Cupcake craft challenge #113 – DT card

Hello again, I promised you I would be back didn’t I!  I’m sharing my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week’s theme has been set by the lovely Shelly and she has chosen “boys and their toys”, so we want to see lots of cars, bikes etc this week.  I have chosen a fun image by Mo Manning to use on my card (and will stash it away until my son’s birthday in November as it is him down to a T!).  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 113 - boys and their toys

CCC challenge 113 - boys and their toys (close up)

The only thing I don’t like about this card is the rub-on I used looks really crappy in the photos – although it doesn’t look so bad IRL.  The image is so fantastic and as I mentioned this is how my son looks pretty much all of the time :)

Our sponsor this week is the ribbon girl and the lucky winner will receive a ribbon bundle (more details on the challenge blog).

Don’t forget we also have our cupcake madness draw.  For this month we have Lili of the Valley as our sponsor and one lucky winner will receive 3 stamps of their choice.  To be in with a chance of winning you must enter at least 2 of our challenges during October – easy right?

Marcea’s “music saves my soul” #5

Good morning everyone, it’s Saturday and its sunny *double yay*.  I hope you are all enjoying the start of the weekend so far.

music

I have been debating all week what song to share with you this week for Marcea’s “music saves my soul” (which shockingly is already on week 5!!) but I was in the car last night and the song I have chosen came on the radio and I remembered how much I love it so my decision was made for me lol!  It’s another blast from the past (my favourite era the 80’s) and it’s the communards – ‘don’t leave me this way’.

Turn up the volume now and get dancing around your living room/kitchen/bedroom (wherever you happen to be lol!).

I hope you enjoy my choice this week and I can’t wait to see what everyone else shares too.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Charisma cardz challenge #41 – DT card

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a great week so far.  I can’t believe it is Thursday already – another week nearly done!!  I’m here to share with you my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge.  Our theme this week has been set by Joanne and she has chosen “more than one fold”.  Now these sort of challenges fill me with dread as I tend to stick to making cards most of the time.  However I have fulfilled the challenge and still made a card – so I’m extra happy :)  You will also be shocked to learn that no promarkers were harmed in the making of my card (I know don’t faint!!).  Here is my card:

charisma challenge #41 - more than one fold In this photo I’ve tried to show you the dimension of my “bauble” charisma challenge #41 - more than one fold (close up 2)

For my “folds” I decided to make a 3D Christmas “bauble” using my scalloped nesties but then as a co-incidence I saw a brilliant tutorial by Kylie on the WOJ tutorial blog showing you how to incorporate one into your card so I decided to have a go at that instead.  Check out the tutorial as its really easy to understand with lots of pics and instructions.

We have two sponsors of our challenge this week.  Our first sponsor is Cutting Cafe and the lucky winner will be able to choose 3 digi sets of their choice.  They have tons of gorgeous sets so you will be spoilt for choice.

Our second sponsor is Donna from Donna’s den of crafts and even though her shop has now closed she has kindly agreed to sponsor us for one last time!

Here is what the winner will receive:imageThe DT have created some amazing 3D work this week and every one of their projects is so different.  Please pop over and take a look.  We appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.  I also want to apologise as I didn’t manage to get around to commenting on all my entries last week (my shoulder and neck were playing up at the beginning of the week so I tried to limit the amount of time I was on the computer).  I promise I will do better this week :)

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Anything goes challenge – ribbons

Crafty cardmakers challenge – fancy folds

Scrap creations challenge – make it 3D

Passion for promarkers #73 – DT project

Good morning lovely crafters, I’m here to share with you my DT project for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week’s challenge has been set by the lovely Andie and she has given us a colour scheme to work with - ‘black, orange, green and purple’ with the option of halloween.  You don’t have to make a halloween card/project but the colours do scream halloween don’t they?  The only rule is that you have to use your promarkers or aqua markers to be in with a chance at our prize.

For my project this week I decided to decorate a plain gift bag as a ‘trick or treat’ bag.  Here it is:

CCC challenge 112 - cute scary creatures (close up)I decided to have a go at using my nestabilities labels 8 to make the base of my card as I’ve seen it done on other blogs and I really liked the look of it.  I’m really happy with the finished result and although it’s a smaller space than what I’m used to I will definitely be making more of these I think :)

Our sponsor this week is soft pencil and the lucky winner will receive a $20.00 voucher to spend in their online store.
