Krafty Chicks challenge #844 - ATG with a twist

Good morning lovely friends; I hope your week is going well so far. I'm sharing my card for the new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 5; and as it's an extra week this month we have an anything goes theme and Lori is our hostess. However we are mixing it up this year and adding an optional twist and the twist this time is 'coffee' so we would love to see all your coffee inspired creations.  Such a fun twist and we hope you will come over and join in the fun with us.
I recently picked up this stamp & die set and it was perfect for this theme.  I also needed a card for a friend's birthday so it worked out for that too.  I made my card 5" x 7" as it was for a special friend and used a new to me stencil too.  I think it turned out super cute and I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 5" x 7" and used the coffee bean stencil and a warm cocoa ink pad to create my background.  I cut the panel down using the stitched rectangle from master layouts 08 and the plain rectangle die to cut a black mat layer and adhered them both together using liquid glue.  I stamped the image onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with my Promarkers and added some white highlights.  I used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I cut a circle from vellum and added the image onto it using foam squares.  I then added the circle onto the background using liquid glue. I stamped the two sentiments onto white card using black ink and die cut them out with stitched fishtail banner dies; I also blended the warm cocoa ink over both of them so that they would match the background.  I added both sentiments with liquid glue.  I finished off with a few pearls and adhered the panel onto my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel and black panel as before and adhered them together using liquid glue.  I used a scrap piece of white card and using the coffee bean stencil and the warm cocoa ink.  I die cut it using the stitched rectangle and added it to the bottom of the white panel.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre using black ink and adhered the panel to my card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

First Cup challenge - ATG with a hot or cold beverage
Little Red Wagon challenge - s is for stencil
Seize the Birthday challenge - geometric or word die/s (I've not used the topping this time)

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'ATG with a optional twist of coffee' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky. Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - Leanne, Diane and Lori.

Card Clubhouse IG Hop - Week 22 - Thrills & Chills

Hello lovely friends; I'm here to share my card for the Card Clubhouse IG hop organised by my sweet friend Kelly. We are on Week 22 and our theme is 'Thrills & Chills' so we want to see all your Halloween/spooky creations. This is going to be a great hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I recently picked up a few things in the 'end of an era' sale over at Time for Tea Designs (sad to see another craft store close) and one of them was this fun haunted house.  I did some ink blending and spatter and I love how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
Plus a closer look at the house:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and ink blended over the whole panel using plum punch ink; I also darkened the edges with black ink for a bit more drama and added some white spatters. At this point I decided to add a black mat layer so trimmed my blended panel down to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and adhered them together using liquid glue.  I found a strip of script patterned paper so blended some black ink all over and tore one of the edges, again adding some white spatters.  I adhered that over the blended panel using double sided tape.  I stamped the image onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured it with my Promarkers and added some white gelly roll highlights.  I don't have the dies so I fussy cut it out.  I added foam squares behind the image and added it onto the background, more towards the top.  I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment onto black card and used a stitched banner die to cut it out.  I added this below the house, again using foam squares.  The panel was adhered to my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another white panel and black mat layer.  I ink blended a border along the bottom of the white panel and again added white spatters.  Once dry I adhered the panels together using liquid glue.  I found a black bat left over from a previous project so added that to the bottom right corner using liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre using black ink and then adhered the panel to my card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cardz 4 Guyz challenge - use at least 3 of purple, green, orange & black
Crafty Gals Corner challenge - ATG optional twist trick or treat

