Charisma cardz #6–DT card

Good morning friends, I forgot to schedule my post last night so I’m hastily typing it before I go to work (never a good idea lol).  It’s time for a brand new challenge over at charisma cardz challenge and this week the lovely Carol has chosen the theme “mythical/fantasy”.  I decided to use a CC designs mermaid digi image as they are both mythical and fantasy I think.  I have gone “clean and simple” on my card but I’m not sure if I like it – some crafters make this style of card look so stylish and elegant but I can’t seem to get to grips with it.  Here is my card (let me know what you think about my attempt at CAS):

charisma cardz #6 - magical & fantasy

charisma cardz #6 - magical & fantasy (close up)

I have used another scalloped card (that was found under my desk!) and the image is called ‘mermaid Emma’.  I coloured her with my promarkers of course and added stickles to her waist and hairband.  There is an awful lot of white on my card…..mmm I’m not sure!!

We have two sponsors this week – firstly we have All That Scraps and they are offering the lucky winner either 1 stamp set or 4 single stamps.

All that scraps

Our second sponsor is Pink Cat Studio and they are offering the lucky winner 5 digi images of their choice.

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Clean and simple challenge – sketch (I hope it’s ok I put the sentiment in a different place)

Pear tree designs challenge – free for all

Karber challenge – movie theme (I’ve gone with the little mermaid)

Aly’s Sunday challenge – bling bling

Little Claire’s challenge – anything goes (second entry)

Craft your passion challenge – anything goes

I love promarkers challenge – birthday theme and blog hop

So that’s it from me today. I am rushing to get to work now so I’ll add my ingredient list later.  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Passion for promarkers #86–DT card

Good morning friends, it’s Tuesday so that can only mean one thing – a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week our theme has been set by Michele and she has chosen “let there be love”, it doesn’t have to be a valentine’s creation it could be a wedding or anniversary card if you like or simply a card to say I love you!!  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 86 - let there be love

PFP challenge 86 - let there be love (close up)

I have used a super cute image from Some Odd Girl called ‘sweet Kody’ and chose muted colours of kraft, red and white as I think it makes for a more masculine card.  I found this scalloped card in a pile under my desk and thought it would make a nice change from the traditional square card that I always use!

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

We are sadly saying goodbye to Caryn from the design team as her business is doing really well and she can’t craft as much as she likes.  Also Gina is taking a step back from creating as her online business is really good at the moment too (although she will still be my partner in crime on the blog).  We are pleased to announce that we will have two new members from next week Heidi and Maya.  Please check out their blogs as their work is stunning.

Winter wonderland–DT card

Good morning everyone – woohoo it’s Friday - thank crunchie for that lol!  I am so glad the weekend is almost here, although it’s supposed to very wet and windy, so perfect weather for crafting!!  I’m here this morning to share with you my DT card for this week’s winter wonderland challenge and  Lynsey has set the theme this week and she has chosen ‘reach for the stars’.  This was a great challenge for me as I had to make a birthday card for a one year old boy and I love to add stars to boys/men’s cards.  Here is my card:

WW #2 - reach for the stars

WW #2 - reach for the stars (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘one today’ and you receive a boy version and an equally adorable girl version for just one amazing price.  I decided to use this bright and cheerful paper as I thought it was ideal for a little boy.

Our sponsor this week is Craftbrulee and the lucky winner will receive a surprise prize.  Unfortunately Jennifer has decided to close her online store but she is still trading through eBay.

Charisma cardz #4–DT card

Happy Thursday friends, I can’t believe how fast this week is going.  It is my first week back in work since I hurt my back and it’s very busy with lots to catch up on which means the time is whizzing by there too (which is fantastic lol!).  I hope you are all having a good week so far and that the weather isn’t too bad for you, although it’s pretty wet and wild here at the moment.  At least we are luckier than the poor people in Australia, I hope everyone is safe there.

Enough of my rambling!!  I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge and this week we have a really tricky challenge for you.  Leah wants us to only use an image, papers and a sentiment so no embellishments whatsoever!  Oh my goodness how difficult is that???  I decided the safe bet was to make a male themed card as I don’t tend to fuss them too much anyway.  Here is my card:

charisma #4 - image, sentiment and papers only

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Barney and heart’ and isn’t he just so adorable.  Sally-Ann has released lots of new images for February and there are quite a few different Barney images to buy (and I love them all).  The offer of the month for February is a gorgeous cutie called Grace (see top of my sidebar for details) and there are 4 images for £2.99, which is brilliant value.

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Make it Crafty

Passion for promarkers #85–DT card

Good morning to all my lovely friends.  I hope you are having a good week so far.  I was well enough to go back to work yesterday (groan) although my back is still not 100% better.  It was lovely to see all my friends at work, and they always make me feel so valued and missed, which is wonderful but I still think I’d rather be home crafting lol!  I’m back again this morning with my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week it’s Ida’s turn to set the theme and she has chosen to give us an inspirational photo to use.  Here is the photo:

PFP challenge 85 Ida's inspirational photo

It’s entirely up to you what you take from the picture, whether it be the colour scheme, the clouds or even just the landscape scene itself.  I decided to use the colour scheme as I needed a card for a male friend in work and the blue/white/light brown colours worked really well for that.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 85 - Ida's photo inspiration

I have used a super cute image from Pollycraft called ‘Cuthbert party’.  I love this sweet little bear and he is suitable for all ages I think.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive one of their stamping kits.
