Passion for promarkers #19 – DT card

PFP challenge 19 - cool aqua & apricot flowers

PFP challenge 19 - cool aqua & apricot flowers (close up)

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a brand new challenge over at passion for promarkers.  This week’s challenge has been set by our new guest designer Sam and the colour combo she would like you to use is cool aqua and apricot but with a twist of making your own flowers (not too difficult for most of us!).  Now I must let you into a small secret when I made my card (originally it had a boy image) Gina kindly pointed out to me that I had forgotten to add flowers (d’oh) so I had to re-do the image and girl it up a bit!!  Now for my second try I used a TGF miss anya image and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Dress, bows in hair and shoes – cool aqua & duck egg

Hair and trim on dress – apricot & honeycomb

Skin – ivory & blush

Socks – ice grey 1

outline – cool grey 1

White gel pen for highlights

The papers and ribbon are all SU and the sentiment is elusive images.  The flowers are all made with EK success retro flower punches and the adhesive pearl is kanban.

Our sponsor this week is craft obsessions and the lucky winner will receive a gorgeous martha stewart cosmos paper punch worth £10.50.  Also I thought you might like to know that they have a special offer on promarkers at the moment at £1.50 each but only for a limited time, so why not pop over and check them out!

I’m sure we’ll see some wonderful creations this week, as we all love our flowers so much, don’t forget to use the challenge colours as well though – cool aqua and apricot.  Please check out the DT cards, as they are stunning, as usual.  I look forward to visiting all your blogs this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #59 – DT card

CCC challenge 59 - cute as a bug

CCC challenge 59 - cute as a bug (close up)

Hello and welcome to Monday morning…..which means a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge. This week’s theme is ‘cute as a bug’ and as we are being sponsored this week by Bee Crafty the lucky DT were able to choose a digital image from their online store to use on their samples. I printed off the ‘whimsical girl and bird’ image and coloured it with my promarkers, adding stickles to the flowers. The papers are all DCWV from the nana’s nursery (baby girl) stack. The image was cut out with my rectangle nesties and the butterflies were punched out with a long-reach punch that I got from Ideal World a very long time ago. I also added stickles to the butterflies to bling them up a little. The ribbon is SU and the charm was a birthday present. The adhesive stones are PM.

Bee Crafty is offering our lucky winner 3 single digital images or 1 set of images of their choice and boy what a difficult choice it will be as they have some very cute designs to choose from.

If you have time please check out the other DT cards, as they are all gorgeous. I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing all the different bugs you use on your cards this week. Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for promarkers #18 – DT card

PFP challenge 18 - Marine & Emerald (anything but a card)

PFP challenge 18 - Marine & Emerald (close up 2)

PFP challenge 18 - Marine & Emerald (close up 1)

Firstly sorry for the photo overload but I wanted to show off my project to it’s best this week……I’m sure you understand.  Right onto this week’s challenge over at passion for promarkers, which has been chosen by our guest DT member Sarah B.  Sarah has asked us to use the colours Emerald and Marine and the twist is we want to see ‘anything but a card’.  Now I ummed and ahhed about what to make (maybe an ATC or a box perhaps) but finally settled on a wall hanger and as I had just received my sugar nellie christmas manga stamps decided to make it christmas themed (although the colours aren’t traditional christmas colours).  I stamped the ‘mr stocking’ image (available from funky kits) and coloured him with the following promarkers:

Hair – tan and caramel

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Boots, top & present – emerald and grass

Shorts, shirt sleeves & stocking – marine and turquoise

Stocking & ribbon on present – red and blender

I also used ice grey 1 around the image and a white gel pen for highlights.

The paper is making memories and the plain paper is from the papermill shop.  I used my martha stewart zigzag embossed border punch for the decorative edge and the snowflakes were cut with my dovecraft punch.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive pearls are basic grey.  The ribbon is also making memories and the cute christmas tree brad is woodware.  I used my crop-a-dile to cut the holes for the ribbon and used two of their snowflake grommets for decoration.

Our sponsor this week is Yellow Moon and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online shop.  I hope you can check out the rest of the DT creations as they are all amazing.  I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous projects.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #58 – DT card

CCC challenge 58 - distressing

CCC challenge 58 - distressing (close up)

This week over at the cupcake craft challenge our theme is ‘distressing’.  Now as regular visitors will know this is something I’m not completely comfortable with, however, that is the whole point of a challenge I suppose!!  For my card I used my new sugar nellie christmas manga image called ‘miss clause’ (available from funky kits) and coloured her with my promarkers adding stickles to the furry trim.  The plain papers I used are all DCWV (as they have a white core) and I embossed the green paper with the cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder and the red paper with the swiss dots embossing folder and distressed them by rubbing them with a sanding block.  The small strip of patterned paper is by PM from the ‘home for christmas’ paper pack.  The tree brad is woodware and the ribbon is from my stash.  I used my dovecraft punch to cut out the snowflakes and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.

