This is the second 90th card that I made. I stamped the woodware image and coloured it with my pro-markers. I also added highlights of sakura stardust pen on the image. I used dp by basic grey and plain cs from the papermill shop. I cut a decorative edge with my fiskars threading water paper punch for added interest. The sentiment was done on my pc. Thanks for looking.

Simple but elegant
I had to make a batch of three cards for the same lady who was celebrating her 90th birthday. This is the first of the three. I stamped the gorgeous penny black image with brilliance pink ink (apologies for the poor photo but the ink is so beautiful and sheer it doesn't capture very well on camera). I used free dp that came with a magazine and bazzill bling cs and printed the sentiment on my pc. The lovely black ribbon is from my stash. A simple but elegant card. I hope you agree. Thanks for looking.

Elzybells shopper
This was made for a friend of mine, who loves to shop, especially for a bargain. I stamped the elzybells image and coloured her with my pro-markers. I used plain cs from the papermill shop and dp from the glitter stack by DCWV. I cut the decorative edge with my fiskars threading water paper punch. I stamped the sentiment by hero arts. My friend is so lovely and always appreciates my cards. Thanks for looking.

Can anyone help?
I need to make a card for a 90 year old man who loves his garden. He has an allotment, vegetable patch and greenhouse. He still makes his own soups and chutneys. I don't have any gardening stamps suitable and was wondering if anyone could help me. I'd be happy to swap some images if that would help. I need this as soon as possible :0) Please drop me a comment or email me directly. Thanks for looking.

Han's candy!
Pop on over to Han's blog as she has some lovely blog candy up for grabs. You have until 1st Oct so you'd better hurry up! Thanks for looking.
One Pretty Kitty!
I made this card for my friend in work as it was her birthday on Thursday. I stamped the kitty image by cc designs and coloured the crown and collar with my pro-markers. The dotty dp was a free download from mad about cards and the green cs is from the papermill shop. The pretty kitty sentiment is also by cc designs and the birthday sentiment is by stampendous. The adhesive gems are by papermania. Thanks for looking.
Baby Girl Card
I made this to give to a colleague at work as she has just had her second baby girl. I stamped the Hero arts super cute image and coloured it in with my pro-markers. I used dp from the nana's nursery stack by DCWV and plain bazzill bling cs. I stamped the sentiment by verve visual and punched it out with my marvy oval punch. The bows were bought from create and craft many moons ago and the adhesive stones are by papermania. Apologies for the "lopsided" photo, I was rushing before work and took a very quick photo. Thanks for looking.
Two more awards!
The lovely Gina at The Card Kabin recently gave me these two fab awards and I've been extremely poor at blogging lately so only now am I getting around to putting them on. I am really touched that Gina has thought of me and I promise normal blogging service will resume shortly *wink*.
The five crafters I am going to pass them onto are:
Sarah at Fluff's Creations
Shelley at Minkie's Paper Paradise
Deb at Crafty Card-I Higgins
Janet at Pink Gem
Tracey at TLC
I'm also going to give it right back to Gina as she is so sweet and she makes fab cards - go check out her blog if you haven't already.
I apologise if any of you have already received them. Thanks for looking.

Do you want to win $1000 worth of goodies?
If you do you need to check out Cammie's blog. She has organised an amazing giveaway in aid of Alzhiemer's. Unfortunately Cammie lost her grandmother to this terrible disease in the summer and is trying to raise awareness. There's not much time left to enter the giveaway so pop onto her blog and follow the very detailed instructions. Good luck! Thanks for looking.

