PFP challenge 6 – DT card

PM challenge 6 - moss & poppy

PM challenge 6 - moss & poppy (close up)

Wow I can’t believe we’re on week 6 over at Passion for Promarkers challenge.  This week’s colour combo is Moss & Poppy and was chosen by Caryn, however there is a twist to the challenge this week as you have to include something tasty on your creation.  As the colours made me think of Christmas I decided to use a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘jack and snowman’ and I coloured it using the challenge colours with blush, pastel pink and ivory for the skin, cinnamon for the hair and cool grey 1 for shading.  I highlighted the snowman’s scarf with a white gel pen.  As we had to add something tasty and this image didn’t originally have anything tasty (and I really wanted to use it lol) I decided to draw a few candy canes and coloured them with the poppy promarker.   The papers are all SU and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment is by craftwork cards and I used the SU oval punches behind it.  The brads are from my stash.  Don’t forget to check out the DT cards as they are all stunning and check back tomorrow to see if you are last week’s lucky winner or one of our top 5 passionista (new this week to the blog).

Passionista

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky person will win a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online shop.

We can’t wait to see your lovely creations and look forward to visiting your blogs.  Thanks for stopping by today.

CCC #46 – DT card

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer (close up 1)

CCC challenge 46 - It's summer (close up 2)

This week’s cupcake challenge has been chosen by Kathrin and the theme is ‘It’s summer’. If you haven’t visited Kathrin’s blog – why not!! Her cards are simply stunning and her attention to detail is amazing. When I read the challenge I immediately thought of the beach and this image just seemed perfect. The image is from DigiStamp Boutique and his name is ‘Scuba Josh’. I coloured Josh with my promarkers and added diamond glaze to his goggles, although it’s really hard to tell in the photo. The dp is all DCWV from the nana's nursery boy stack. The papers are really glittery IRL and this made taking a good photo really difficult, so I hope you’ll forgive me. I cut the scalloped edge with my fiskars decorative scissors and the adhesive pearls are kanban. I “borrowed” two of my sons shells that he collected from the beach to add a bit of dimension to the card. I haven’t added a sentiment as I’m not sure who will be the lucky recipient yet lol! Please check out all the DT cards as they are stunning and I can’t wait to see your summery creations. Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP Weekend Workshop Part 2

Over at Passion for Promarkers the weekend workshop was a tutorial by Michele using a gorgeous image by Ruth.  Now for part 2 of the workshop the DT were all asked to use the image and see how we all used it.  This is my effort:

PM challenge - Ruth's image

I coloured Ruth’s image with promarkers - lilac, lavender and amethyst (clothes) blush and ivory (skin) and cinnamon and cocoa (hair).  The dotty dp is making memories and the black cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon is also making memories and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sentiment is SU from the oval all set and I punched it out with matching SU oval punches.  The cream flower is from Joanna Sheen, the purple flower is from my stash and the black flower was punched out with my ek success retro flower punch.  The corners of the image were cut with my fiskars corner adorner scissors.

The image is available on the blog for you all to use (but please give credit to Ruth when using it) and we would love you to let us see what you make with it.  Just leave a comment on the post as usual.  Thanks for stopping by today.

ABC challenge

sympathy card (1)

The challenge over at ABC this week is ‘T for two-tone’ which means you must only use 2 colours on your project (not including hair/skin).  Well I recently made a sympathy card for a lady at work and this fit the bill perfectly.  I stamped the elzybells image and lightly coloured it with my aqua promarker.  The plain black cs is from the papermill shop and the plain blue cs is bazzill bling.  The small strips of dp are DCWV from the luxury stack and the velvet ribbon is from my stash.  The adhesive pearls are kanban and the sentiment is by stamps away.  Thanks for stopping by today.

