Cupcake craft challenge #131–DT project

Hello again everyone, as promised I’m back with my project for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Delphine has set the theme and she has chosen “anything but square”.  I decided to make my son a bookmark as he has started to read the Percy Jackson books and is really enjoying them but at the moment is using a piece of paper to keep his page (aww poor love).  Here is my bookmark:

CCC challenge 131 - anything but a square

CCC challenge 131 - anything but a square (close up)

I bought the fab digi image from Tiddly Inks and coloured him with my promarkers (the digi also comes with some extra book images too).  I thought it looked a bit like my son (well the floppy hair at least) but my son doesn’t think so lol!  I inked all the edges with a tim holtz ink pad just to soften the papers a little.

We are lucky enough to have two sponsors this week – Lili of the Valley are offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

LOTV shop logo

and Tickled Pink stamps are offering a prize of either 1 rubber stamp or two digi images of the winner’s choice from their store.

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ prize and for February we are sponsored by Crafts U Love and they are offering a £10.00 voucher to their online store.

Stamp with fun #100–DT card

Good morning dear friends  Where did the weekend go and for that matter where did February go, I cannot believe that tomorrow it will be 1st March!!  At least the weather was a bit brighter this weekend, and we even saw lots of sunshine here, even though it was still chilly.   I hope your weekend was good, even if the weather wasn’t so good where you were.  I’m here to share with you my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and we have a lovely sketch to use this week:

I have finally used my “new” LOTV image called ‘garden of wishes’ which I have had stamped out on my desk since I bought her!  I love this image as I think she looks so peaceful and dreamy.  As the papers I used were quite bold I decided to colour her in more soft muted colours.

We are sponsored by Cute Stamps and Cards and they are offering some lovely prizes this week.

Good morning dear friends.  This week is just flying by, I can’t believe it’s Thursday already but at least it’s time for another charisma cardz challenge.  This week Allison has set the theme and she has chosen “black, white and 1 other”.  I decided to go for something bright and cheerful so choose yellow as my extra colour.  Here is my card:

This card is a dinky 4x4 size but it’s just perfect for little notecards or even Easter cards.  I have used one of Sally-Ann’s newly released images over at DigiStamp Boutique and it’s part of the spring animals collection.  There are six different, all equally super cute, images in the collection and the set is on a special offer of just £4.20 at the moment – grab yours now whilst its at such an amazing price.  For once I also decorated the inside of my card to match the outside but I forgot to take a picture d’oh!

We have two sponsors this week.  Firstly we have DigiStamp Boutique who are offering 6 digi images to one lucky winner.

Our second sponsor is Ai Factory and they are offering a surprise prize (it’s only a surprise cos I don’t know what it is at the moment lol!).

Passion for promarkers #88–DT card

Happy Tuesday everyone.  I hope you are enjoying the half-term holidays so far, although the weather here is typical for the school holidays (very wet and wild).  My boys don’t really mind as they spend most of their days killing various monsters and vampires on the x-box (they are 14 and 16).  Unfortunately I’ve used up all my annual leave so I have to work this week, but on the plus side the roads are very quiet and parking in work is a breeze!!

So onto the real reason you are here this morning – a card!!  As it’s Tuesday that means we have a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Sarah has set the theme and she has chosen the dreaded “one for the boys” theme.  I know most people hate making cards for the boys and men in their lives but with 3 men/boys in my house it’s something I’ve become used to.  As luck would have it I needed a card for my nephew’s birthday, which is today (Happy 22nd Birthday Jonathan) so my card is for him.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 88 - one for the boys

PFP challenge 88 - one for the boys (close up)

I bought this digi image especially for my nephew (you know what they are like at 22 lol!) from Kenny K and it’s called ‘cheers dude’.  I really like these dovecraft papers, even though they are really old, but I’m almost out of them now.  I think they are just perfect for male themed cards.  Add my trademark stars and there you have it lol!

