I decided to make a clean and simple sympathy card as I prefer them to be this way; I don't like too much fuss on a sympathy card as a rule. As I'm patiently waiting for my new kit from Gina K Designs to arrive I thought I would dig into last month's kit and use something that I hadn't shown any love to yet. This is such a pretty stamp set and can be used for so many different occasions. I hope you like it.
Here is my card:
A closer look at the details:
Plus I decorated the inside:
I began by ink blending the circle shape onto my white panel (cut to 4" x 5 1/4"). I do have a circle stencil mask but to be honest I was too lazy to look for it so I just die cut a circle from another white panel and used that as my mask. I used two shades of light teal ink and went slightly darker towards the left hand side. I then took the curved silhouette stamp and stamped it over the circle with black ink. I decided to pop up the sentiment so stamped that onto white card and used the coordinating die to cut it out; I also die cut 2 more from white to stack them together. I used liquid glue to adhere the sentiment to the card. I decided to add 3 clear sequins around the sentiment for some subtle bling. I added some scrap white card behind the panel before adhering it to my card base with double sided tape. I admire crafters that can make one-layer cards but I always have to have some dimension on my cards or in my eyes they look too boring lol! For the inside I cut another white panel and ink blended along the bottom with the remaining ink on my blending brush. I stamped part of the image in the bottom right corner and the sentiment in the centre, both with black ink. The panel was then adhered to the card base with double sided tape.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
