Bee crafty challenge #58–DT card

Happy Sunday dear friends.  Where do the weekends go?  I can’t believe it’s already gone 6pm and I haven’t achieved anything yet today lol!  I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend – I have to say the weather here is South Wales has been pretty good, we’ve even seen some sunshine (shhhh don’t want to scare it away)!

I’m a bad DT member again this month as I’m only now sharing my DT card for this month’s Bee Crafty challenge – but hey at least it’s only the 8th this month (*hangs head in shame*).  We have an easy theme this month – we want to see celebratory cards or crafts, this could be to mark the New Year, or be for a birthday, special event etc... just make 'celebration' the theme and we are especially keen to see balloons.  Here is my card:

I have used a super cute image called “fluffy bunny birthday”  and I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers and also added diamond glaze to his balloon for a bit of shine.  The papers are my minds eye “everyday flair” and the edges were distressed and inked with a cats eye chalk ink pad.

The prize as always is 2 digi images from the bee crafty shop and the challenge ends at the end of the month.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Paper sundaes challenge – saturated colours

Quirky crafts challenge – food glorious food

Southern girls challenge – show us your sparkle

Crafty Ann’s challenge – let’s think hot (colours)

Fussy and fancy challenge – happy birthday or use animal print

Simply create too challenge – layers, layers and more layers

Cupcake craft challenge #172–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again friends, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week our lovely boss lady Faye has set the theme and she has chosen to give us a fantastic sketch to use.  I really enjoyed using the sketch and will definitely be using it again.  Here is my card:

and here is the sketch:

CCC challenge 173 sketch

I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Stan with beer’ and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers and I added some diamond glaze to the froth on his pint of beer.  The papers are wild rose studio from the ‘for men’ paper pack and I used my very last scraps of elzybells kraft card (sob!!).  I kept the layout really simple as the card is for my uncle and only added a punched star and button.   I have to say that I’m quite pleased with the finished card, even though it’s fuss free – makes a nice change sometimes doesn’t it?

Our challenge will last until 24th December but the DT will then have the following 2 weeks off to spend with our families therefore as a special treat this week we have 3 sponsors this week. Firstly we have tickled pink stamps who are offering a prize of either one rubber stamp or two digi's of winner's choice, our second sponsor is Crafty Emma’s store  and they are offering a £10 gift voucher and our third sponsor is Digital Delights who are offering 3 images of winner’s choice.

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsor and for December that is Polka Doodles and 2 lucky winners will receive the Pretty Sweet CD

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – anything except Christmas

The crafty pad challenge – anything but Christmas

Cute card Thursday challenge – stripes (on his shirt??)

Little miss muffet challenge – buttons and ribbons (hope it’s ok that I only have 1 of each)

Frosted designs challenge – ribbon

Really reasonable ribbon challenge – anything goes + ribbon

Totally papercrafts challenge – time to party

CES challenge – party, party, party

Totally gorjuss challenge – for someone special

Paper sundaes challenge – celebrate

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge this week, don’t forget it ends on 24th December and then our next challenge will begin on 9th January 2012.  I would like to welcome my newest follower Karen Letchworth who left me the most kindest, loveliest comment – it was much appreciated hun and I hope you continue to like my creations.

I have to try and get organised tonight – I still haven’t written my cards, although at least I do have some to write this year and I’ve not wrapped any presents yet!!  Nothing like being last minute is there lol!  I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #73 – DT card

** This is my second post for today -

CCC challenge 73 - going girly

CCC challenge 73 - going girly (close up 1)

CCC challenge 73 - going girly (close up 2)

Wow the week’s are just flying by aren’t they – it’s Monday so that means it time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge. This week’s theme has been chosen by the super talented Donna and it is ‘going girly’. Our sponsor this week is Stretch N Bubbles and the DT were lucky enough to be offered some of their digital images for our samples. For my card I used one of their images called ‘spreading love Bonnie’ and I coloured her with promarkers, adding stickles to her wings and diamond glaze to the hearts. The papers are BG from the lemonade paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is SU from the circle of friendship set and the flowers are from tabby crafts. As I didn’t have flowers in the right colour scheme I coloured white ones with my promarkers to match my image – I think they look quite good.

The winner of this week’s challenge will receive 4 digi images PLUS each of the Top 5 winners will also receive 1 digi image courtesy of Stretch N Bubbles – how cool is that!

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious – sketch

A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge – Hearts

Digital Tuesday challenge – Valentines

ABC challenge – L is for layering

I hope you’ll take the time to check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are all stunning. I can’t wait to see what you create this week and look forward to visiting your blogs. Thanks for stopping by.

