Cupcake Craft Challenge #48 – DT card

CCC challenge 48 - blossoms & butterflies

This week’s challenge over at cupcake craft challenge is ‘blossoms and butterflies’ and was chosen by the lovely Liza.  This will probably be a doodle for all of you as flowers are the must have embellishment at the moment lol!  I used a digi-image by cc designs called ‘gretel’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The green paper is DCWV from the aptly named blossoms and butterflies pad.  The plain yellow cs is from my stash and the flowery dp is by kaisercraft.  The felt flowers are a freebie from a craft magazine and the butterfly charm was a RAK.  The adhesive stones are PM and I doodled a wavy border with my black fineliner pen.  Don’t forget to check out the other DT cards as they are amazing and I look forward to seeing you cards again this week.  Thanks for stopping by today.

I am so lucky to "know" all of you and feel priveleged to be part of this fantastic community. I am being taken out for lunch and a movie later so if I don't get chance to post pics of my cards etc later I will definitely do it tomorrow but I just wanted to let you know how blessed I feel. You are a wonderful lot and I appreciate you all. Thanks again.

Here’s Bernard……

Bernard digistamp boutique

Bernard (close up)

This is one of Sally-Ann’s new downloads over at DigiStamp Boutique and he’s called Bernard.  There are three different images available and this one is called ‘what’s that noise’.  When you get this particular download your image won’t have the musical notes as I drew them on myself (quite pleased with that lol!).  The three Bernard images are the Offer of the Month over at DigiStamp Boutique this month so go here to check them out.  Onto my card………. I coloured the image with my promarkers and as I mentioned drew the musical notes above the birdie.  The sparkly cs is from my stash and the spotty dp is by buzzcraft.  The ribbon is from my stash (very pleased with my bow too as I’m usually useless with them) and the decorative edges are cut with my new fiskars border punch.  The sentiment is also DigiStamp Boutique.

I’m also going to enter this card at Bee Crafty as their current challenge is ‘things with wings’ (you don’t have to use a bee crafty image but you do have to include something digital i.e. image or papers).

Thanks for stopping by today.  Only one more sleep until my birthday *yay*.

6 challenges in one!

cards2 002

b'day card (24) close up

I was on a roll with this card and I managed to fit in 6 challenges (a first for me woohoo!). The challenges are:

Pile it On – 3 different embellishments

Stamp with us – card for a child

Secret Crafter – 3 ribbons

Creative Card Crew – ribbons

Pollycraft – to the point - arrows (incidentally they have now changed their rules so if you don't have a pollycraft image you can still enter their challenges!

One Stop Craft Challenge – stars and stripes

I used a digi image called ‘skateboard Josh’ from DigiStamp Boutique and coloured it with my promarkers. The striped paper, ribbons, sentiment and ovals behind it are all SU. The plain cs and buttons are from my stash and I used my CB embossing folders on the cs (swiss dots on the blue and diamond plate on the red). The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch and the arrows were cut out of the paper. The two small stars are adhesive stones by PM. I’m really happy with this card and was worried it would look too overloaded but I think it’s ok, let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by today.

Digital Tuesday #14/DU2DS #14

b'day card (25)

b'day card (25) close up

As I’ve had some time off from work this week I thought I’d join in with some challenges as I haven’t seemed to take part in many of late.  This card is my entry for two challenges – Digital Tuesday asked for “sweet birthdays” and Dare you to Digi Stamp asked for “embossing”.  I used a freebie digi-image from Bee Crafty and coloured it with my promarkers.  I cut two circles with my nesties and embossed the white circle in the CB with the swiss dots folder.  The papers are all BG and a new paper pad (to me anyway) called lemonade, so yummy.  The sentiment is PB and I cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The flowers are imaginisce and the pearl brads are PM.  I used my new fiskars border punch for the decorative edge on the paper.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion For Promarkers Week 7 – DT card

PM challenge 7 - cocoa & cornflower

PM challenge 7 - cocoa & cornflower (close up 1)

Oops, better late than never, I actually forgot to post this card yesterday (slap from Gina lol!).  Can’t believe we’re already on Week 7 of the Passion for Promarkers challenge (yes I know I’ve said that every week so far).  Our colour combo this week was chosen by the very talented Debbi and is Cornflower Blue and Cocoa with the added twist of a sketch.  I love sketches as they give you a starting point, ‘cos that is one less part of the card to faff about with haha!  I’m not entirely happy with my card as a) I was feeling a little under the weather when I made it and b) it was the night before the challenge posted so I was rushing.  I love the colours together and the sketch is fantastic so I only have myself to blame.  Anywho onto my card…….  I stamped the stamping bella ‘underwatergoddess-abella’ image and coloured her with cornflower blue and china blue for her fishy tail, bra and flowers, cocoa for her hair, gold for her star and outlined the image with cool grey 1 and I punched out the image with a woodware scalloped circle punch.  The two blue papers are doodlebug and the brown paper is SU.  The sentiments are from craftwork cards and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  I punched out the flowers with my ek success medium retro flower punch and added brads from my stash to the centres.  I hope you will take up our challenge this week, we can’t wait to visit your blogs and see your lovely creations.  Please don’t forget to visit all the DT and see their stunning cards.  Our sponsor this week is Debbie from Stampeezee and she is offering two lovely stamps this week – Hawaii Tilda and Hawaii palm tree – very yummy indeed.
