Anyone for Anya? & a card for Daniel

b'day card (6)

b'day card (6) close up

I’m cutting it fine for the Anyone for Anya? challenge this week.  I loved the sketch and was determined to make a card but I had to make sure I got all my DT cards finished first :)  I used TGF image called ‘sheriff Ian’ (available from dies to die for) and coloured him with my promarkers (I used the blender pen to create the checks on his shirt).  The papers are DCWV , the blue card is from the papermill shop and the kraft card is from elzybells.  This is the first time I’ve used kraft card but I’ve seen so many people use it (especially Elizabeth from elzybells) that I thought I’d give it a go….and I have to say I really like the effect.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my circle nesties and the stars were cut in the CB with a quickutz cookie cutter.  The adhesive stones are PM.  It’s hard to see in the photo but my card is about 13 layers thick, so you can imagine how weighty it is!

As I said in the title this card is also for Daniel who is the son of Claire (whose blog is craftyc’s crafting library).  Daniel is autistic and he loves to receive handmade cards so Claire is asking for cards to be sent to Daniel for his upcoming birthday on 12th November.  Just click on the link to go to Claire’s blog and read all the details, plus she has some awesome candy up for grabs too ;)  Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Halloween….hope you all have a fun evening trick or treating :)

Daring cardmakers challenge

b'day card (21)

b'day card (21) close up

This is the first time I’ve entered the daring cardmakers challenge but when I saw the theme was ‘get punchy with it’ I had to get involved.  As you know I love my punches and use them on almost every card I make.  For today’s card I used my stamping bella image called ‘cuppacakeabella’ and coloured her with my promarkers, adding stickles to the frosting on the cake.  The paper was a magazine freebie and the cs is from the papermill shop.  I used my circle nesties to cut out the image and the gorgeous ribbon was recycled from a gift I received.  The sentiment was created on the pc and I cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The decorative edges on the paper were cut with my new(ish) MS doily lace punch (from dies to die for).  The flowers were cut with my small EK success retro flower punch and the adhesive pearls are kanban.

Thanks for all your good wishes yesterday regarding my new DT positions :)  I hope I can deliver the goods now lol!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Very exciting news!

Hello everyone, sorry I wasn’t around yesterday but I was at a speed awareness course (I was a naughty girl a little while ago and had a speeding ticket *wink*).

Anyway I have some very exciting news to share with you – I have been chosen to be part of two design teams!!!

The first news is that I’ve been chosen to join the Stamp with Fun challenge blog and my first card will be for next week’s challenge.  I am so honoured to have been chosen and the rest of the design team are incredibly talented.  Please check out the blog for more details on the rest of the team.

The second brilliant news is that I’ve been chosen to join the new challenge blog set up by Susie Sugar called “Susie’s Sassy Challenge” (what a funky name ‘eh?)  This challenge will be starting on November 5th and will be every 2 weeks.  Susie was only looking for 1 new design team member but ended up choosing 4 and I was one of the lucky 4!!  I can’t wait to start working with the rest of the talented team.

Well it looks like it’s going to be a busy time ahead for me…….. so I will have to give myself a kick up the butt and get myself more organised :)

I’ll be back later with a card, so see ya’ later.

This is my late entry for the DT call over at sassy designs. Susie is looking for one designer to join her team for her new monthly challenge which is starting soon called “Susie’s sassy challenge”. The DT call ends tonight at midnight, so if you’re interested you need to make a christmas card and get it posted to your blog asap :) This card also fits the bill over at the creative card crew challenge this week whose theme is ‘snowflakes’. I used my sugar nellie image called ‘manga fairy’ (available from funky kits) and coloured her with promarkers and I added stickles to her wings and wand. The papers are DCWV from the rose tinted christmas paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The snowflakes are cut with my dovecraft punch and the adhesive pearls are kanban. The sentiment is craftwork cards and I cut it out with my SU oval punches. The strip of cs in the centre of the card was cut with my MS zigzag embossed border punch. I hope you are all having a fab day and enjoying the gorgeous weather we’re having at the moment :)

PFP challenge 23 - animals (close up)

Our challenge this week over at passion for promarkers has been chosen by Helen and she would like to see animals on your creations, although you are free to use any colours you like :)  For my card I used a high hopes image kindly sent to me by Tracy called ‘christmas treat’ (available from dies to die for) and I coloured it with the following promarkers:

trousers and hat – red and berry red

boots – ice grey 1, 3 and 5

skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

present – meadow green and apple

doggie – tan and caramel

outline was done with cool grey 1

The papers are all doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The snowflake was cut with my MS arctic snowflake punch and the adhesive stones are kaisercraft.  The ribbon is anita’s.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punch to cut the red card behind it.  Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.  I can’t wait to see your creations and visit your blogs.  Please check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all gorgeous again this week.

