer of the month. I coloured the image with my promarkers and added highlights with a white gel pen (oops I’ve just noticed that I’ve coloured her sleeve in the wrong colour lol!). The papers are all gorgeous MME from the bloom and grow paper pack (will have to re-stock as I’m using it all up) and the flowers are cut with my ek success retro flower punches. I used my martha stewart valentine lace border punch (available from dies to die for) for the decorative edge and also on the flowers (I’ve seen lots of other crafters do this so I thought I’d give it a go. Not perfect but I quite like the effect). My stitching is all ‘faux’, as I don’t have a sewing machine, and is done with a black fineliner pen. For around the image I pierced holes first before drawing in the stitches. The tiny heart buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is a hero arts stamp. Now the sketch I used was drawn by Donna’s 9 year old daughter Sophie – hasn’t she done an amazing job. It was lovely to use and one that I will definitely use again – thank you so much Sophie for letting me use your sketch. Our sponsor this week is The Creative Cottage.

I can’t wait to see your gorgeous creations and look forward to visiting your blogs. If you have time please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are stunning.

I'm also entering my card for the following challenges: stamping for the weekend - colour combo - orange, brown and green, secret crafter challenge - autumn colours and crafty calendar challenge - autumn. Have a fab Monday and thanks for stopping by.

One stop craft challenge #50

** This is my second post for today – please scroll down to see my earlier post **

b'day card (25)

This is my card for this week’s one stop craft challenge, which is ‘birthday cards or projects’.  This is a card I made a little while ago but didn’t get around to posting.  I used a sugar nellie gorjuss girl image called ‘bumble bee’ from Funky Kits and coloured her with my promarkers, adding stickles to her wings.  The paper is DCVW from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  I used my martha stewart zigzag embossed border punch for the decorative edge and my ek success retro flower punches for the flowers.  The leaves were cut with my L’em punch.  The adhesive pearls are kanban and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The gorgeous raffia ribbon was a birthday pressie from Helen.  The colours look a little ‘off’ but IRL they matched a lot better.

Stamp something challenge

This week’s challenge over at stamp something is ‘brown plus something’.  I went to a retirement party on Friday night and this is the card I made for the lucky lady, which fits perfectly with their challenge.  I used an image by cc designs called ‘kiki la rue – coffee’ (which is available at dies to die for) and coloured her with my promarkers, adding highlights with white gel pen.  The pink paper is provocraft and the brown paper is making memories.  The border edge was a RAK and the flowers were cut with my ek success (large, medium and small) retro flower punches.  The sentiment is elzybells (which comes as one long sentiment but I cut it apart) and the adhesive stone is PM.  I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday afternoon, it’s not very nice here – quite wet and grey but at least it’s good weather to craft lol!  Thanks for stopping by today.

A card for 6 challenges!

b'day card (6)

b'day card (6) close up 2

Sorry I’ve been MIA but it’s been a busy few days in work and I’ve been pooped when I’ve gotten home.  I’ll be catching up with everyone’s blogs over the weekend – I promise!   This is my card for 6 challenges this week – the pile it on challenge #18 is ‘3 dimensional’, the Friday sketcher’s challenge #72 is obviously the sketch I followed, the pollycraft challenge #25 is ‘5 “S” words’ (and I chose stripes and sparkle), the creative card crew challenge #31 is ‘it’s a celebration’, the secret crafter challenge is also ‘celebration’ and the anyone for anya? challenge is ‘you’re anya’.  I chose birthday anya as I have a very sweet tooth (that’s why I’m so cuddly) and could eat her cake at any time of the day or night lol :0).  For the pile it on challenge I interpreted the theme by stamping the cake twice and raising the second layer up with a foam pad (decoupage style), also my flowers and image are raised up on foam pads too.  I coloured birthday anya with my promarkers and used my rectangle nesties to cut it out.  The papers are all gorgeous BG from the sugared paper pad and the flowers were cut out with my ek success medium and small retro flowers.  The sentiment is SU from the circle of friendship set and was cut out with the SU 1” circle punch.  The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM.  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP challenge 20 - any colours & recipe

PFP challenge 20 - any colours & recipe (close up)

Wow I can’t believe we are on week 20 already over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week’s challenge has been set by yours truly and I have chosen the theme – any colours but you must follow a recipe – 3 shapes (not including your card base), 2 papers and 1 ribbon.  For my card I used an image kindly sent to me by Gina and coloured it with the following promarkers:

Hair – cool grey 1-5

Dress, tights and hair clip – mint green and soft green

Skin – ivory, blush & pastel pink

White gel pen for highlights

The papers are all DCWV from the nana’s nursery (boy) stack.  I used my rectangle nesties to cut out the image and the flowers were cut with my medium and small ek success retro flower punches.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches behind it.  The ribbon is american crafts and the adhesive stones are BG.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and the lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.  I hope you will enjoy using the recipe and look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations.  Thanks for stopping by.
