Charisma cardz #2 – DT card!

Hi everyone, I’m sorry I meant to post this yesterday but time just got away from me.  I’m here to share my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge and I will also be announcing the lucky winner of my mini-candy at the end of the post.  This week’s theme over at charisma is “good luck” so as long as it’s got good luck in the wording somewhere you will be fine!  Again as I couldn’t make a new card I submitted an older card that I found in my archives that I had never blogged before.  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #2 - good luck

charisma cardz #2 - good luck (close up)

The image is a sugar nellie stamp by Leanne Ellis called “fizz”.  I really should dig out all my older SN stamps as I have quite a few and I rarely use them, which is sad!

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Tellen’s Place and they are offering a $10.00 voucher to spend in their etsy shop.

Tellen's Place logo

Our second sponsor is The Stamping Boutique and they are offering 5 digis of the winner’s choice.

The rest of the DT have created amazing cards as always, so please pop over the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafter’s companion challenge – sketch and/or something new (my card covers both)

Order of the opus gluei challenge – tropical (I think my colours are tropical)

Ooh la la creations challenge – bling it on (my gems and glittery paper)

I love promarkers challenge – punches

Oldie but a goodie challenge – bright and cheerful

Top tip Tuesday challenge – anything goes (second entry)

Crafty creations challenge – new beginnings (my card is for a new job)

Creative craft world challenge – anything goes

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – let’s get warm and toasty i.e. warm colours

Stampavie and more challenge – glitter (my paper is very glittery)

Creative cottage challenge – something new (again my card is for a new job)

Meljen’s challenge – square or round cards only

Easy craft projects challenge – use your old stash (everything on my card is old!)

Crafty calendar challenge – new beginnings & option punched border (my card covers both)

So now onto the exciting bit, the part you have all been waiting for, the lucky winner of my mini-candy.  The prize was a new simply sassy image by Sugar Nellie Stamps called “Bella bunting”.  Here is a pic to remind you:

So without further ado, the lucky winner of the SN stamp is CHRISTINE who left me this comment:

Blogger Tine said... Hi Denise. A lovely card as usual! I hope your great aunt loved her special card for her special birthday. Tine :)

DT catch up post!!

** Warning  - this is going to be a really long post **

Grab a cuppa and a few biscuits to keep you going!

I’m really sorry I’ve been missing in action this week but I’ve hurt my back (again) and have been in considerable pain, so crafting has been a no-go (which is killing me lol!).  Anyway I thought I had better spend 5 minutes to catch up with my DT challenges this week.  Now for some of them I have managed to find a previously un-blogged card in my archives that I could share but for some I didn’t submit a card this week (boohoo!)

Firstly this week’s theme over at stamp with fun challenge is “snow”.  Now I know some of you are sick of wintery cards but it’s the perfect excuse to get an early start on this year’s Christmas cards lol!  I’m sorry but I don’t have a card to share with you for this challenge but please pop over to the challenge blog to see the lovely cards the rest of the DT have made.  We have a sponsor and a prize for this week’s challenge so an extra reason to dig out those snowy images!

Our sponsor is Cute Stamps and Cards and the lucky winner will receive this gorgeous Belles & Whistles stamp.

The next challenge is the cupcake craft challenge and it was my turn to set the theme this week and I chose “something new” which could mean new baby, new home or even new stash you had for Christmas!  I managed to find a new home card that I hadn’t shared with you that I made some time ago.  Here is my card using a super cute Stamping Bella image:

CCC challenge 124 - something new

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and the lucky winner will receive 4 digis of their choice from their online store.

Don’t forget we also have our “icing on the cupcake” prizes for January and we are spoiling you this month as we have 3 prizes up for grabs.  For full details check out the challenge blog.  The rest of the DT have created amazing cards this week so please pop over and check them out.

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Fairy fun challenge – new beginnings

Really reasonable ribbon challenge – something new and ribbon

Winter wonderland challenge – let’s go dotty (doesn’t have to be Christmas)

Craft your days away challenge – anything goes

Stamp, scrap & doodle challenge – new beginnings

Meljen’s challenge – square or round cards only

Sassy studio designs challenge – use something you’ve had for at least a year (my image and papers lol!)

I’m not going to add an ingredient list as it will make my mega post even longer otherwise!

Lastly the theme over at passion for promarkers challenge this week is “baby cards” and again it was my turn to choose the theme.  I’m really disappointed that I don’t have a card to share as I really love making baby cards.  They are just so sweet aren’t they.  However the girls have done a brilliant job and Gro and Ida have even helped me out by making two cards this week – thanks girls!