My card also qualifies for the Friday sketcher’s challenge this week as I used their sketch and the allsorts challenge as their theme is ‘furry friends’.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge this week.  We have a lovely sketch for you to use and for my card I used my new Gillian F Roberts stamp called ‘christmas stocking’ (available from dies to die for) and coloured it with my promarkers.  I added stickles to the fluffy bits on his hat and highlights with a white gel pen.  The papers are all imaginisce except for the small tree paper which is american traditionals.  The decorative edge was cut with my martha stewart doily lace punch and the snowflakes were cut out with my martha stewart artic snowflake punch.  The ribbon is SU and the adhesive stones are kaisercraft.

CRAFT #22/Allsorts #24/OSCC #52

Anniversary card (1)

Anniversary card (1) close up

Hello and happy Saturday to you all, it’s been a day for crafting today as the weather has been wet and very windy here.  My card today fits in with 3 challenges – the C.R.A.F.T challenge is ‘anniversary’, the allsorts challenge is ‘furry friends’ and the one stop craft challenge is ‘celebration’.  I stamped the PB image called ‘snuggle’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  I coloured the hearts in with a sakura gelly roll pen so that they are glittery.  The shimmery paper is DCWV from the luxury stack and the edges were cut with my martha stewart doily lace punch (available from dies to die for).  The plain cs is also DCWV and I used my circle nesties to cut out the image.  The hearts were cut out with punches.  The adhesive shimmery dots are PM and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The ribbon is from my stash.  This card was ordered by a friend of my hubby’s for his wife and it is A5 in size.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Penny black challenge #71

**THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY –

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY EARLIER POST **

b'day card (6)

b'day card (6) close up

I was asked to make a horse themed card by my auntie and so I used my new PB image called ‘minding shelty’ (from tabby crafts).  The sketch for this week’s penny black challenge was gorgeous so I decided to use that as my starting point (although I did rotate the sketch).  I coloured the image with my promarkers, using the coloured image on the stamp to help me with shading.  I achieved the ‘dappled effect’ on the horse by dotting the blender pen over the colour.  The gorgeous papers are SU called ‘junior varsity’ (wish I’d ordered more from Jules) and the buttons are doodlebug.  The green panel was run through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder and the sentiment was created on the pc.  A fairly simple card but I think it’s perfect for a man.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bee Crafty challenge #15

Gina's b'day card (close up)

It was Gina’s 40th birthday yesterday (my fellow partner in crime over at passion for promarkers) and this is the card and image envelope I made to send to her.  I used the gorgeous sketch from the current bee crafty challenge for my card.  I used a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘sophie and present’ and coloured her with my promarkers, adding highlights with a white gel pen.  The papers are beautiful BG from the lemonade paper pad and the sentiment is SU from the oval all stamp set.  The 40 sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut out both sentiments.  The flower heads are from joanna sheen and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiment on the image envelope is also SU from the oval all set.  I hope you’ve had a great Friday and woohoo I’m off work now for 10 days, unfortunately though so are my kids LOL! ;)  I’ll be back later with my last minute card for the penny black challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

congrats card (3)

congrats card (3) close up

I’ve never entered the polka doodle challenge before but I really liked the sketch so I thought I’d give it a go.  The image is from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘George and present’ and I coloured him with my promarkers.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop and I used my CB swiss dots embossing folder on the purple card.  The patterned paper is also digital by tinker & co available here and I used my circle nesties to cut out the image.  The flowers were cut with my x-cut punch and the circles were cut out with a small circle punch.  The sentiment is see-d’s and the decorative edge on the black cs was cut with my martha stewart zigzag embossed punch.  I hope you are all having a great week so far.  I’m feeling much better and went back to work yesterday, although I was shattered last night :)  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP challenge 22 - poppy & forest green

PFP challenge 22 - poppy & forest green (close up)

This week over at passion for promarkers our challenge has been chosen by guest DT member Claire and it is a colour combo – ‘poppy and forest green’.  For my card I stamped anya from the ‘rain, snow and shine’ set by TGF and coloured her with the following promarkers:

jacket, boots and ear muffs – poppy & berry red

Scarf and tights – forest green

hair – cinnamon & cocoa

skin – vanilla, blush & pastel pink

Outline – ice grey 1

I also added stickles to her fluffy trim and hand warmer (can’t for the life of me remember what its called lol) and highlights with a white gel pen.