ASFOS #57

wedding card (3)

This week’s challenge over at a spoonfull of sugar is ‘weddings’ and that’s all I’ve seemed to make this past few days is wedding cards so this challenge was perfect for me. I had a special request for a lady at work to make a football themed wedding card (in particular England and Bournemouth FC) and this is what I came up with. I stamped the greeting farm image (from the cake topper set) and coloured it with my promarkers. The dp is BG from the boxer paper pad and the sentiment was created on the pc. The adhesive stones are PM and the football logo’s were from the internet and just printed onto card and cut out. I’m really happy with the finished card and the lady that ordered it was thrilled too. Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you’ve been enjoying the glorious weather.

PFP challenge week 5 – DT card

Well the weeks are flying by and we are already on week 5 of the Passion for Promarkers challenge. This week’s challenge colours are Lemon & Meadow Green.

PM challenge 5 - lemon & meadow green PM challenge 5 - close up 1

For my card this week I used an image from the greeting farm called ‘dahlia’ and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Hair – cinnamon and cocoa

Dress/tights/flowers – lemon, yellow, meadow green and apple

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

The green text paper and the check paper are scraps. The plain green cs is from the papermill shop and the yellow cs is bazzill. The white flower is an imaginisce bitty blossom and the yellow flower was cut out of the cs with my ek success retro flower punch. I created the green leaves by punching a flower with my woodware punch and cutting it apart. The glitter brad is from my stash. The sentiment is SU from the ‘oval all’ set and I used the matching oval SU punches to cut it out.

Don’t forget this week’s challenge is being sponsored by Angela at Angel Crafts and the lucky winner will get a £10.00 voucher to spend in the online store.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #45 - DT card

Hello and welcome to another cupcake craft challenge. This week's challenge is a sketch and we are being sponsored by Sandra Dry Designs so the DT had the option of using one of Sandra's downloads (which I think we all did as they are so gorgeous).
I chose to use her 'Rosabella and Drake' image and coloured it with my promarkers, adding stickles to their wings. The dp, ribbon and brad are all making memories and the flower was cut out using the medium ek success retro flower punch. The adhesive pearls are kanban. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT cards as they are stunning, as usual. Have a fab day and thanks for stopping by.

Our creative corner challenge

It was my father's birthday a few weeks ago and this was the card I made him. Now luckily for me the challenge this week over at OCC is 'stars' so this card fits the bill perfectly. I used another download from DigiStamp Boutique and is from 'Jim collection 2' . I coloured the image with my promarkers. This image is perfect for my dad as he is always dozing in the chair lol! The papers are all SU and I created the wavy edge with fiskars decorative scissors. The stars were cut out with a dovecraft punch and the buttons are from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc. Thanks for stopping by today.

Charisma Cardz challenge #24

This is my entry for this week's charisma cardz challenge, which is 'diamonds are a girls best friend'. Firstly I apologise for the appalling picture but I took it at night and couldn't edit it any better. I stamped the inkadinkado image and coloured it with my promarkers. The brown and red dp is doodlebug and the dotty dp is a freebie from a craft magazine. The scalloped edge was cut with fiskars decorative scissors and the sentiment was created on the pc. The pin was from ebay and the bow is from create and craft. The adhesive stones are PM.

ABC challenge

The challenge over at ABC this week is 'S for Summer' and I thought this image would be ideal. The greeting farm image was a RAK from Gina and I coloured him with my promarkers. The dp is BG and the plain cs is bazzill bling. The sentiment was created on the pc and the ric-rac ribbon is from my stash. The 'cool' sentiment is a stamp that I bought in bargain bin ages ago and it doesn't have a maker's name on it. Not too fussy but perfect for a young boy I think. Thanks for stopping by.

Passion for Promarkers Week 4 - DT card

Wow I can't believe we are already on Week 4 over at Passion for Promarkers. This week's challenge colours are Berry Red & Royal Blue and boy did I find this a tough one! I stamped the stamping bella 'kilo watt' robot image and coloured him with the challenge colours adding shading around the outline with ice grey 1. The papers are all doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The red piece of card was put through the CB with the swiss dots embossing folder. What do you think of my sentiment? I created it on the pc and couldn't really think of anything wittier at the time lol! The adhesive stones are PM. A perfect card for a little boy I think. Here are a couple of close ups of the image and sentiment.

