Simple engagement card

A friend in work recently ordered an engagement card for her friends and this is what I came up with. I decided to try and make something a little different and it actually turned out rather plain and simple. I quite like it but it's not my usual style as you've probably noticed I love my dp and I tried to make a card without any lol! Anyway I used bazzill bling cs, plain cs from the papermill shop and white card from my stash (which I ran through the CB with the dots embossing folder). The sentiment was created on the pc and edged with stickles to make it stand out a little. The hearts were punched with an x-cut paper punch and the adhesive stones are PM. I looks better IRL as the bazzill bling really glared in the photo due to the flash. It didn't look so harsh in reality. Hope you like, thanks for stopping by.

With sympathy

I've had to make a few sympathy cards for work this week and this is one of them. I stamped the elzybells image and lightly coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I again used my fiskars scissors to cut the decorative edge on the cs. The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is by stamps away. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamping bella sketch challenge #74

This is my entry for this week's bella sketch challenge. I really enjoyed using this sketch and will keep it on file for future use. I was asked to make this card by a colleague at work and thankfully she loved it. I stamped the cupcake-a-bella image and coloured her with my pro-markers adding stickles to the cupcake for extra bling. The dp was a freebie download that I've had in my stash for quite a while (I think maybe from Mad About Cards but not 100% sure). The plain cs is from the papermill shop, except for the brown cs which is bazzill bling, and the button and adhesive stones are PM. I used my fiskars scalloped scissors for the decorative edge and the sentiment was created on the pc. Thanks for stopping by.

Colour Create #9

This is my entry for this week's Colour Create, which is 'lilac and blue'. I made this card for my children to give to their gran for her birthday today (they call her mam!). Now I did read the optional extras for this week's challenge (ribbons and swirls) but when I made the card I completely forgot all about them, never mind I really like the finished card. I used another miss anya stamp by the greeting farm (available from dies to die for) and coloured her with my pro-markers. The dp has been in my stash for ages (and it didn't have a makers name on it). The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the sentiment was created on the pc. I cut the scalloped edge on the cs with a pair of fiskars decorative scissors. The flowers and brads are from my stash and the white dots were done with a white gel pen. Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding card..... and a happy birthday!

This is a card that I made for an order in work. I stamped the stampendous image and coloured it with my pro-markers, adding highlights with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is PM from the scrumptious paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The hearts were punched out with an x-cut punch and the sentiment was created on the pc. The adhesive stones are also PM.

I would also like to wish my mother a very happy birthday today (love you lots Mammy) and hope she has a lovely evening with my dad. Mwah Mwah!! Thanks for stopping by

ABC challenge - H is for Hearts

This is my entry for this week's ABC challenge "H is for Hearts". I stamped the SU image (that I bought from ebay ages ago and not sure what it's called) and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp was the last piece and I forgot to check who it was by before I stuck it down (d'oh!). The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive dots are from QVC. I also added some stickles to my image. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Sally-Ann

Oh my goodness my blog candy goodies arrived from Sally-Ann yesterday and I was blown away but how much there is. Now I did cheat and I borrowed the photo from Sally-Ann's blog (thank you) as I definitely wouldn't have been able to do it justice if I had taken a photo. I don't know what to use first, there is so much. It was even deliciously wrapped in pink tissue paper. I have a busy weekend planned as I have lots of cards to make for orders so I will definitely be reaching for this to make some of them.

I also heard yesterday that I won the blog candy on Tracy's blog (ella bella), which was 2 downloads by Tinker & Co. I am so chuffed. I haven't had them yet but am excited to see what they are. I think I must have kissed the blarney stone or picked up a 4 leafed clover as I have been so lucky lately (not knocking it at all though). I am going to be doing some candy of my own soon (need to do some shopping first though so won't be straight away) to celebrate my CCC Designer status and also winning so many candies from everyone else. I will of course give you plenty of notice. Thanks for stopping by.