The paper is imaginisce and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The tulle ribbon is from tabby crafts (a fab online shop that I’ve just discovered.  Really super fast delivery and only £1.00 postage) and adhesive stones are PM.  The snowflakes are punched with my new martha stewart arctic snowflake punch (available from dies to die for).  The sentiment is craftwork cards and was cut out with my SU oval punches (sorry I know the sentiment is hard to read but I had to use the flash as it was so gloomy here!).

Our sponsor this week is Yellow Moon and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online shop.

A spoonfull of sugar #73/stamp something

**THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY – PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY CUPCAKE CRAFT CHALLENGE DT CARD **

b'day card (8)

b'day card (8) close up

I’m cutting it extremely finely for the a spoonfull of sugar challenge this week, which is a fabulous sketch by Caryn (who is also my fellow DT member at PFP).  This card also fits the bill at stamp something challenge this week, where the theme is ‘bling somethings’.  I stamped a sugar nellie gorjuss girl image called ‘untamed’ (available at funky kits) and coloured her with my promarkers.  I wanted to use quite bright and funky colours as it was for a young girl and chose pink and orange after finding this stunning DCWV glitter card (aptly from the glitter stack lol).  The pink paper is doodlebug and the plain orange paper is a freebie from a craft magazine.  The flowers were cut out with my ek success retro flower punches and the adhesive stones are kaiser craft.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the ribbon bows are from ideal world (a very long time ago).  This card was for an order and it is A5 size.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #62 – DT card

CCC challenge 62 - things that go bump in the night (set)

CCC challenge 62 - things that go bump in the night (card)

CCC challenge 62 - things that go bump in the night (gift bag)

Well it’s a new week over at cupcake craft challenge and our theme this week is ‘things that go bump in the night’. You can interpret this theme any way you like. I decided to make a topper for a bag of choccies and a matching card for my DT sample this week. I used a cute dracula image (don’t know who it’s by as it doesn’t have a name on it) and I coloured it with my promarkers. The papers are doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used the largest rectangle nesties for the base of the bag topper and then my circle nestie to cut and mount my image. The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches. The ribbon and gems are from my stash and I used a sizzix sizzlit die to cut out the ghost. I’ve never made one of these bag toppers before but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.

Our sponsor this week is Jeannette, who as well as being part of our DT is also a SU demonstrator. The lucky winner will receive some yummy SU goodies. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT creations, as they are all beautiful (and not at all scary lol). I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous projects. Thanks for stopping by today.

There are so many halloween themed challenges around at the moment that my card also qualifies for 7 other challenges this week!! The challenges are:-

Stamp with fun, pile it on, stamptacular, papertake, cute card thursday, moving along with the times and one stop craft challenge.

ABC challenge/secret crafter challenge #54

Anniversary card (4)

The ABC challenge this week is ‘F for flying’ and the secret crafter challenge is ‘dig deep’ which means they want use to you an older stamp/image.  I used an older digi image from DigiStamp Boutique from the love birds collection and is called ‘family sing song’ and I coloured it with my promarkers.  The dotty paper is making memories and the blue paper is doodlebug.  The flower heads are from joanna sheen and the white flowers are imaginisce.  The ribbon is also making memories and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiments were created on the pc and the layout was an old sketch by dawny p.  I hope you are having a great Saturday.  I’m feeling a little better today, just this damn cough driving me nuts!!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Our creative corner challenge

b'day card (6)

b'day card (6) close up

The challenge over at our creative corner this week was a sketch.  It’s been so long since I’ve managed to enter their challenges but the sketch was so lovely that I couldn’t resist this week, although I did rotate the sketch to fit my image.  I used a TGF image from the ‘miss anya dressy’ set and coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are all DCWV and the plain cs is bazzill bling.  I created the sentiment on the pc and cut it out with my SU oval punches.  The large flower was cut out with my ek success retro flower punch and the small flower was from ikea.  The gorgeous brad is from my stash and the adhesive pearls are BG.  A fairly simple card but as the papers are so busy I think it looks ok.  Thanks for your lovely get well wishes yesterday….I’m still feeling poorly as I coughed all night last night and I’m really tired today :(  I’m beginning to sound like a man aren’t I!!  Hopefully will start to feel better over the weekend after I dose myself up with lotions and potions!!  Thanks for stopping by today.
