Isn't is such a pretty mood board; it's so soft and dreamy. I was immediately drawn to the books and flowers as I knew I had a book stamp in my stash somewhere lol! I tried to use as many of the colours as I could and went for a soft, vintage style and even stamped in brown ink so that it wouldn't be as harsh as black. I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the image:
I decorated the inside, as always:
I began by partially stamping the book image by masking the part I wanted (it was quite large and I didn't need all of it) in brown ink onto alcohol marker friendly card. I also made a mask for the image so that I could ink blend around it and also stamp the flowers coming out from behind the books. Once all the stamping was done, I removed the mask and coloured everything with my Promarkers, adding some white gelly roll pen highlights. I trimmed the panel to 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" as I stamped the image a little off centre. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of white card using the same brown ink and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered it below the image with foam squares. I added 3 pieces of scrap white card behind the image panel (instead of using foam tape) and adhered it to my card base with double sided tape. I finished off with some soft pink adhesive pearls. For the inside I stamped another book to the bottom of a white panel cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and again ink blended around it with a soft pink ink. I coloured the books again with Promarkers and added white gelly roll pen highlights. I decided not to add any flowers on the inside as I didn't want to take up too much room. I stamped the sentiment in the centre with brown ink. The panel was then adhered to the card base with double sided tape. I wish you could see this card IRL as it's much softer and prettier (in my opinion).