Look what I got!!!!
I've taken part in the Secret Sister swap organised by Michelle at The Card Grotto and I received my parcel on Friday. Wow! I am totally gobsmacked by all the lovely things that my secret sister has sent me. Right I'm taking a deep breath - a gorgeous card, a book made with the bind-it-all which is out of this world, an accordian book in a heart shaped tin by foof-a-la, a basic grey tag book, 2 sets of clear stamps, a single cc designs stamp, a complete set of cc designs stamps, a single wood mounted stamp by stampendous, a set of funky brads by papermania and last but not least 3d winter epoxy stickers. I am still in shock. The photo is really bad because there was too much to fit in :0) I would like to say a BIG (HUGE) thank you to my secret sister - I have no idea who you are but I can't wait to find out to say my thank you's in person (so to speak). I also would like to say thanks to Michelle for organising us all, you are a treasure!! I'm off to look at everything again hehe. Thanks for looking.
Thank you Shelley
I recently sent Shelley some birthday goodies and look what I got in the post the other day. Thank you so much Shelley - the card and penny black images are adorable but there was really no need. I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday and can't wait to see what you create with your goodies. Thanks again you are a true friend. Thanks for looking.
Another man's card
I was asked to make this card by my auntie for her friend. I used the same funstamps teddy image and coloured him with my pro-markers (I did this one before the card for my grandfather and the colours I used on the ted aren't so good - he's a little pale and uninteresting). I used dp by DCWV from the glitter stack and the plain paper is from a pack I bought from QVC a long time ago. The sentiment was done on my pc and the number stickers are by creative imaginations. The ribbon is by american crafts and again I got it in a kit from QVC ages ago. Thanks for looking.
Happy birthday daddo
This is the card that I made for my daddo's (grandfather) 95th birthday. I stamped the funstamps image and coloured him with my pro-markers. I used dp by k.i. memories and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used my pc for the sentiment and punched it out with my marvy oval punch, I also punched a circle of the green cs to go behind the sentiment. The brads are from my stash and I punched some small circles to go behind them. Again another simple card but bright enough that hopefully my grandfather would be able to see some of it. Thanks for looking.
Oops!
I made this card for my mother to give to my grandfather for his 95th birthday, which was on Thursday. I managed to cover 3 challenges for last week i.e. the Sketch Saturday sketch from last Saturday, the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was "cats & dogs" and the Penny Black Challenge which was "a man's card but no blue". However I didn't upload it in time for any of the challenge deadlines *d'oh*. I've had a crazy week, besides my mother recovering after her op, my oldest son has been ill with 'flu, my youngest son has had a few problems at his new school and now I'm also coming down with a cold. Anyhoo enough about me here at the deets of the card. I used bazzill bling cs in brown and natural and dp is by imagination project. I stamped the penny black image and coloured him with my pro-markers but I didn't like the original colour that I used for the tie so I stamped him again and cut out the tie and stuck it over the top. I don't normally use peel-offs but I thought these were quite stylish and they fit the bill for the sketch. Quite a simple card but as my grandfather's eyesight is so poor my mother said that it was probably better. Thanks for looking.

Update on dear Mother!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of your best wishes for my mother's speedy recovery. She came home from hospital on Monday and although she is very tender and uncomfortable she is not feeling too bad. She had 20 staples in her wound which are going to be removed on Sunday so hopefully she'll feel a little more comfortable after that. The worst part for her is that she cannot drive for 6 weeks, so she will have to rely on my father or myself to chauffeur her around. I will try and be back later with a card (I know, it's been a while *blush*). Thanks for looking.

My son the chef!
My son has just started year 10 and one of his choices was catering. This is his first attempt this year at cooking. He had to make chocolate fairy cakes (start them off simple). The tin looks a bit depleted as everyone was eating them so quickly. They were actually very nice, even though I only managed to grab one before they were all gone. On Tuesday he's trying his hand at scones. If they aren't a total disaster I pop a photo on for you to see. Again sorry for the bad photo but I couldn't get a good one due to the shine from the tin. Thanks for looking.
Another wedding card!!
I made this card for a friend in work. I stamped the stampendous image with versafine black onyx ink and added some bling with a sakura stardust pen. I used plain cream cs from the papermill shop and gold mirri cs from ebay. I ran the cream cs through the cuttlebug with my divine swirl embossing folder. As the piece was slightly larger than the folder I ended up with a join so I cut a piece of gold mirri cs and punched that with my fiskars threading water punch to make a decorative panel to cover the join. I used my pc for the sentiment and adhesive gems from QVC. The ribbon was from my stash. Sorry about the "wonky" photo, I was obviously having a bad day hehe!! Thanks for looking.

Feel better soon to my dear Mother!
I'm sorry that I haven't been around very much for the last few days or shown you any cards but my mother is in hospital and is now recovering from major surgery. She has been experiencing severe pain for the last year or so but without any answers from the doctors. However she had to be admitted at the beginning of July and they found she had multiple gall stones. They couldn't operate immediately as the gall bladder was too inflamed and had to wait at least 6 weeks. Well that time has come and she had her surgery yesterday. Unfortunately her "minor" overnight stay is now turning into "major" surgery with at least another 5 days in hospital. Her gall bladder was apparantly in a very bad state and they had to do a lot more work than they had originally planned. She is of course in extreme pain now but that will improve and eventually so will her quality of life. Please say a little prayer for her and wish her a speedy recovery. I am a stressed wreck and feel like I'm constantly at the hospital (as it is also the same hospital where I work, luckily for me so at least I can pop in frequently to see how she is). I hope I can show you some cards over the weekend but if not please bear with me and be assured that I will be back to normal as soon as I possibly can. Lots of love and well done if you've reached this far :0) Thanks for looking.

