Cupcake craft challenge #127–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY STAMP WITH FUN DT CARD

Hello again everyone, I’m back again as promised (you can’t get rid of me that easily lol).  I have another DT card to show you, this time for the cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Faye (aka fluffy) has set the theme and she has chosen “old macdonald had a farm” so we want to see something on your card/project that you would find on a farm.  I’m sure you’ll agree that this is a brilliant theme!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 127 - old macdonald

CCC challenge 127 - old macdonald (close up)

I have used a gorgeous freebie digi image from Pronty which I received just for signing up for their newsletter.  I thought this little shepherdess image minding her cutie sheep was very apt for our challenge this week.  The pink colour of her dress isn’t quite so vivid IRL but again my photography skills have let me down – definitely need to look for a class I think lol!

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and the lucky winner will receive a sentiment and ribbon bundle.

Stamp with fun #96–DT card

Good morning crafters.  It’s Monday morning again (why do they always come around so fast?) and my first day back at work after my sick leave due to my back pain.  I’m sure today will go really fast, as I will have lots to catch up on,  and I will be shattered tonight!  Anyway enough of my rambling – I’m here this morning to share with you my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Tina46 to use – here is the sketch:

SWF #96 sketch

and here is my card:

As you can see I have replaced the heart shape with a circle on my card, as unfortunately I don’t have a heart die cut at the moment (although it’s on my wish list).  I embossed the circle with a heart embossing folder, so it’s the next best thing lol!  I have used a super cute image from Claudia & Co and it is by Lori Boyd designs.  Again my photography skills are a bit lacking, sorry!

We have a sponsor this week – Cute Stamps and Cards  and they are offering one lucky winner a set of Marianne Creatables dies (I am so jealous).

Marcea’s ‘music saves my soul’

Happy Sunday friends, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far.  The weather here is bitterly cold but it’s lovely and sunny, so it’s not all bad.  After a break of a few weeks I’m finally able to join in with Marcea’s ‘music saves my soul’ once again.  I love being part of her song share and it’s wonderful to discover a brand new song.  This week I have decided to go for a new(ish) song and although I’m not a big fan of dance-type music every now and again I discover a song I love.  I’m sure Marcea will love my choice this week as she is the queen of dance tracks!!  My choice for this week is Rihanna’s ‘only girl (in the world)’.

I hope you enjoy my song this week and I look forward to seeing what everyone else chooses.  I would like to say hello to my newest follower Claire and thanks for the blog award hun – I’ll be adding it to my blog very soon.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Winter wonderland–first DT card!!

Good morning friends, I’m excited as today I get to share my first DT card with you for the winter wonderland challenge.  I am honoured to be part of this friendly and talented team and hope I can live up to expectations.  The challenge this week is “my sentiments exactly” and we want your sentiment to be the main focal point on your card.  Don’t forget that at the moment you can choose to make any card you like, it doesn’t have to be a Christmas card.  Here is my card:

WW #1 - sentiment challenge

WW #1 - sentiment challenge - close up

The DT were lucky enough to be given sentiments to use by one of our sponsors this week  and I chose this gorgeous swirly one.  I love the different fonts and that you can add a touch of colour if you like.  My poor promarkers have been sulking all day as I didn’t use them very much.  However to make up for neglecting them I did colour my sheer organza ribbon with my turquoise promarker to match my card.  I have to say that I really struggle with sentiment only cards but at least I like the colour scheme I’ve chosen for this card.

We have two sponsors this week, firstly we have Simon Says Stamp and the lucky winner will receive a $15.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.

SimonSaysStampBlinkie1

Our second sponsor is a new sponsor for us at winter wonderland and they are called Sentiments 4 You and it is one of Lynne’s lovely sentiments that I have used on my card.  The lucky winner will receive a $10.00 gift voucher to spend in their online store.  Please pop over and check out their shop as they have so many beautiful sentiments to choose from.