I can’t wait to see your distressed projects and look forward to visiting all your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Penny Black challenge #67

b'day card (18)

I’m so happy to be able to enter the penny black challenge this week as I don’t seem to have entered it for ages.  The theme this week is ‘lace and pearls’.  I stamped the image called ‘duckling’ and coloured it with my promarkers and used my woodware scallop circle punch to cut it out.  The gingham paper is from my stash (no name!) and I used my fiskars border punch to create the lace effect decorative edge.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

My PFP Blog Hop Winner

Hello……..I’m sorry I’m so late announcing the winner of my personal passion for promarkers blog hop candy.  It would have been my grandfather’s 96th birthday today and as he only passed away in May the family have all been remembering him and visiting the cemetery etc, so I haven’t been home very much this evening.

Anyway onto happier things.  I used random.org to calculate the winner of my blog hop card (see post here) and one NEW promarker and that lucky person is:

**** GEMMA ****

Congratulations Gemma!  Please can you email me your details so that I can get your goodies sent out to you.  If you do not contact me by Tuesday I will re-draw another winner.  I also want to say a big thank you to everyone that entered and made the passion for promarkers first blog hop such a success.  I will hopefully be back later with a card but if I’m too tired I’ll see you all tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP Blog Hop!

Wow how exciting!! Over at Passion for Promarkers we are holding our first ever blog hop to celebrate the release by Letraset of 56 new promarker pens.

ProMarkerInfo

You should have come to me from Debbi’s blog but if you haven’t or if you’ve stumbled across my blog randomly you need to go back to the main blog here and start from the beginning.

The lucky word you need to get from my blog is JOINING”.

Now you need to move onto Gina’s blog where you will find the next word in the phrase. Once you have visited all the blogs and found the complete phrase you will need to return to the main blog and leave a comment and tell us the phrase you found.

The randomly drawn winner will receive, courtesy of Letraset, a complete set of the newly released promarkers – that’s 56 pens – what a fantastic prize!

As a small token of my thanks for taking part in the blog hop I am also offering one lucky person one NEW promarker pen and the card sample I have made for today’s blog hop. Please leave me a comment and I will randomly draw a winner after the blog hop ends at 9pm on Thursday.

Dress, flower & socks – peach, honeycomb, amber, mango and ginger

Dress & shoes – pear green

Hair – tan and caramel

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink (old colours)

I used my circle nesties and after cutting out my image mounted her onto the circles. The large flowers were cut out with my woodware punch and the smaller flower with my ek success medium retro flower punch. The adhesive stones are kanban. The twill ribbon was recycled by a friend! The weather here has been glorious today and it’s supposed to be nice for 10 days (believe that when it happens) – I hope it’s been nice with you too.  My boys are now back into the swing of being in school and hating every minute of it haha!  My eldest son is now beginning his final year before his GCSE’s and I hope he will knuckle down to hard work, although he did really well this year and got a C in maths and a B in science – not too bad for a year early.

Passion for Promarkers #16 – DT card

PFP challenge 16 - sandstone & blue pearl

PFP challenge 16 - sandstone & blue pearl (close up)

This week’s challenge at Passion for Promarkers is ‘sandstone and blue pearl’ and has been chosen by our guest designer Caroline.  We are lucky to be sponsored this week by Sally-Ann at DigiStamp Boutique and the DT were able to choose one of her fab digi images to use on our samples.

I decided to use a new image, which has just been launched, called ‘Becky’.  There are three different images available individually as well as in a set and the set is the current ‘special offer of the month’ – check out the blog for more details.  I coloured the image with the following promarkers:

Hair and trousers – sandstone

Top, bows in hair and flowers – blue pearl

Grass and leaves – meadow green & apple

Skin – ivory, blush and pastel pink

Butterfly and flower centres – lemon

I also used a white gel pen for highlights and added stickles to the butterfly and flower centres.

The blue paper is doodlebug and the brown paper is SU.  I used my martha stewart doily lace punch on the edge of the image panel and the martha stewart embossed zigzag punch on the edge of the brown paper.   The flowers were cut with my x-cut punch and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment is craftwork cards and was cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesive pearls are kaisercraft.  I look forward to visiting all your blogs and can’t wait to see your gorgeous creations.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake craft challenge #56 – DT card

CCC challenge 56 - red, white & blue

CCC challenge 56 - red, white & blue (close up)

This week at the cupcake craft challenge our theme is ‘red, white & blue’.  I decided to use this cute digi image from the greeting farm called ‘birthday boy ian’ but even though he is supposed to be opening his birthday presents I thought he would look just as cute on a christmas card opening his christmas presents!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and cut it out with my circle nesties.  The paper is doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The red piece of card was put through the CB with my swiss dots embossing folder and the decorative edge was cut with my fiskars border punch.  The sentiment was a freebie from a craft magazine and was cut out with my SU oval punches.  The adhesives stones are PM and the snowflakes were a RAK.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a $20 Gift Voucher.  I hope you will enjoy this week’s challenge and look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous ‘red, white & blue’ creations. Thanks for stopping by.
