Passion for promarkers #95–DT card

Hello dear friends, it’s another late post I’m afraid.  This time it’s for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  The theme this week has been set by Michele and she has chosen a subject very dear to her own heart “make your own embellishments”.  Here is my card:

Another very clean and simple card for me with not very much in the way of embellishments at all really but I did make my rolled flower!  The image is by Lili of the Valley.  You know when you have an idea in your head and it doesn’t quite turn out the way you planned?  Well this card ended up like that.  I really liked the sketch over at clean and simple Sunday challenge and really wanted to use it but I’m not really that pleased with the finished result – not sure why though cos I like the individual components I used lol!  Anyway let me know what you think – good or bad!

Cupcake craft challenge #137–DT card

I’m back again as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  As I am very late with my post I will try and keep this short and sweet!  The challenge this week has been set by our boss lady Fluffy (Faye) and she has chosen “doctors and nurses” so we want to see all your get well cards.  Here is my card:

I have used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called “nurse Grace” and coloured her with promarkers.  The background has been embossed and I again went for a monochromatic look (not intentionally though)!

Stamp with fun #106–DT card

Hello everyone, I’m really sorry that my posts are a bit erratic at the moment, but unfortunately real life is getting in the way lol!  I have had my appointment in the hospital and the doctor that I saw did a very thorough examination and thinks I am suffering from an inner ear problem which is causing vertigo.  He has started me on a two week course of tablets and will review me again in 3 weeks, if there is still no improvement he will perform a scan so fingers crossed everything will be ok after two weeks of medication!  My father is STILL in hospital and it looks like it could be until the end of this week at the earliest before he is allowed home.  He is recovering well in regards to his operation but they cannot stabilise his warfarin levels so cannot come home until they do grrrrr!! 

Anyway enough of my ramblings, let’s get onto the real reason you are here – to see a card haha!  Over at the stamp with fun challenge this week we have a lovely easy sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 for you to use:

I was obviously feeling in a green mood when I made this as it is very green lol!  Isn’t the image just super sweet?  Her name is ‘Olivia’ and she is from DigiStamp Boutique but the image will not be available until May.  However you have a chance to win this image, along with a £5.00 gift voucher to the store just by leaving a comment here.  This will be just one of the new releases in the store in May, so I cannot wait to see all the others.

Passion for promarkers #94–DT card

Hello dear friends, I’m sorry I wasn’t around yesterday but I spent most of last night in bed as I felt so wobbly!!  I really thought if I didn’t lie down I was going to fall down but thankfully I feel a little better today.  I have a hospital appointment on Monday so perhaps I can get some answers then – fingers crossed.  Thanks for the best wishes you’ve left for my dad.  He is improving (slowly) but had to have a blood transfusion today but hopefully that will give him a little boost now!  Once he starts to get up and moving they should let him come home. 

I am here to share with you my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and the theme this week has been set by Maya and she has chosen “yellow & pink”.  I love this colour combo as it’s so fresh and girly.  I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘music Lucy’ and there are 3 images in this particular set, each one as equally cute as this one.  Here is my card:

 

I used a gorgeous square doily that I won in a recent candy and embossed the background card and left the layout really simple.  The flowers were created using my new Joy crafts flower die cutter which I’m sure you will be seeing lots of!!

Hello again, told you I wouldn’t be gone long lol!  I’m back to share with you my project for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  The theme has been set by the lovely Donna and she has chosen “comedy rocks” so we want to see all your funny images and/or sentiments this week.  I used a bugaboo image and sentiment that I recently won over at their challenge as I think all their images are just so funny!  Here is my card:

The image is called ‘JJ tequila & shoes – drinks well with others’ and the sentiment comes with the image.  I am going to save this for my friend’s birthday in work as it will really tickle her funny bone lol!  I coloured the image with promarkers but made a slight boo-boo at the side of her hair so my sentiment is strategically placed haha!

Stamp with fun #105–DT project

Hello dear friends, I’m sorry my posts are so late today but I had such a lovely but hectic day yesterday that I was too exhausted to schedule my posts last night.  I also had to go and visit my dad in hospital after work (he’s had a hip replacement) so now is the first chance I’ve had to do them!  My first post is for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a very easy theme for you “Easter” so get ahead of the game and make all your cards and projects in plenty of time!  I have a little story for you lol!  My husband buys fresh free range eggs from a friend in work and they come in the usual boring egg boxes but imagine my surprise when he brought home two girly pink egg boxes last weekend – well the idea to decorate them was immediate and just in time for me to make my DT project.  I didn’t go overboard with the decorating as the colour was too gorgeous to cover up too much but this is what I made (I’ve gone a bit mad with the photo’s sorry):

Isn’t it just soooooo cute!!!  I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Easter bunny girl’ and is part of the “Easter Collection” which is one of the offers of the month for April.  There are 8 eight images in total. Four main images - all with a girl (added bow) and boy version and they are so sweet.  I’m definitely using them for all my Easter cards this year, so look out for more samples soon.  I have to say I am really pleased with how my bow came out – usually I struggle with bows but it worked out perfectly this time!  Some embossed panels and wild orchid crafts flowers and voila it was done.  I just need to get some yummy cadbury creme eggs or something similar and it will be a perfect Easter surprise for someone.