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and she is offering a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online shop.

joanna sheen

I apologise for the lack of cards this week but I hope that normal service will be resumed next week – fingers crossed.  I have lots of lovely new stash to play with and it’s just calling to me!

I will be back a little later with my DT card for this week’s Charisma Cardz challenge and I will also be announcing the lucky winner of my mini candy but until then have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Wow I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s definitely worth entering our challenge this week!!

This week's challenge theme is ‘birthdays & celebrations’ and if you add a number 2 you’ll get a second entry!!  However dozy head actually forgot this bit of the challenge on her card, as you will see lol!  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #1 - birthday & celebrations

charisma cardz #1 - birthday & celebrations (close up)

I actually made this for my great-aunt who celebrated her 99th birthday on Monday, such an achievement isn’t it.  She is remarkably well for her age and even lives alone without any care.  The only help she has is that my mother does her shopping for her and my father calls over most days for a chat!!  I would usually have personalised my card with her name and age properly but my printer decided to go on the fritz just when I needed it – typical!!

As an extra bonus I am also offering some personal candy and will draw a winner from everyone who leaves a comment on this post.  Want to know what you can win?  I have a Simply Sassy image from Sugar Nellie called ‘Bella bunting’ up for grabs.  They are so adorable and a dream to colour.

The next journey on the blog hop is Julia.  I hope you enjoy visiting all our blogs and will find the time to enter into our challenge this week.  Oh and in case you hadn’t realised the word you need to collect from my blog is CHALLENGE!!!!

Passion for promarkers #81 – DT card

Good morning everyone, sadly it’s back to reality for most people today isn’t it, although my boys don’t go back to school until tomorrow!  Why do schools insist on adding INSET days onto holidays that are already too long?  Luckily for me I have booked this week as annual leave so I don’t have to go to work woohoo!  I am going shopping with my mother today, which I haven’t done for so long, so I’m really looking forward to it.

I’m sure you didn’t come here to hear me rambling on but instead wanted to see my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge (or at least I hope you do lol!).  This week design team 1 are back so that means that Caryn has set the challenge this week and her theme is “thank you cards”, but you must include a thank you sentiment of some sort on your cards.  Don’t forget to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your promarkers or aqua markers.

Here is my thank you card:

PFP challenge 81 - thank you

I have used a much neglected stamp by Wild Rose Studio called ‘Milton with flowers’ but I think it is so useful for thank you and thinking of you cards.  Milton is such a cute little bear isn’t he.  I did buy Christmas Milton stamps but forgot to use them d’oh!!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and the lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Cupcake craft challenge #123 – DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY STAMP WITH FUN DT CARD

Hello I’m back again to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Catherine La Chic has set our theme and she has chosen ‘white is white’, you may use other colours but your card must be predominately white.  I actually haven’t made many all white cards but I really like the look of them when other people make them.  I decided to emboss a grid pattern on the background with my MS scoreboard (although it’s difficult to tell in my usual dodgy picture) and used a cuttlebug embossing folder (script) for the smaller panel.  I did manage to make an all white card (apart from the image of course) although I lightly inked the edges of my card with a chalk ink pad.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 123 - white is white

CCC challenge 123 - white is white (close up)

I have used my brand new sugar nellie stamp from the simply sassy range called ‘luv a latte’.  I have ordered a few more as they are gorgeous and so lovely to colour.  I’m sure you’ll see more of these images very soon.

Our sponsor this week is the very generous Simon Says Stamp and the lucky winner will receive a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  Not only that but they are offering free shipping too!!

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Starting this month we will be having a monthly prize called ‘icing on the cupcake’ and this is just a second chance to win a prize.  This month we are sponsored by our very own Jelly i.e. Victoria and she is offering a brilliant Stampin’ Up prize (a selection of 12x12 Stampin’ Up! papers, a pack of basic rhinestones, a Sale-A-Bration Brochure and a Stampin’ Up! Techniques Booklet).  You don’t need to do anything, apart from enter a challenge of course, and one lucky random winner will be chosen at the end of the month.

Onto today’s post and I’m sharing my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  We have a lovely sketch by Saphira to work with this week so I hope you can play along with us.  Here is my card:

I was lucky enough to win a challenge over at Quirky Crafts challenge a few weeks ago and my prize was a guest designer spot and I’m here to share my card with you.  The challenge is ‘new beginnings’ and will run for the next two weeks.  I decided to make a calendar as it is the beginning of a new year:
