Stamp with fun #110–DT card

Hello friends, I’m sorry for the lateness of my posts today but we all went out for the day yesterday to celebrate my son’s 17th birthday and I was too tired to do my posts last night.  I cannot believe my baby is 17 – it is making me feel really old lol!  He had a fairly low key birthday but had a good day never-the-less.

Onto this week’s stamp with fun challenge which is a lovely sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 and here it is:

and here is my card:

I made this card for my youngest son to give to his brother for his birthday.  The Mario image is a bit of a joke as when I kept asking my son what type of birthday cake he wanted he would joke around and say a Mario brothers cake so when I found this image on one of the colouring pages I knew I just had to use it!!  I really enjoyed using the sketch as I love the clean lines and layers – which is one of my faves things as you know.  I didn’t add any embellishments just the sentiment and the circular age tag.  I saw this font on another crafter’s blog called ‘junkos typewriter’ but I stupidly didn’t bookmark the page, I’m sure if you search for it you’ll find it too.  I think it is brilliant for men/boys cards as it is so funky!!  The fab papers are basic grey.

We are sponsored this week by In2stamps and the lucky winner will receive two stamps.