CCC #46 – DT card

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer (close up 1)

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer (close up 2)

This week’s cupcake challenge has been chosen by Kathrin and the theme is ‘It’s summer’. If you haven’t visited Kathrin’s blog – why not!! Her cards are simply stunning and her attention to detail is amazing. When I read the challenge I immediately thought of the beach and this image just seemed perfect. The image is from DigiStamp Boutique and his name is ‘Scuba Josh’. I coloured Josh with my promarkers and added diamond glaze to his goggles, although it’s really hard to tell in the photo. The dp is all DCWV from the nana's nursery boy stack. The papers are really glittery IRL and this made taking a good photo really difficult, so I hope you’ll forgive me. I cut the scalloped edge with my fiskars decorative scissors and the adhesive pearls are kanban. I “borrowed” two of my sons shells that he collected from the beach to add a bit of dimension to the card. I haven’t added a sentiment as I’m not sure who will be the lucky recipient yet lol! Please check out all the DT cards as they are stunning and I can’t wait to see your summery creations. Thanks for stopping by today.

Basic grey challenge #23

I was asked to make a card by a lady at work but she wanted it A4 size so that her whole department could sign it. Now I have made quite a few of this size card before but they aren't my favourite as it is such a large space to fill. I decided to use the colour combo challenge on basic grey for my inspiration for this card (I opted for pink and green). I stamped the images and sentiments from the crazy for cupcakes SU stamp set and coloured them with my pro-markers adding diamond glaze to the cherries and sprinkles. The gorgeous dp is obviously basic grey from the sultry paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was generated on my pc and the adhesive pearls are by kanban. The flowers are a combination of primas, punched flowers, flowers from my stash and there is also a spacer (from ebay). I am quite pleased with how this turned out. Thanks for looking.

MTTC #49/LOTV #19

Here is my card for this week's my time to craft challenge, which is 'pink and brown' and the lily of the valley challenge is a recipe '3 brads, 2 papers and 1 flower'. I stamped my new SU crazy for cupcakes image and coloured it with my pro-markers. I added diamond glaze to the cherries and stickles to the icing. The yummy dp (one patterned and one plain) is BG from the sultry paper pad. The pearl brads are PM (I think!) and the flower is from my stash. The sentiment is also from the same SU stamp set. I don't normally leave any white showing on my card and it does look a little bare to me, but I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Friday sketchers #37/Crafty Muse challenge

This is my card for the Friday sketchers challenge which this week was a really simple sketch (my kind of sketch haha) and the crafty muse challenge is 'something sweet'. I stamped the cupcake image (which I bought from Inque Boutique in the USA, the label says See D's but they aren't like the ones we see in the UK, so don't think they are the same company) and the sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I coloured the image with my pro-markers and added diamond glaze to the cherry and sprinkles. The dp is all from the PM sweet nothings paper pad and the black cs is from the papermill shop. The black ribbon is from my stash and the gems are also from the papermill shop. I prinked around the top corners of the image panel for a little bit of added interest. Thanks for looking.

Cupcake bella

I had to make an 18th birthday card so I stamped the bella image and coloured her with my pro-markers. I added stickles to the cupcake frosting and diamond glaze to the cherry. I used gorgeous dp by basic grey and plain cs from the papermill shop. The 18 and alphabet stickers are by k & co (and they are lovely IRL) and the sentiment was done on my pc. The flowers are prima and the adhesive stones are papermania. The heart pin was from ebay and the gingham bow was from ideal world (many moons ago). I also highlighted the swirls on the dp with my sakura glaze pen. Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something & Friday Sketchers challenge

Another combined challenge yet again!! The stamp something challenge this week was "candy" and the friday sketchers was 'shock horror' - a sketch!!! I used a stamp set by Inque Boutique called party cupcakes. I coloured the image using pencils and added a little diamond glaze to the cherry on top. The dp is from the sweet nothings paper pack by papermania and the adhesive stones are also by papermania. The flowers are from my stash. Thanks for looking.

80th Birthday

I needed to make a card for an 80 year old man. I used an image from the Boys Toys set by See D's and watercoloured it with my marvy markers (I don't think you can see that well in the pic but I added diamond glaze to the wine glass). I distressed the image panel and the green cardstock panel with my heidi swapp edge distresser. This is the first time I've used this tool but I like the finished result, definitely one to use again. The DP is again from the masculine paper pack by dovecraft and I used my pc for the sentiment. The brad is from my stash. For a little extra detail I paper-pricked on the image panel and sentiment panel. Thanks for looking.