Our sponsor this week is Angel Crafts and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

OSAAT challenge – anything but square (my card is A5 in size)

Stamptacular challenge – S.O.S. (I made it for my nephew)

Whoopsi daisy challenge – someone special (again for my nephew)

Craft your passion challenge – male card or project

Cards for men challenge – 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments (3 pearls)

Incy wincy designs challenge – use punches or dies (the stars are die cut)

Karen’s doodles challenge – masculine

Totally stampalicious challenge – brown, green and blue (there is a hint of green on the words paper)

Pixie dust studio challenge – don’t be square (my card is A5 in size)

Sew many cards challenge – sketch

Crafty catz challenge – one for the men

Easy craft projects challenge – something for the boys

Fairy fun challenge – all in the fine print

Southern girls challenge – blue and chocolate

I hope you enjoy your Tuesday and that you will have a chance to enter our challenge this week.  I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #99–DT card

Good morning crafty friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  The weather wasn’t too bad but I didn’t venture outside at all, I preferred to stay indoors and craft and watch TV with the boys.  Sadly though another Monday rolls in but on the plus side that also means it’s time for the stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a recipe for you to use “3 papers, 3 flowers and 1 ribbon” which is nice and simple so I don’t want any excuses for not joining in lol!  Here is my card:

SWF #99 - 3 papers, 3 flowers & 1 ribbon

SWF #99 - 3 papers, 3 flowers & 1 ribbon (close up)

I have used an image from DigiStamp Boutique which is part of the February offer of the month and it is called ‘Fairy Grace’.  You have to be quick though as you only have a week left to get it at the amazing offer price.  There are 4 images in total (including the one I’ve used today) and they are all super cute and very girly.  I used flower buttons instead of real buttons as it fitted in with the sketch.

We have a lovely prize up for grabs this week courtesy of our very own Agnes and she is offering one lucky winner this gorgeous Wags ‘n’ Whiskers stamp.

An award

I unexpectedly received this award last week from the lovely Rachael (thank you so much for thinking of me and my blog hun).

loveblog_from_Rachael Feb 11

There are a few rules that come with this award:

1) You have been tagged, do you want to accept? 'Of course!' then create a post on your blog and post the love blog photo.

2) Link back to the person who gave you the award and say if you accept.

3) Choose 3-5 of your favourite blogs to tag, link these in your post too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged. As the aim of this award is to bring unknown good blogs to light, please don't tag somebody with 3000 followers.

This is the part that I really struggle with as there as so many brilliant crafters out there but after much thought I managed to narrow it down to the following bloggers that I love to visit.

Coops (Nic) – Coops cluttered corner (the most dedicated blogger I know, she seems to visit everyone’s blogs and her cards are stunning too!)

Fiona – Lil daffodil (another dedicated crafter whose cards are beautiful)

Delphine – Delphine’s place (a relatively new friend but I love her CAS style of cards and she is super friendly!  Gorgeous blog template too haha!)

Sari – Sari’s cards (another new friend but her vintage style cards are simply stunning)

Jacqui – The poodles doodles (a lovely new friend.  I love visiting her blog and seeing her hand drawn images)

I hope you will check out my tagged blogs and once again a big thank you to Rachael for this most appreciated award.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for promarkers #87–DT project

Happy Tuesday dear friends.  I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s card and were spoilt by your other halves!!  I’m here today to share with you my DT project for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week Nic has set the theme and she has chosen the brilliant colour theme of “coffee and cream”.  Don’t forget you must use your promarkers or aqua markers to be included in our prize draw.  I decided for a change not to make a card and altered a cappuccino tin that I had in my cupboard.  Here is the before picture:

PFP challenge 87 - coffee & cream (before pic of tin)

and here is the tin after I’ve altered it:

PFP challenge 87 - coffee & cream

PFP challenge 87 - coffee & cream (rear view)

PFP challenge 87 - coffee & cream (close up)

PFP challenge 87 - coffee & cream (top view)

I used a gorgeous image by Whiff of Joy called ‘Willow with coffee to go’ and I found this fun coffee bean paper in my stash, which of course I had to use.  I embossed the kraft card and used my MS cherish punch for the border.  I am planning on filling the tin with coffee pods for my MIL’s coffee machine as it’s her birthday this week.

Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique and the lucky winner will receive 6 digi images of their choice.  As Sally-Ann has so many super cute images you will be spoilt for choice.
