Wow I can’t believe how fast the weeks are flying by – we are already on week 24 over at passion for promarkers challenge and this week’s challenge is a colour combo chosen by our guest designer Manda. She would like to see your creations with the colour combo of grass & canary as the predominant colours.
For my card I used the image from my colouring tutorial on the weekend workshop last Friday. The image is a gorjuss girl sugar nellie stamp called ‘flower girl’ (from funky kits) and I coloured her with the following promarkers -
Dress – canary & tulip yellow
Tights – grass, emerald, canary & tulip yellow
Hair – tan & caramel
Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink
I used ice grey 1 for the outline and added stickles to the flowers and a white gel pen for highlights.
I created a ‘patchwork’ type background by cutting small squares of different papers (from my scrap box) and sticking them to a plain piece of bazzill bling card (I inked all the edges with a colorbox cats eye chalk ink pad in ice jade). The gorgeous ribbon is from my stash and the flowers were cut with my small ek success retro flower punch. The adhesive pearls are from my stash and the image was cut out with my circle nesties. For once I really like how this card turned out – I think its really sweet :) I’m like most crafters and think that most of my cards are just ‘ok’ lol!
Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.
If you have time please check out the rest of the DT cards, as they are gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what you create and look forward to visiting your blogs. Thanks for stopping by today.

This is gorgeous Denise! Such pretty colours you have used. I often do a patchwork background to use up my scraps, otherwise I'd have a mountain of card! xx
ReplyDeleteYou know Diane, you have a delightful blog with wonderful cards here - so beautifully put together. I love this card. The colors are awesome and your papers in the patchwork are divine. You know that tidbit about coloring was really fantastic. I'm so glad I happened upon that. So nice of you to go piece by piece. I am still in the very early stages of coloring and darn if I can get it right the majority of the time; even took a class. You gave me more info on blending so that's really great. Thank you. Also, thank you for the kind words you left on my blog as you always do. What a kind hearted person you are! You're a fabulous crafter too! :)