Critter Crazy Challenge - Guest Designer Oct 26

Hello friends; it's a busy day on my blog today and my first card for you is my card as GDT for the Critter Crazy challenge . I was lucky enough to win one of their recent challenges and was honoured to be asked to be a guest designer for them. The challenge is always 'ATG' but you must include an animal on your project.
Please grab our Blog Badge
I got this stamp set a little while ago but I hadn't used it so I thought it would be a fun one for this challenge.  I coloured the images with Promarkers and stencilled a paw print background.  I think it turned out super cute and I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a light brown panel 4" x 5 1/4" and used the paw print stencil and some dark chocolate ink and created my background.  I also inked around the edges using the same ink pad and added some white spatters.  I stamped the images onto alcohol marker friendly card, coloured them with Promarkers and added some white highlights with a gelly roll pen.  I don't have the dies so I fussy cut them out.  I found a small piece of beige checked paper and cut that to 2 3/4" x 3" and again darkened up the edges with the brown ink.  I used a scallop border die to cut a piece of white card and added that to the edge of the paper using liquid glue, once again lightly inking the edges.  I also tied some red and white twine around the panel and tied it in a bow.  I added foam squares behind the paper panel and added that onto the background at a slight angle.  I added the dog and balloon with foam squares.  I stamped the sentiment onto the light brown card using black ink and used a circle die to cut it out.  I added foam squares to the back and tucked it under the paper panel. I also die cut a tiny paw print from the light brown card and added that above the dog using liquid glue.  The panel was then adhered to my card base using double sided tape.  For the inside I cut a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I cut a scallop piece from the light brown card and adhered that behind a piece of the left over stencilled background using liquid glue.  I adhered this to the bottom of the panel using liquid glue.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the bone present image and added that in the bottom left corner using liquid glue.  The panel was then adhered to the card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Place to Start challenge - ATG optional twist: relates to a song (hound dog by Elvis Presley)
Classic Design challenge - ATG optional twist: autumn colours
Crafty Animals challenge - ATG must include an animal

Krafty Chicks challenge #831 - ATG with a twist

Good morning lovely friends; I hope your week is going well so far. I'm sharing my card for the new challenge over at Krafty Chicks challenge and this week we are on Week 5; and as it's an extra week this month we have an anything goes theme and Diane is our hostess. However we are mixing it up this year and adding an optional twist and the twist this time is 'mood board' and we have a beautiful summery board to inspire you.  Such a fun twist and we hope you will come over and join in the fun with us.
Here is the gorgeous mood board image:
My eye was immediately drawn to the water melon image and luckily for me I had just purchased a fun fruity stamp set from Time For Tea Designs in their recent sale so it was shown some love right away!  I created my own 'patterned paper' using the stamps and I think it turned out super cute.  I hope you like it too.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the cute image:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by cutting a white panel 4" x 5 1/4" and created my background using the single melon slice stamp; I also stamped the bunny with the melon slice and coloured them all with my Promarkers.  I used the coordinating die to cut out the bunny image (along with 3 more from plain white) and added white highlights with a gelly roll pen.  I stamped the sentiment using black ink on white card and also die cut another 3 from plain white card and stacked them using liquid glue.  I decided to cut out the background using this fun wavy edges die and also cut a mat layer from black card using the next size up; I adhered the layers together with double sided tape.  I used the same wavy edge die set and cut a smaller one from vellum to use as a grounding layer for my image and sentiment (as the background was super busy).  I decided I needed another layer of vellum to give some separation.  I added the bunny and sentiment onto the vellum using liquid glue and added the two layers of vellum together using double sided tape.  This was then adhered to the background panel using liquid glue. The panel was added to my card base using double sided tape.  I didn't add any embellishments as the background was busy enough already.  For the inside I cut another white layer and black layer using the wavy edge dies.  I had a tiny piece of the background left over so cut a strip for the bottom again using the wavy edge die and adhered all the layers together using liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre using black ink (I did some masking so that I could slightly change the sentiment).  I stamped, coloured and die cut one more melon slice and added that to the top right corner using liquid glue.  The panel was then adhered to the card base using double sided tape.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Double D challenge - favourite fruit
Dream Valley challenge - hand coloured image
Farm Quest Grocery Game challenge - anything food or drink related
Little Red Wagon challenge - one thing (1 image, 1 sentiment, 1 panel of handmade paper)

I hope you will be able to join us for our 'ATG with a optional twist of mood board' challenge and I cannot wait to see your creations in our linky. Please leave some love for my fellow chicks - Leanne, Diane and Lori.

