Cards For All Seasons IG Hop - Week 18

Hello friends; I hope you're having a great week so far. I'm back today to share my card for this week's Cards for All Seasons IG hop organised by my lovely friend Kelly. We are now on Week 18 and our theme is 'the great outdoors'. Such a fun theme this week; think camping, tents, campfires, bears, etc. There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I managed to get my hands on this fun camper van stamp & die set from Heffy Doodle before it closed and had never used it so I thought it would be perfect for this week's theme.  It's a tiny set that also includes a sentiment, a small tree and some silhouette flying birds (the 'tick' style ones). The layout was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  I think it turned out super cute and I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the camper van:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by stamping the camper van onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with Promarkers, added a few white gel pen highlights and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I also stamped 9 of the trees in 2 shades of green ink and again used the matching die to cut them out.  I cut a brown panel of card 3 15/16" x 5 3/16" and used a very old cuttlebug embossing folder for some texture.  I added it to a kraft mat layer that was cut to 4" x 5 1/4" with liquid glue. I cut the orange patterned paper 3 1/16" x 4 1/4" and again adhered it to a kraft layer with liquid glue.  The checked paper was cut to 1 9/16" x 4 15/16" and matted onto a kraft layer with liquid glue.  I added the paper layers to the embossed panel with liquid glue.  I die cut a circle from kraft card and stamped the sentiment at the very bottom using a dark brown ink pad (the birthday came from another set).  I added the trees with liquid glue and the camper van with foam squares.  The circle was adhered to the lower right corner of the panel with foam squares.  For a final finishing touch I added some orange and green enamel dots.  I added some scrap white card behind the panel for stability and dimension and then adhered it to the card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut a white panel 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and adhered it to a kraft mat with liquid glue.  I added a strip of orange paper to the top and a strip of the checked paper to the bottom of the panel with liquid glue.  I added 2 of the trees and another camper van to the bottom left corner with liquid glue.  Finally I stamped a sentiment in the centre with dark brown ink. The panel was adhered to the card base with double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Cut Above challenge - ATG with a die cut (I die cut my camper van, trees and circle)

Patterned Paper IG Hop - August

Hello friends; I hope you're having a great week so far.  I'm here today to share my card for this month's Patterned Paper Party Instagram Hop. Do you love patterned paper? Do you have a huge stash that needs using? Well so do we and it's time to get it used! We will be hopping on the 20th of each month to share our ideas. We will definitely be creating cards, but maybe sometimes tags, ATCs, gift bags, boxes, mini albums and scrapbook pages too. We want our patterned paper to be used.
The theme is always 'anything goes' but each month we will have an optional twist that can be used if you like; this month the twist is 'banner' so grab your banner dies and your patterned papers and have fun. I was inspired by a gorgeous layout I saw on Pinterest so that was my starting point.  I used pretty, soft colours and a CAS design.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the pretty papers:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4".  I wanted a strip of grey behind my banners but couldn't find any paper I liked so I cut a 1 1/2" strip from fog grey card and stamped a pin dot pattern in a tone on tone grey ink.  I added this to the right side of the panel with double sided tape.  I cut the banners from 3 different patterned papers (but from the same pad) and also one from white card, which I used to stamp my sentiment.  I'm finding lately that I need thank you cards so that's what I made today.  I adhered the 3 patterned banners in a staggered layout with liquid glue; the white banner was added over the top with foam squares.  I finished off with some enamel dots (I found quite a few packets recently so I'm trying to use them up).  I added some scrap white card behind my panel for stability and dimension and then this was added to my card base with double sided tape. For the inside I cut another white panel 4" x 5/14" and added a tone on tone stamped grey strip of card to the bottom with double sided tape.  I die cut another set of banners and adhered them at the bottom of the panel with liquid glue.  I stamped a sentiment in the centre with black ink.  The panel was adhered to the card base with double sided tape.  I'm really happy with how this card turned out and it was relatively quick to make too, which was a bonus.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

AAA Cards challenge - anything CAS goes optional twist 'all the greens'
A Cut Above challenge - ATG with a die cut

Krafty Chicks challenge #718 - ATG

Good morning friends; it's Thursday so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge.  As it's a 5 week month our theme this week is Anything Goes, so you can create whatever you like.
It was my brother-in-law's birthday last week so needed a masculine card for my boys to give him.  I went graphic and bold for my card.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the stamping:
I decorated the inside:
Once I had decided on my products, I think this was one of the fastest cards I have ever made!!  I began by stamping the background in black ink onto a white card panel.  It is a small background stamp so I turned it sideways and stamped it twice to make a complete background for my panel.  I cut the width of my panel slightly smaller so that I could add a strip of light green card down the left hand side and the whole panel was added to the card base with double sided tape.  I used 3 separate stamp sets to create my sentiment but as they were all the same font they look like they were meant to be together.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink and cut it with a stitched die and matted it onto a piece of the light green card.  This was added onto the card with foam squares.  I found some enamel dots (trying to use up some older stuff) in almost the exact same colour green so added a few around the sentiment.  For the inside I cut a white panel and stamped the background stamp at the bottom and added a strip of green card to add a decorative edge.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre of the panel in black ink.  I added the panel to the card base with double sided tape.  A really simple card but quite striking and although not my usual colour scheme I think it works.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Classic Design challenge - ATG optional masculine
Everybody Art challenge - circles and/or stripes (I have lines and dots - please delete me if not appropriate)
Tic Tac Toe challenge - #248 - masculine/free/masculine sentiment

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'Anything Goes' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky.  Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - LeanneDiane and Lori and also our guest designer for May, Rachelle

Thanks for stopping by.

Love and hugs,

Fall for Wednesdays IG hop - Week 2

Happy Wednesday friends.  I'm back to share week 2 of the Falling for Wednesdays IG hop.  This week's theme is 'fall favourites' so we want to see anything you love doing in the fall (or autumn to us Brits!).

It may not come as any surprise but I am not an outdoorsy person so no pumpkin patches or walking in leaves for me lol!  I decided that my favourite thing to do in autumn in cuddle on the sofa with a nice warm coffee so that is what my card is all about.  I can't wait to see what your favourites are.

Here is my card:

a closer look at the image:

I dug out a really old red rubber stamp and began by stamping the image and colouring it with Promarkers.  I fussy cut it out and put it one side.  I decided to use some patterned paper again today and dug out some patterns that I thought went well with the image.  I went for a dark green card for my mats and adhered them all together with liquid glue.  I die cut a decorative oval from white card and a matching plain oval from the green card and again adhered them with liquid glue.  My image was added with thin foam squares and placed onto the oval.  I found the perfect strip sentiment and stamped it in green ink and die cut it out.  I placed it bottom centre under my oval with thin foam squares.  A few enamel dots to compliment my colours and my card was finished.  A fairly simple card but it looks really pretty in real life.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafters Cafe challenge - colours of the garden

I hope you will pop over to Instagram and check out the hop.  As always please use the hashtag #ffwcardgroup23 to see all the hop participants and for us to find your creations if you want to join in the fun.

Have a lovely day and thank you so much for stopping by.
