Cupcake craft challenge #166–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Shelly has set the theme and she has chosen “take a leaf out of my book” which means we want you to use leaves as the main interest on the project, either the image or embellishments.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 166 - take a leaf out of my book

CCC challenge 166 - take a leaf out of my book (close up)

I was lucky enough to be offered an image from our sponsor this week (who are tickled pink stamps) and I chose this one called ‘vintage Christmas Christina’ and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  I created the holly background with a see-d’s stamp and coloured them with promarkers.  The dotty paper is HOTP from the ‘forever Christmas cards’ paper stack.  The holly were cut out with a sizzlit die and I used pearls for the berries.

As I mentioned our sponsor this week are tickled pink stamps and one lucky winner will receive either one rubber stamp or two digital images of their choice.

Tickled pink stamps

Don’t forget we also have our ‘icing on the cupcake’ sponsors and for October we have two!!  Firstly we have Polka Doodles and they are offering one lucky winner a copy of their ‘pretty sweet’ CD collection.  Our second sponsor is Scrap Affair and they are offering one lucky winner a 5 pack of promarkers.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Happy Halloween to all my wonderful friends.  I hope you all had a good weekend despite the awful weather we had.  Autumn is definitely upon us now and we will notice the difference especially now the clocks have gone back.  Any plans for tonight?  My boys are older now so they are not really interested in dressing up or going trick or treating but are quite happy to eat any sweets that are left over after everyone has stopped by lol!

Mini Candy No. 2!

** This post will remain at the top **

Please scroll down to see my recent posts x

Good morning dear friends. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far. I’ve not had any internet connection since Friday until now, so I apologise if I’ve missed any emails or messages, but I will get around to answering any questions ASAP. It’s awful how reliant we are on the internet these days isn’t it – I can’t manage a day without it before I become a crazy woman lol!

Anyway enough of my rambling. I’m here this morning with the second of my mini candy prizes and this week I am offering a £10.00 gift voucher to spend in my favourite digi shop DigiStamp Boutique.

DigiStamp Boutique logo

Sally-Ann has so many super cute images to choose from and there is always something for every occasion. Even if you are not my lucky winner I strongly urge you check out the shop and I’m sure you won’t be able to resist a little something falling into your basket haha!

As before please can you add a pic of the DSB logo in your sidebar with a link back to this post and add your name to Mr Linky below. One entry only please to be fair to everyone. I will end the draw next Sunday at 12 midday and announce the winner shortly after. Good luck!

Winter wonderland–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a good week so far, mine hasn’t been great but I can’t go into details – suffice to say I’ll be glad when it’s over!!  I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s winter wonderland challenge and I have the honour of setting the theme this week.  I decided to challenge myself and choose a theme that is the complete opposite of most of my cards – therefore the theme this week is “clean & simple Christmas card”.  Here is my card:

WW #19 - CAS Christmas card

WW #19 - Christmas card (close up)

I have used a super cute image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Hattie & Buddy’ and coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I haven’t used any patterned paper only plain cardstock for matting and I crimped the base card for a bit of added interest.  I only added some twine and a punched snowflake and I was done.  I have to say that I really like this card, even though it is so different to my normal cards, but it does look ten times better IRL – honest!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $15.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store (p&p not included).

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Passion for promarkers #123–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I trust you all had a good Monday – mine was great - work whizzed by for me, which is always a good thing.  I had to take my son to the doctors for a routine check up and then called in to see my parents but it was so wet and windy here that as soon as I came home I snuggled in my PJ’s and didn’t set foot outside the door again – a perfect evening in my book lol!  I hope you managed to avoid the terrible downpours we seem to be having at the moment.

As it’s Tuesday it’s time for a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week I had the honour of setting the theme and I chose “for a child” and I don’t mind what you make as long as it’s age appropriate for a child.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 123 - for a child

PFP challenge 123 - for a child (close up)

Now even though it is a baby card I think it can still be classed as a card for a child!!  Well it’s my challenge so I’m accepting baby card entries this week lol!  I made this card for a friend in work who’s daughter has just had her first baby – a little boy named Sonny.  My friend wanted a card that could also be framed as a keepsake and so I bought this adorable sugar nellie stamps digi image especially.  Isn’t it just the most beautiful baby image ever!  Even though it doesn’t look like it’s coloured that much I seemed to tinker with the colouring for ages but I’m quite happy with the finished image. I used both promarkers and flex markers to colour it.  I kept the card relatively flat (in case it was framed) and the layout is fairly uncluttered, which is unusual for me.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and one lucky winner will receive one of their brilliant promarker stamping kits.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.  Speaking of the design team I would like to send my congratulations to my fellow teamie Emma (and her partner Steve) on the new arrival of their beautiful baby daughter Olivia Roni.  Well done Emma!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Let’s craft and create challenge – one for the kids

