Sketch saturday #45

I love the sketch saturday challenges but unfortunately haven't been able to participate for a few weeks, so I am really pleased that I got a chance to make a card for the challenge this week. This week's sketch was by Tracie (and a great sketch it is too). I did rotate the sketch as it fitted my image that way around. I stamped the FF image and coloured him with pro-markers. I also added highlights to the flowers with a sakura stardust pen (can you tell I love these pens lately lol). The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used my fiskars threading water punch to create the decorative edge. The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment was created on the pc. I made this card for my auntie whose birthday it was yesterday. Happy Good Friday to you all and thanks for stopping by.

Happy birthday Diane

Today is my virtual friend Diane's birthday - happy birthday hun!! I can show you the card/folder I made now as I know she has received it. I stamped my new Geisha Anya (the greeting farm from dies to die for) and coloured her with my pro-markers, adding a few highlights with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The adhesive pearls are kanban (nearly all gone oh no!) and the sentiment is craftwork cards. The button, ribbon, flowers and alphabet bead are all from my stash. I followed the sketch on charisma cardz but unfortunately I missed the deadline to enter it for the challenge. Never mind 'cos I love how it turned out, the colour scheme is really nice and I should use it more often (note to self). If you haven't already visited Diane's blog, why not? Her work is absolutely stunning so go and take a look here. Thanks for stopping by.

Friday sketchers #46

This is my card for the friday sketchers sketch this week. I made it for an order for a lady at work. I stamped the woodware image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The gorgeous dp is by BG and the blue textured mirror card is from a stack by DCWV (I think but I've lost the front cover lol). I used my sakura stardust pen to add highlights to the image and the sentiment is from craftwork cards. The flowers, brads and pearls are from my stash and I used my fiskars threading water punch to create the decorative edge. I rotated the sketch to fit my image. This card was for an older lady so I think it's traditional enough but with a modern twist. Hope you like, thanks for stopping by.

LOTV #24/Dutch Dare #42/Stamp Something/OCCC

This card was made as part of a set of 12 I made for my boss at work. They all used the same basic ingredients and layout, just a variety of images. This image is elzybells and is coloured with my trusty pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The adhesive gems are PM and the sentiment is PB. As Easter is almost upon us this card fits the bill for 4 challenges this week - lily of the valley, dutch dare, stamp something and our creative corner, which are all asking for an Easter card or project. I'll be back later with another card but until then, thanks for stopping by.

Gorjuss birthday!

Firstly apologies for the very 'wonky' photo. No I was not drunk when I took the pic, it just happened that way haha! I made this card (A4 in size) for a very special order in work. The lady that ordered it is terminally ill and she wanted a card for her grand-daughter. I felt very pressurised to make a really fantastic card and thankfully she did love it - 'phew'!! I stamped three miss anya images (the greeting farm from dies to die for) and coloured them with my pro-markers. The die cut panels were a RAK, but I think they were cut with nesties. I added highlights to my images with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive dots are from QVC. The gingham bows are from ideal world. I used an x-cut paper punch to cut out the flowers (2 sizes) and added an adhesive dot the centre. Thanks for stopping by.

My mother's birthday card

I used a sakura stardust pen to colour in her wings. The dp is all BG from the boxer paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment was created on the pc. The finished card is A5 is size. Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake Craft Challenge "Folds"

Well here it is, my first DT submission for the Cupcake Craft Challenge - woohoo I'm so excited!!. The challenge was 'folds' which had to be anything except a card, with 3 or more folds. Now regular visitors to my blog will know that I'm mostly a card person so this was definitely a challenge for me (I said to Lauren that I expected a challenge but maybe not on the very first one lol!!). I had wanted to make one of these 'milk' cartons for sometime so this was the ideal time to have a go. I used a cadbury carton (that my kids had filled with chocolate at Christmas) and pulled it apart and used that as a template. I used plain cs from the papermill shop as the basis for the carton and the gorgeous image is from elzybells. I coloured the image with my trusty pro-markers and punched it out with my woodware scalloped square paper punch. The dp is doodlebug and the stamped sentiment is by PB. The flowers, brad, ribbon and lace are all from my stash. Now I know it's not 100% perfect but it was my first go and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I would love to know what you think (good or bad haha). Don't forget to check out the challenge on CCC and I look forward to seeing your creations. Thanks for stopping by.
