Cupcake craft challenge #181–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend – the weather was so spring like here and looking out the window you would be mistaken for thinking it was April or May, although there was quite a nip in the air.  Can’t complain for the end of February though can we?

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week I have the honour of setting the theme and chose “boys and their toys” which is the complete opposite to Keeley’s girly challenge last week!!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys

CCC challenge 181 - boys & their toys (close up)

I used a super cute image from Pollycraft called ‘skills’ and coloured him with promarkers and flex markers.  The paper is my mind’s eye from the ‘kraft funday’ pad and the black card is from eBay.  All I seem to be making at the moment are cards for boys, but I don’t mind really, as having two boys myself I’m quite used to it lol!

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Crafty Emma's store new logo

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as usual, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you always leave for us.

By the way from today the teams over at cupcake have now split into two and I’m with Team A so I’ll only be posting a DT creation once every 2 weeks from now on.  However I’ll still be letting you know each week what the challenge is and I hope you’ll still be able to join in each week.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Dream valley challenge – for men (2nd entry)

Paper sundaes challenge – circles

Little darlings challenge – pearls

My mum’s craft shop challenge – buttons and ribbons

Moving along with the times challenge – lots of layers

Simon says stamp challenge – use 3 papers (it looks like I used 4 but I used both sides of a doubled sided paper – hope this is ok?)

Crafty catz weekly challenge - something beginning with B – boy, black, ball, button

Seems a little sketchy challenge – fab sketch

Stamp, scrap and doodle challenge – manly card

The pretty little ribbon shop challenge – anything goes (2nd entry)

I hope you will be able to join in with my challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers – Jenny and Mandy – *waves hello* welcome ladies, I hope you like my creations and will visit me often.  I’m running late with my stamp with fun challenge DT card this week but I’ll post it as soon as I can.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Sweet Stampin’ Guest DT card

This is going to be a super quick post from me tonight as it’s way past my bedtime!!  However I’m late posting my Guest DT card for this week’s Sweet Stampin’ challenge and wanted to get it done before the week ran ahead of me again lol!  I cannot believe that it is already the last week of being a guest but I’ve had a brilliant time and hopefully they’ve been happy with my cards!  The theme this week is “masculine” and here is my card:

cards5 005

cards5 004

I’ve used an image from Tickled Pink stamps called ‘Lil Lad Eric’ and I coloured him with promarkers and flex markers and I have to say I’m really pleased with his shabby/distressed looking jeans haha!  The papers are wild rose studio from the ‘for men’ paper stack and the plain kraft card is from dies to die for.  I distressed all the edges with my new tonic (Tim Holtz) tool which is much easier and quicker than using than my scissors.  I added my usual go-to male card embellishments of stars and buttons and added some faux stitching and my card was done!

The design team have created amazing samples so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.

There are two sponsors this week – Quixotic Paperie are offering a £10.00 voucher and Joanna Sheen is also offering a £10.00 voucher, so definitely two good reasons to join in with the fun!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Corrosive challenge – another dimension (2nd entry)

Freshly brewed challenge – double it (2 papers, 2 stars, 2 layers)

Paper pretties challenge – punches or die cuts

Crafty sentiments challenge – use only 2 papers

Do you stack up? challenge – distress

Southern girls challenge – so distressed

2 sisters challenge – anything goes

Allsorts challenge – anything goes

Delightful challenge – use patterned papers

Little darlings challenge – pearls

I hope you will be able to join in with the challenge this week.  I cannot wait to see what you create.  Have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by.

Passion for Promarkers #137–DT card

Here I am again with a late post but at least I’m actually posting a card this week lol!  Better late than never I suppose.  I hope you’ve all had a good start to the week so far, mine’s been ok, very busy in work but at least the first two days have flown by!  I’m here to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and this week the lovely Nic has set the theme and she has chosen “black & white”.  However we only want to see the colours black and white apart from skin, hair/fur etc. and obviously you have to use your Letraset pens.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 137 - black & white

PFP challenge 137 - black & white (close up)

I have to say I’m really chuffed with how this card turned out.  The image is from Tickled Pink stamps and I coloured him with all the grey promarkers (his hair is actually using warm grey promarkers but it looks a bit brown in the photo).  I made this card for my nephew who is 23 tomorrow so I didn’t “fuss” it too much.  I added 3 card candi, a button and some twine and that was it.  The papers are a mixture but I think they work quite well together.  The card is A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Tickled Pink stamps (who kindly gave all the DT an image to use on our cards this week) and they are offering one lucky winner 2 digi images of their choice.

Cupcake craft challenge #180–DT card

Hello again friends.  Don’t faint, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Keeley has set the theme and she has chosen “pink fluffy cupcakes”.  So basically we want to see you use pink as the main colour, include something fluffy and at least one cupcake – simples!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes (close up)

I have used a cute image from The Greeting Farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘sweet nothings’ paper pad and the card is SU.  My “fluffy” part is the flower which I die cut out of felt (1 rolled flower and 2 magnolia doohickey flowers glued together).  I got the felt from dies to die for who are now selling 12x12 pieces in lots of gorgeous colours.  I made this card for my mother to give to her friend and it’s A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #149–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Oh dear another week has gone by with a poor show from me – sorry!  I don’t know where the time is going; I have really good intentions but then it’s 2am and I’m too tired to blog!!  I promise that I will try and be more organised with my posts this week – starting with today lol!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week we have an easy theme for you of “shapes”.  Here is my card:

SWF #149 - shapes

SWF #149 - shapes (close up)

I’m sorry for the dark photos but the papers were quite vintage-y so I didn’t want to mess around with them too much as it would spoil the overall effect.  I have used a super cute image from Teddy Bo and coloured it with my promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are from my stash (and I’ve had them for ages – no names on them sorry) and the pink card is SU.  The gold mirri card is also from my stash.  The flourish is a Marianne creatables die and I used a MS punch for the butterflies.  I made this card for an order and it’s A5 in size.  The shapes I’ve used are rectangles, circles and hearts.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Fussy ‘n’ fancy challenge – with all my heart

Crafty calendar challenge – love & marriage

Little Claire’s challenge – romance

I hope you can enter our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Even though I’ve been a terrible blogger for the past few weeks I am delighted to discover that I’ve got a few new followers – thank you so much and welcome to Borqna, Leslie Ornelas, Carrie & Lotta Sandra Petterson – I hope you can visit me often.  I’ll be back later with my card for the cupcake craft challenge but until then thanks for stopping by today.

