Passion for promarkers #37 – DT card

PFP challenge 37 - all creatures great and small

PFP challenge 37 - all creatures great and small (close up)

This week’s challenge over at passion for promarkers has been chosen by the lovely Sarah and she has asked for ‘all creatures great and small’, so grab your animal/insect images and get creating!  You can use any colour promarkers as long as you use the theme.

For my card I used a yet to be released image from the greeting farm called ‘Oliver’ from the Oliver & Amelia ‘Happy Days’ stamp set.  This set is due for release on March 1st and I for one will be in the queue to get it!!  I was lucky enough to receive this image as a RAK from Tracy from Dies to Die For.  The papers are all BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain brown card is SU (chocolate chip).  The buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is penny black.  I used my rectangle nesties to cut out the image.  The promarkers I used for my card are:

3 dinosaurs – walnut, umber, marsh green and pear green

Clothes and shoes – cornflower, amber, almond, caramel

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Hair – tan, caramel and cinnamon

Outline and shading – ice grey 1 (although I originally did it with almond but didn’t like it, so went over it with the ice grey 1 lol!).

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.

CCC challenge 76 - four legged and furry

CCC challenge 76 - four legged and furry (close up)

Our theme over at cupcake craft challenge this week has been chosen by the lovely Shelly and her theme is ‘four legged and furry’ (in other words a furry animal lol). For my card I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Valentine George’ and I coloured him with my promarkers (the valentine characters are currently on ‘offer of the month’ at DSB). The paper is by pebbles inc and the plain card is SU. I used my circle nesties to cut out the image and my new MS lace scallop heart punch to cut out the hearts (I added a piece of pink card behind them). I used my MS valentine lace border punch for the decorative edge and ribbon is from fantastic ribbons. The sentiment is SU from the ‘Mr & Mrs’ stamp set and cut it out with my SU oval punches. The adhesive stones are PM and the butterfly is another MS punch (glassene butterfly)!! I know it’s a busy card but I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive $20.00 voucher + free shipping (wish I could enter lol).

The rest of the DT have created some super cute samples so please check them out if you have the time.

Stamp with fun #44 – DT card

 von andrea-emmi41

SWF #44 - sketch

SWF #44 - sketch (close up)

Hello and welcome to Monday, which means a new challenge over at stamp with fun.  This week Andrea (Emmi41) has given us a lovely sketch to use, which I rotated to fit my image.  For my card I used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Shelly turtle and flowers’ and coloured her (very brightly) with my promarkers.  This digi image along with 4 others is currently the offer of the month over at DSB so why not pop over and take a look.  The papers are doodlebug and the brown card and ribbon are SU (chocolate chip).  The brown flowers are imaginisce and the orange flowers were cut with my ek success medium retro flower punch.  The sentiment is a stamp by hero arts and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.  The buttons are from my stash.  I used my circle nesties to cut out the circle and scallop circle shapes and a white gel pen for the faux stitching.  I don’t know why I went for such a bright colour scheme and the card didn’t turn out as I planned but I quite like the final result.  The rest of the DT have made some amazing cards, so check them out if you have chance.

I’m also entering my card into the following challenges:

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – freestyle

Creative card crew challenge – punch it

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – use any digi image or sentiment

Cute card Thursday challenge – blooming gorgeous

Creative inspirations challenge – feminine

Dutch dare challenge – summer in winter (bright colours)

Humble pie stamps challenge – flowery - use at least 5 flowers (2 punched flowers and 4 on image)

I hope you’ll pop back later to see my cupcake craft challenge card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Just Cute Bears #2 & Die cut dreams #32

wedding card (7)

I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday – doesn’t the weekend just whizz by too fast!  I have a card to show you today which fits the challenges over at just cute bears challenge, which is ‘congratulations’ and die cut dreams challenge which is ‘bears’.  I used a FF image and coloured it with my promarkers and I added some stickles to their wines glasses and the brides head-dress.  The gorgeous shimmery patterned card is DCWV from the luxury stack and the plain card is also DCWV from the metallic stack.  The flower was cut with the three sizes of ek success retro flower punch and the leaves were cut with my L’em branch punch.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  There is also a piece of white tulle ribbon but its so sheer its difficult to see in the picture.  Don’t forget to pop back tomorrow to see my DT card for stamp with fun and cupcake craft challenge.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Nearly the weekend!!

b'day card (27)

b'day card (27) close up

Here is a card I made a little while ago that I didn’t get a chance to post.  Luckily for me it now fits in with a few challenges around at the moment :)  I used a gorgeous sugar nellie image called ‘catch a butterfly’ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The paper is DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my circle nesties.  The adhesive pearls are BG and the ribbon is SU.  Not too much going on but I liked the simplicity of the layout.  This card fits in with the following challenges:

Creative inspirations – feminine

Quixotic challenge – flutter-by

Cute card Thursday challenge – blooming gorgeous

Dutch dare challenge – summer in winter

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – freestyle

I hope you are having a good week, thank goodness it’s Friday tomorrow.  It’s been such a busy and stressful time in work lately that I’m wishing my life away so that the weekends to come around!  Hopefully things will improve soon (fingers crossed).  Thanks for stopping by.

Susie’s sassy challenge #7 – DT card

SSC #7 - red, white & blue

SSC #7 - red, white & blue (close up)

Wow I can’t believe how fast the week’s are flying by- we’re already on challenge 7 of Susie’s sassy challenge.  This week’s challenge has been chosen by yours truly and the theme is ‘red, white and blue’.  I don’t really know why I chose this as my theme but as it was my brother-in-law’s birthday yesterday I decided to combine the two.  I used a fun digi image from charmed crafts called ‘policeman George’ from the ‘George at work’ set as my BIL is a policeman!  I used my promarkers to colour him in and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The gingham paper is from my stash (no name) and the plain card is from the papermill shop (the background card is a navy blue, although it looks black in the picture).  I used my diamond plate embossing folder in the CB on the red card and cut out the stars with my quickutz cookie cutter.  The white card, ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

The prize for this challenge is a Guest Designer spot for challenge #9 that starts on the 25th of February, so definitely worth having a go!!  Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all stunning once again.  I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.

I’m also entering my card into the following challenges:

A spoonfull of sugar challenge – freestyle

Digital Tuesday challenge – make those men laugh

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – use any digi image or sentiment

Daring cardmakers challenge – what’s the point

Dare you to digi stamp challenge – buttons

I hope you all have a good day.  Thanks for stopping by.
