Cupcake craft challenge #54 – DT card

CCC challenge 54 - any shape but a square

CCC challenge 54 - any shape but a square (close up)

Wow what an exciting week we had over at the cupcake craft challenge blog last week.  We celebrated our first birthday and boy did we have some gorgeously ‘sweet’ entries.  Don’t forget to check out the main blog to see who are the lucky winners of the wonderful sponsor prizes we had up for grabs.  I will be announcing the winner of my personal birthday candy at the end of the post, so stay tuned.

This week’s challenge is ‘any shape except a square’.  Now most of my regular visitors will know that I struggle with anything that’s not a card but I suppose that’s what a challenge is all about.  I decided to make a cracker shaped card and of course that meant a christmas card.  I used a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘winter sophie’ and coloured her with my promarkers adding highlights with a white gel pen.  I liberally spread stickles onto her hat and boots and also to the snowflakes .  As I thought it would be a little difficult to cover the base with paper I decided to stamp the background and I used a denami design snowflake stamp and colorbox chalk cat’s eye inkpads in warm red, ice jade and ice blue.  I used my nesties to cut the circle and scalloped circle and used ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment is by craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punch for the piece behind it.  The brad is doodlebug.

Now onto the important bit – the winner of my personal birthday candy, a martha stewart simple scallop punch, (chosen by random.org) is:-

**** MARGIE ****

Congratulations Margie, please can you contact me with your details so that I can get your lovely punch sent out to you (if I don’t hear from Margie by the end of Wednesday I will draw another winner).  Thanks to everyone who entered.  I hope you all have a good day and find the time to enter our challenge this week.  I can’t wait to visit all your blogs and see your wonderful creations.  Don’t forget to check out the DT offering this week as they are all stunning.  Thanks for stopping by today.