More candy!
Gina is offering lovely candy on her blog. She has had a break from her blog but is back and raring to go. Again all you have to do is leave her a comment and a link on your blog. You have until the 17th, so go and do it now!! Thanks for looking.
Happy Birthday Shelley
It is Shelley's birthday tomorrow so I made her a card and matching image folder. As she lives in France it obviously took a while for them to get to her, but I know she has now received them so I can safely post them on my blog. The first picture shows the card and image folder together. I made them matching 'cos I think they look cute when they look the same. I used two gorgeous images sent to me by Michelle that I coloured with my pro-markers. I thought the little girl looked a little parisienne with her beret. The fab dp is by 3 bugs in a rug and the plain cs is bazzill. The adhesive dots are from a kit by QVC. The happy birthday sentiment is by stamping bella and the sentiment on the wallet is by verve visual. The ribbon is from my stash.
The second photo shows the card and also the wallet open with the images inside. I sent Shelley all Christmas images, as I thought they would come in handy. I sent her some spiral whisper images, elzybells and penny black images.

I also sent her some flowers, gems, ribbon and an ink pad (which I didn't photograph) and she's over the moon with her surprise parcel. So Shelley have a fantastic birthday and I can't wait to see what you make with your goodies. Thanks for looking.
Candy up for grabs
Nikki is offering fab blog candy as she reaches her 20,000 hits. Wow what an achievement, it will take me 10 years to reach that haha!! Just pop along to her blog and leave a comment and link it to your blog. What you waiting for? You have until next Wednesday to leave a comment. Thanks for looking.

I just had to share!

Enjoy your retirement
My mother wanted a retirement card for a friend so I used this cute penny black image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and unfortunately the gorgeous dp doesn't have a manufacturer on it (or at least I used the piece with the name on it hehe). I created the decorative edge on the green cs by using my fiskars threading water paper punch. The adhesive stones are by papermania and the sentiment was done on my pc. Thanks for looking.

Ruby wedding
My mother asked me to make this card for her friend's ruby wedding anniversary. I simply stamped the image by Anita's with versafine black onyx ink and punched it out with my circle punch. I added that onto a punched scallop circle. The gorgeous dp is by basic grey and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. I used my fiskars threading water punch on the red cs at the bottom of the card. I used my pc for the sentiment and added red heart adhesive gems by papermania. I also added a few punched out hearts from the red cs for added decoration. The white ribbon is from ribbon mad. Thanks for looking.
Jen's Sketch for You To Try
I made this card using Jen's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) from August 30th. I used an image kindly sent to me by Tracy which I coloured with my pro-markers and added a touch of sakura glitter pen to the heart and spots. I used dp that I downloaded free from Mad about cards. The plain cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts and the adhesive stones are papermania. Thanks for looking.

Cards we don't like to make!
These are cards that we don't like to make but unfortunately they are the ones that we seem to need the most. I was asked to make this card by a colleague at work. I stamped the inkadinkado image with versafine onyx black ink and did the same with the PSX sentiment. I cut them out and inked the edges for definition. The gorgeous dp by chatterbox inc. was double sided, so I used both sides so that they would match perfectly. I used the one side as the main backing on my card and then the other side I cut into three panels and mounted them at intervals on my backing paper. I again inked all the edges for definition with a cat's eye chalk ink pad. I added papermania adhesive stones to the edges of my stamped image panels and also to the centre of the cross. Thanks for looking.
Sketch Saturday Challenge
This is my card for the sketch saturday challenge this week. I used a gorgeous rachelle anne miller image kindly sent to me by Diane, which I coloured with my pro-markers. The dp was a scrap so don't know who makes it. I ran a circle of white cs through the cuttlebug using the spots and dots embossing folder and lightly ran a cat's eye chalk inkpad over the top. The brown cs is bazzill bling and the white ribbon, flowers and brads are from my stash. Thanks for looking.
