Good morning everyone, I hope you have all been safe and warm this weekend as I think most of the country has seen some snow at some point. We had quite a bit on Friday evening and it’s been so freezing cold that the pavements and side roads are like sheets of ice. I am so relieved that I have a week off from work this week and don’t even have to try and venture out if I don’t want to *phew*. Here is a picture taken Friday evening from my front door:
I’m back this morning with my DT project for the stamp with fun challenge. Our theme this week is “advent” and you can interpret it however you like. I was going to make one of those gorgeous little advent easel cards but unfortunately didn’t have a chance to get any matchboxes and ran out of time to make some. I decided instead to make some sour cream containers as I thought they could be hung off the Christmas tree with a little treat inside and opened each day. I actually didn’t use an image on my projects and only had to use my promarkers to colour the border around the sentiment (shock I know!):
The containers were actually made from the inners of toilet rolls (which I covered with patterned paper) and here is a picture to show you the “before”.
The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so why not pop over to the challenge blog and check them out. We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.
I can also enter my projects into the following challenges:
The crazy challenge – staples (I stapled both ends of my containers)
The crafty pad challenge – snowflakes (my patterned paper has snowflakes on it)
A spoonfull of sugar challenge – anything goes
Creative card crew challenge – treat boxes and goodie bags
Papertake challenge – cut it out (I used my circle nesties)
Crafts and me challenge – snowflakes (again my paper)
Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – go with the flow
For fun challenge – anything goes
Quixotic challenge – no square or rectangles
Let’s craft and create challenge – anything goes
Paper pretties challenge –clean and simple
CRAFT challenge – Christmas present
Crafty sentiments challenge – Christmas
Digi doodle challenge – red and green
Hanna & friends challenge – advent calendar
Sew many cards challenge – red and green
Crafty catz challenge – Christmas
Fun with shapes and more challenge – anything but a card
Mami doodles challenge – make a handmade/altered gift item
Paper cutz challenge – anything goes
Die cut dreams Christmas club challenge – use a die-cut (my nesties)
Bunny Zoe’s challenge – anything Christmas but not a card
The shabby tea room challenge – get in shape (no square or rectangles)
Ok that’s it for now but I will be back a little later with my DT card for the cupcake craft challenge. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
