Stamp with fun #87 – DT project

Good morning everyone, I hope you have all been safe and warm this weekend as I think most of the country has seen some snow at some point.  We had quite a bit on Friday evening and it’s been so freezing cold that the pavements and side roads are like sheets of ice.  I am so relieved that I have a week off from work this week and don’t even have to try and venture out if I don’t want to *phew*.  Here is a picture taken Friday evening from my front door:

Nov 26th 2010 (3)

I’m back this morning with my DT project for the stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “advent” and you can interpret it however you like.  I was going to make one of those gorgeous little advent easel cards but unfortunately didn’t have a chance to get any matchboxes and ran out of time to make some.  I decided instead to make some sour cream containers as I thought they could be hung off the Christmas tree with a little treat inside and opened each day.   I actually didn’t use an image on my projects and only had to use my promarkers to colour the border around the sentiment (shock I know!):

The containers were actually made from the inners of toilet rolls (which I covered with patterned paper) and here is a picture to show you the “before”.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so why not pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I can also enter my projects into the following challenges:

  2. Great project Denise, I love these little containers. Lucky you not having to venture out, you picked a great week!!

We had a dusting of snow here on Saturday, but only enough to make everything icy and difficult for travelling!

Keep warm and thank you for joining in with our challenge again.

    Take care

  5. Oh my, Denise ... that snow looks so pretty but sooooo cold! I live in the south where we get cold temps, but rarely any snow. I'm originally from the north, so I know all about snow and ice!