Oops another late post from me and I think this is going to be theme for the start of this week – sorry!  I’m seem to be chasing my tail constantly at the moment, but I am trying to get more organised – honest lol!

I’m here to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and this week the lovely Shelly has set the theme and she has chosen “en-twined” so basically she would like you to use twine on your creations – easy right?  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 179 - entwined

CCC challenge 179 - entwined (close up)

The cute image is by Lili of the Valley and is called ‘cheers bear’ which I coloured with my promarkers.  The papers are from the wild rose studio ‘for men’ paper pack and the cardstock is SU real red.  I used red twine from the ribbon girl and the ‘70’ was stamped using a see-d’s stamp set.

We have two sponsors this week – stamp fairy are offering a prize of a $10.00 gift voucher for one lucky winner and the pretty little ribbon shop are offering one lucky winner a whopping 50 metres of baker’s twine.

Sweet Stampin’ GDT Card

Happy Sunday dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a great weekend so far, although I can’t believe it’s 6.00pm already – where has the day gone??  I’m here this afternoon to share my second card as Guest Designer over at Sweet Stampin’ challenge.  The challenge this week is “clean & Simple” which I know fills most people with dread, me included.  Here is my card:

clean & simple

clean & simple (close up)

I have used a brand new image from DigiStamp Boutique which is part of the offer of them month called ‘Daisy set 1’ which is available at a very special price for February – just £2.25 for 3 gorgeous images.  I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers and cut her out.  The pretty papers are from the me to you ‘spring chic’ paper pad and the plain card is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment strip is from pink petticoat.  I did some faux stitching with my fine liner pen and added a couple of pearls and viola my card was finished.  I have to say I think it looks like it isn’t finished but I’m sure some extra bits will find their way onto my card before I send it to anyone lol!  You really need to check out the DT cards over at the challenge blog as they are stunning.

There are two sponsors again this week, firstly stamp addicts are offering a £10.00 gift certificate to spend in their online store and the monthly sponsor for February is Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Hello again dear friends.  As promised I’m back with my last catch up post for this week – thank goodness!  Over at the Bee Crafty challenge our monthly challenge is “goodbye/thinking of you”.  Unfortunately this will be our last challenge for a while as Merrigan is due to have her second baby any day now and she will have her hands full so she is putting the challenges on hold for the foreseeable future, but rest assured she will be back.  Here is my card:

Bee crafty challenge - goodbye

Bee crafty challenge - goodbye (close up)

I have used a super image called ‘fluffy bunny pair’ as I thought they looked like they were waving goodbye lol!  You can purchase the image in the store here.   The image is coloured with promarkers and flex markers.  I was delighted when I “discovered” this sentiment in my stamp drawer as it fit perfectly with the theme – it is a clear stamp from elzybells.  The papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘true blue’ paper pad and I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the background.  The fancy border was a freebie in a parcel I received from the lovely Tracey at Dies to Die For and i was chuffed when it matched my card perfectly – love it when that happens lol!

The prize as always is 2 digi images of the winner’s choice.  Please pop over to the challenge blog and check out Deanne’s gorgeous card too.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Another catch up post, this time for the stamp with fun challenge and the theme is “love”.  I don’t send many Valentine’s cards so I decided to alter a plain brown gift bag, which I thought I would be able to use at some point lol!  Here is my bag:

SWF #147 - love

I’m sorry the pics are a bit dark but I took them late at night.  The image is a brand new February release from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘Valentine Hattie’ and I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are by Docrafts from the ‘hot diggity dog’ A4 paper pack and the plain card is from the papermill shop.

We have a prize up for grabs this week of this super cute The Greeting Farm stamp:

Passion for Promarkers #135–DT card

Well, long time no see lol!  I’m sorry that I haven’t blogged for so long (again) but it’s been really hectic and I’ve seem to be chasing my tail and playing catch up for the last few weeks.  Hopefully once I’ve blogged this week’s DT cards I can get back to normal, well that’s the plan anyway.

I would normally blog my cards in order of the challenges but I’m going to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge first as I want to enter it into the sugar bowl challenge before it ends haha!

This week’s challenge has been set by Maya and she has chosen “grey & purple”.  These have to be your dominant colours (but hair, skin and fur are allowed).  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 135 - grey & purple

PFP challenge 135 - grey & purple

I’ve used an image from Sugar Nellie stamps called ‘domestic goddess’ and coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  The embossed cardstock is actually a light grey but some reason it looks beige in the picks – my usual photography skills at work lol!  The doily started life as a large square but I cut it down on the side and stuck it back together to make a frame for the image – I think it looks quite pretty.

Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy stamps and one lucky winner will receive a stamp of their choice.

Allsorts challenge – free and easy

Drunken stampers challenge – something new (stamp)

Crafter’s companion challenge – anything goes

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest followers - Sarah Davey and Donna Angliss *waves hello"* – I hope you enjoy your visits to my little part of blogland.

I’ll be back later with another catch up post but until then thanks so much for stopping by.