Card Clubhouse IG Hop - Week 3 - Unexpected Valentine

Good morning friends; I'm back to share my card for the new Card Clubhouse IG hop organised by my lovely friend Kelly. We are on Week 3 and our theme is 'unexpected Valentine'. This could mean using unusual/bizarre colours, making a card for someone you wouldn't normally such as your boss/pet or even using an image not normally associated with Valentine; whatever it is we can't wait to see it. There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
I decided to make a loved themed card for my bff using colours I wouldn't normally use for a Valentine/Galentine's card.  I went with shades of blue for something different.  The card is really shimmery in real life as I spritzed my card with a perfect pearls & water mixture before die-cutting my leafery.  I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the die cuts:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I decided to make a square card for a change so cut my card 11" x 5 1/2" and scored on the long side at 5 1/2".  I cut a white panel 5" square and using a dark blue ink lightly ink blended around the edges leaving the centre white.  I die cut a large heart from navy card and a smaller heart from white card x 4 times so that I could layer it up using liquid glue.  I ink blended some dark blue and light blue ink onto a scrap of white card, spritzed it with a perfect pearls and water mixture and also added some white gouache spatter.  Once dry I die cut my leafery and also die cut some extras from white card.  I stamped the sentiment onto the smaller heart using navy ink and then adhered the hearts together with liquid glue.  I placed the heart into the centre of my blended panel with liquid glue.  I added the white leaf die cuts with liquid glue around the outside of the heart and then adhered the ink blended leaves with foam squares.  I die cut some tiny hearts from the leftover ink blended pieces and added them with liquid glue.  I added some scrap white card behind the panel for some dimension and adhered it to my card base with double sided tape.  For the inside I cut another 5" square panel from white card and ink blended around the outside.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre with navy ink and added one of the leaf die cuts to the bottom left corner with liquid glue (I actually took half of the dark blended and half of the light blended leaf and stuck them together).   I also added a few hearts around the leafery.  I added the panel to the card base with double sided tape.  I love this colour combo and I think the card turned out really pretty.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments challenge - dies and/or love, anniversary, wedding + sentiment
The Paper Funday challenge - ATG optional twist pastel colours

I hope you will pop over to Instagram and check out the hop; please use the hashtag #cardclubhousehop2026 to see all the gorgeous creations and also if you want to participate we will be able to find you.

Card Clubhouse IG Hop - Week 2 goals/dreams

Good morning friends; I'm back to share my card for the new Card Clubhouse IG hop organised by my lovely friend Kelly. We are on Week 2 and our theme is 'plans/goals for 2026' maybe you want to start working out, reading more or just want to craft more; we want to see your interpretation in card form lol!  There are going to be so many awesome creations along the hop this week and I can't wait to see what sparks your imagination.
One of my goals this year is to actually send out the cards I make; sounds easy doesn't it?  I was useless last year and sent out hardly any cards so that is what I am determined to improve this year. I have already sent one card out this year so I'm feeling positive!  I recently purchased this super cute die set which is a mail box with a gift card holder inside and I thought this would be perfect to represent me posting all my cards.  I hope you love it as much as I do.
Here is my fun shaped card:
A side view to show the dimension:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by die cutting two of the main panels from red card which I used to make my card base (I scored the top of one of the panels about 3/4" in and then glued them together just along that small 3/4" strip ).  I cut the smaller layer panel from pink gingham paper and added that to the front of my card with liquid glue.  If you want the smaller panel actually opens and you can place a gift card inside, however I decided not to do that this time.   I added some scrap card behind the smaller layer and added them onto the card with double sided tape.  I did die cut the handle and the piece that would usually keep the front panel closed but it is just for decoration only.  I adhered both of these pieces with liquid glue.  I die cut lots of the elements from red, pink, white, black card and gingham paper and assembled them all using liquid glue.  I adhered the happy mail die cuts to the front of the card using liquid glue and then arranged the other elements at the top and bottom of the panel using a mix of liquid glue and foam squares.  I finished off with some black pearls.  For the inside I cut the smaller panel from white card and stamped the sentiment in the centre with black ink.  I also added one of the die cuts in the bottom right corner with liquid glue.  I actually added it to the back of the card base before I scored it and it did crack a little but it's not too bad.  I'm really happy with this fun shaped card and it could be used for so many occasions.  It could be turned into a chalk board for back to school or make it look like an A-frame sign that you would find outside a coffee shop etc.

I would like to enter my shaped card into the following challenges:

Craft Rocket challenge - something new (my die set is new)
Love Those Pretty Papers challenge - ATG must use patterned paper optional theme snowman
Make My Monday challenge - use paper with pattern
Paper Rocks Scissors challenge - use paper or scissors (I used gingham paper)
