Motorbike card

A friend at work asked me to make her a card to give to her husband who loves motorbikes. This was a bit of a problem as I don't have any stamps relating to motorbikes. However I googled bikes and printed out a pic which I thought was suitable. I cut out the image and raised it up on foam pads. I used dp from a papermania paper pack called For Him and papermania sticky ribbon to cover the join. I used my pc for the wording and the 3 brads and adhesive stones are also by papermania. Thanks for looking.

Happy 15th Anniversary

This is a card that I made for my DH (dear husband) for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, which was last Thursday 3rd July. I stamped 3 Daisy Bucket Design hearts and cut them out. I used my pc for the sentiment at the top and the stamped sentiment (which I thought was most appropriate) is by Stamps Away. The red music dp was a small scrap that I had left so not sure who it's by. The black cs is from the papermill shop. I used DCWV adhesive ribbon and adhesive stones by papermania.
I had to show you the wonderful flowers that my DH bought me for our anniversary. Aren't they gorgeous. I'm so lucky to have him ;) Thanks for looking.

Penny Black & Friday Sketchers challenge

Another combined challenge!! The penny black challenge this week was pink, green & brown and obviously the Friday Sketchers was to follow a sketch (d'oh). I stamped the penny black flower chicky image and watercoloured with marvy markers. The flower dp is me & my BIG ideas, crackle dp is from a stack from QVC, plain green cs is from the papermill shop. Small piece of brown cs is bazill. Rub-on (which is a bit difficult to see) is by Pebbles Inc. Flowers are from my stash. Gem brads and adhesive stones are by papermania. I'm not that happy with this card as I stuck the small pieces of dp down in the wrong order and it looks a bit "off" but hey we have to show the bad as well as the good don't we? Thanks for looking.

CCT Challenge - nothing like last minute!

I'm typing this at 8.16am Thursday morning so I hope it will still count for this week's CCT challenge which was No Patterned Paper. I repeatedly stamped the Anita's stamp with blue stazon onto white card and filled in the spaces with a 3 dot stamp by elusive images using a white versacolor cube. I used a small piece of brown bazill cs at the top. The image and present sentiment is by CC designs and the happy birthday stamp is by elusive images. I watercoloured the image with my trusty marvy markers and highlighted the bows on the presents with my sakura clear stardust pen. Apologies for the poor photo but I took it in a rush this morning to get it on the blog. Thanks for looking.

OCCC & Papertake Challenge

Due to time constraints (see previous post) I have had to try and combine as many challenges as I can this week. Our Creative Corner Challenge this week was to use Basic Grey Paper and the Papertake Challenge was to make a thank you card. I stamped the three flowers (woodware) and watercoloured with marvy markers and highlighted areas with my sakura stardust pen. The basic grey dp was blush and two scoops and I used plain red cs from the papermill shop. The image is Hero Arts which I stamped with brown stazon for a more vintage look to compliment the gorgeous papers. Thanks for looking.

Normal service will be resumed soon (I hope)

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days but my mother was admitted to hospital last night (we were in A & E until 2.30AM). She has been suffering with abdo pain for about a year now but lately it's been getting much worse culminating in almost unbearable pain last evening. The doctors think she may have gall stones but she has to wait to have an ultrasound scan before they can definitely diagnose her. She was supposed to have the scan today but unfortunately (and after not eating anything all day) they were unable to perform it today and she will hopefully, fingers crossed, have it tomorrow. If it is gall stones she will probably have to come home and take a course of anti-biotics before they can do any surgery.

Please bear with me as although she is well it is still a worrying time until we know exactly what is going on. Thanks for visiting me today.