I hope you have time to join in with the challenge this week. We are lucky enough to be sponsored by Whimsy Stamps this week who are offering this gorgeous stamp as a prize - her name is princess emma:
Don't forget to check out the other DT members cards as they are all gorgeous. Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - DT project

The cupcake craft challenge this week is set by Jeanette and she asked us to make a project for Father's Day but it had to be anything but a card (gulp). Now as most of my regular visitors will know I don't really do 3d projects very often so this was a real struggle for me. Anyway I decided to jazz up a store bought gift bag as it was a plain cheesy hologram design. I covered the front of the bag with plain cs from the papermill shop and added dp by sandylion (which is fab and had a slightly distressed look to it). Then I added a border of plain cs along the middle and cut a decorative edge to one side with my fiskars scallop scissors. The image is a digi-image from DigiStamp Boutique called 'BBQ Jim' and I coloured him with my promarkers.
The sentiments are also from DigiStamp Boutique. The buttons are from a dovecraft embellishment kit and I made little tails for them out of thin strips of co-ordinating paper.
I'm quite pleased with the finished result. Don't forget to check out the other DT members creations as they are fab. Thanks for stopping by.

Penny Black challenge

This week over at PB Saturday challenge they are celebrating their first birthday - woohoo! They are asking for any type of celebration card. So I decided to kill to birds with one stone and make a retirement card for my mum's friend using my new PB stamp called 'duckling'. I coloured it with my promarkers and used dp by doodlebug. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the adhesive pearls are kanban. I created the sentiment on the pc and cut it out with my woodware punch, and used a woodware scalloped punch for the large circle. The flowers were cut with my ek success retro flower punches. I hope you are enjoying your Sunday afternoon in the sunshine (I'm just catching up with my washing grrrr...). Thanks for stopping by.

OSCC #33

** This is my second post for today - scroll down to see my other post -
you know you want to!!**
This week's challenge over at one stop craft challenge is 'add some sparkle' and recently my sister asked me to make a wedding card and it fits this challenge perfectly. I stamped the stampendous image and coloured it with my promarkers adding highlights to her bouquet with a sakura stardust pen. The dp is DCWV from the wedding stack and the mirri card is from my stash. The flowers and ribbon are also from my stash and the adhesive pearls are kanban. The sentiment was created on my pc. The circles were cut out with a woodware punch and then run through the CB with the hearts embossing folder. My sister loved it, so I'm happy. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamping for the weekend #2

Now I'm not going crazy and making an early Easter card, this is just one that I didn't have time to post at Eastertime. Lucky for me 'cos it now fits the bill over at stamping for the weekend this week, which is to use digi stamps. I downloaded the greeting farm image 'easter anya' and coloured her with my promarkers. The dp is a scrap piece (not sure who it's by) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The die cut eggs are from ebay and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is PB.

The flowers were cut with my x-cut punch and the sentiment is by SU from the 'circle of friendship' set. We've had some lovely, sunny weather here today, let's hope it lasts. Thanks for stopping by.

Helen's birthday card

It was Helen's birthday last week, who is on the DT for Passion for Promarkers and this is the card that I made for her. I did add a sentiment before I sent it but I had already taken the photo. I used a sugar nellie gorjuss girl image kindly sent to me by Gina and coloured it with my promarkers. The dp is all SU and the flowers were cut out of the dp with my ek success punches. The adhesive pearls are kanban and the ribbon is from my stash (it was originally white but I coloured it with my promarker to match my card). Thanks for stopping by.

Passion for Promarkers #3 - DT card

This week's challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is to use 'cinnamon & pumpkin' and was chosen by yours truly. I just love this colour combo and I hope you enjoy using it too. We are very lucky to be sponsored by Hotshot Craft this week and they are offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

For my card I used a digi-image by Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique and coloured it with cinnamon and cocoa for the vases, pumpkin and orange for the flowers and meadow green and apple for the leaves. I also used a white gel pen to highlight. The dp is all SU and I used my woodware 1.5" punch for the circles. The ribbon is from my stash and the adhesive stones are PM. The sentiment is by stamping bella. Thanks for stopping by.