Crafty Ann’s challenge – clean & simple

Cupcake craft challenge #165–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again friends.  I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Sari has set the theme and she has chosen “denim & lace”.  You can use the colour of denim or an actual piece of denim (as some of the DT have on their creations).  I decided to use the colour of denim and you can see my card here:

CCC challenge 165 - denim & lace

CCC challenge 165 - denim & lace (close up)

I have used a super cute image from Saturated Canary digis called ‘hippie love’ and I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  I used denim effect paper by basic grey but I’m not sure what it’s called and the other papers were off cuts in my stash.  I added some faux stitching and distressed all my edges.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s Store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Stamp with fun #134–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a brilliant weekend, but as I always say on a Monday morning, it went too fast!!  The boys are on their half-term holidays from school this week so at least I can have stress free mornings getting ready for work!  The only drawback with them being home is that they eat everything in sight and make such a mess!!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and we have a wonderful sketch by Andrea-Emmi41 for you to use.  Firstly here is my card:

SWF #134 - sketch

SWF #134 - sketch (close up)

and here is the sketch:

SWF #134 sketch

This card was made for an order that I had from a lady at work.  She only specified that she needed a 40th wedding anniversary card and that the couple liked dancing.  As soon as I saw this image at Karen’s Doodles shop I knew it would be perfect.  It was a bit touch an go for a while as the shop was down but thankfully it re-opened just in time!  The image is called ‘sweep me off my feet’ and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  I used some gorgeous ribbon with tiny hearts on each side but unfortunately I covered most of it up with embellishments lol!

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Charisma cardz #42–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  It’s Thursday already and it’s the last day of school for my boys as they have an inset day ahead of the half term week next week.  At least there will be peace in the mornings next week as I won’t have to keep nagging my eldest son to get up!!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge.  This week the lovely Gemma has set the theme and she has chosen “embossing”.  As my ink has now finally been delivered I decided to use a new digi image from DigiStamp Boutique and made a Christmas card.  You can see it here:

charisma cardz #42 - embossing

charisma cardz #42 - embossing (close up)

I decided to try the “dotty” halo effect around my image but I don’t it looks as fantastic as some talented crafters out there in blogland, but at least now I can say I gave it a go!  The image is called “skating Hattie” and it is available in the store here and she is coloured with flex markers and promarkers.  The papers are from an old paper pad by DCWV called ‘the Christmas multi-stack’ and I used the swiss dots embossing folder on the white panels behind the image.

Our sponsors this week are Meljen’s designs and they are offering one lucky winner 4 digi images of their choice and our second sponsor is all that scraps and one lucky winner will receive either one cc designs stamp set or 4 single stamps of their choice.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous samples once again, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out. We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Passion for promarkers #122–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you are all well and keeping warm and dry in the windy, wet weather we’re having at the moment.  I got soaked last night just putting my rubbish bags/recycling bins out in readiness for collection today.  I really don’t like the winter and am wishing my life away again until Spring lol!

Anyway enough of my waffling!!  I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week Lisa has set the theme and she has chosen “stars”, which can be on your image, papers or even use star embellishments, we don’t mind as long as we can see one star or more.  I was asked to make a card for a friend’s dad who loves golf, so I thought this challenge would be ideal for a masculine card.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 122 - stars

PFP challenge 122 - stars (close up)

By the way I now have ink for my printer *yippee* – that was the longest 5 days of my life, although I did enjoy using rubber stamps that I had forgotten about.  I’m back to digi today as I have used an image from DigiStamp Boutique called “golf James” and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘true blue’ paper pad and the kraft card is by elzybells.  I have used gold star brads as I thought they suited the paper better than my usual silver.

Our sponsor this week is Crafter’s Companion and they are offering a fantastic prize of a £20.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.

Hello again friends.  As promised I am back once more to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Rachel has set the theme and she has chosen “buttons & bows” which I’m sure will be a very popular challenge.  I had to make a card for an order so I incorporated the two.  Here is my card:

Stamp with fun #133–DT project

Good morning dear friends, well I can’t believe that  another weekend has flown by and the new working week is upon us!!  At least that means it’s time for a brand new challenge over at stamp with fun challenge lol!  This week our theme is “gift” so you can interpret that however you like.  I decided to make a few more Halloween treat holders (which will probably be my last for this year).:

SWF #133 - gift (2)

SWF #133 - gift (3)

SWF #133 - gift (close up)

I decided to make boy versions this time and used this adorable image from c.c. designs sugar plums range called ‘mummy Trevor’.  I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers, although he didn’t need too much colouring!  Now I know I’ve used the same papers again, but I especially bought this paper pad for Halloween and I’m determined to get my money’s worth out of it lol!  The pad is by authentique and is called ‘6x6 bundle collection: glowing’ and the baker’s twine is from the pretty little ribbon shop.  I know the chocolate I used isn’t really Halloweeny but it was all I had available for my photos – I will swap it out for something spooky next time I go shopping!