BLOG BANNER - PIXEL SIZED

The rest of the DT have created gorgeous samples for your inspiration.  Both Marianne’s team (which I’m part of) and Kate’s team and sharing cards with you this week, after this week we will be sharing our cards with you on alternate weeks.  Please pop over to the challenge blog and check out their beautiful cards.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Challenge up your life challenge – clean and simple

Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas challenge – let’s see some bling (stardust pen and pearls)

Christmas cards all year round challenge – anything goes

OSAAT challenge – as you like it

Kaboodle challenge – bling it up (stardust pen and pearls)

Mojo Monday challenge – sketch (which I rotated)

Wild orchid challenge – let’s get sentimental

Creative belli challenge – the letter P (pearls, patterned paper)

Fab ‘n’ funky challenge – delight in your digi

Passion for promarkers #84 – DT card

Good morning friends, I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week Gro has set the theme and she has chosen “let it shine” so we want to see your glitters, gems etc. and get your cards sparkling!  It was my parents anniversary last week so I used this theme for their card.  I recently bought some 8x8 cards from Crafty Emma’s store and this is the first one I’ve made using this size of card.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 84 - let it shine

PFP challenge 84 - let it shine (close up)

I don’t know what happened to my photograph but the green IRL isn’t such a lime green but I couldn’t get it any better (blame it on the photographer I say lol!).  I have used a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique which is part of the January offer of the month called ‘Pippa & Sonny with rose’.  This is just one of three images in the set and it is available at a brilliant price at the moment.  Sally-Ann has also released more gorgeous images this month so why not pop over and check them out.  As you can see in the close up photo I added stickles to their rose and also to the three flowers in the arrangement.  I never seem to be able to make my flowers look as gorgeous as some of you lovely crafters out there.  I have to say though that my parents loved their card, so that’s all that matters isn’t it?

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma’s store and the lucky winner will receive 5 promarkers of their choice.

Cupcake craft challenge #126 – DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card!

Hello again friends, as promised I’m back with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week’s theme has been set by Donna and she has chosen ‘food for thought’, so we would like to see all your cards and projects featuring food!!  The DT were lucky enough to be given images by our sponsor this week and here is my card:

CCC challenge 126 - food for thought

CCC challenge 126 - food for thought (close up)

The image is by Heather Ellis and is from the ‘pure innocence’ range.  I coloured the image with my promarkers but don’t look too closely at her arm as I had a bit of an issue with the colours bleeding lol!  I don’t normally have any problems with the colours bleeding when I use SU whisper white card so it must have just been a one off.

As I mentioned our sponsor this week is Heather Ellis and the lucky winner will receive 3 digi images from her shop.  As you can see from my card Heather’s images are so sweet and there are lots to choose from.

I also want to mention that yesterday we launched our ‘What’s the challenge?  You decide’ competition where we are asking for your suggestions for challenge themes and the lucky winner, chosen at random, will win a guest designer spot for the week of their challenge.  Sounds like fun doesn’t it.  We have already had lots of interesting themes suggested.  You can check out the original post here to leave your suggestion.  The competition is open until 30th January 2011.

I can also enter my card into the following challenges:

Stamp with fun #95 – DT card

Good morning everyone, I’m here to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  This week’s theme is “blue & brown” which in my mind automatically means a male card to me.  As luck would have it I needed a card for my brother-in-law so I decided to combine the two!  I used a cute image from Pollycraft called ‘Maurice – ready for business’ and obviously coloured him with my promarkers.  Here is my card:

SWF #95 - blue & brown

SWF #95 - blue & brown (close up)

Now Maurice doesn’t look anything like my B-I-L but I just thought he was a really cute image and perfect for those difficult men cards!  For once I’m actually quite happy with my colouring on this card (which makes a change lol!).

We have a sponsor this week for our challenge – One Stop Card Crafts and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Allsorts challenge – male/boy

Sweet stampin’ challenge – clear as mud i.e. brown + 1 other (mine is blue)

Wee memories challenge – free your creativity

I actually followed the sketch over at Moving along with the times challenge but I didn’t realise there was an additional option of flowers – oh well!

I’m off to physiotherapy again this morning and although my back is still painful it is easing so hopefully I will be whizzing around again in no time!  I’ll be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Candy winner re-drawn!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good Saturday so far.  I’m just popping on for a very quick post.  Unfortunately the previous winner of my mini-candy hasn’t contacted me so I have re-drawn for another winner.  The prize you may remember was a super cute Simply Sassy stamp called “Bella bunting” from Funky Kits.  I again have used random.org and the lucky winner this time is:

** FIONA **

Congratulations Fiona, I know you visit my blog most days (and leave me lovely comments) so I know you will see this post Smile.  Please email me and I’ll get your stamp sent off to you on Monday.  I may be back later with my entry for Marcea’s MSMS.  Thanks for stopping by.

Charisma cardz challenge #3 (and some exciting news!)

Good morning friends.  I back to share my DT card for the charisma cardz challenge, sorry I know it’s late yet again but only by a day lol!  The theme this week is ‘magic numbers’ so you need to have a number somewhere on your card.  As luck would have it I needed an 18th birthday card for my husband’s nephew so it was perfect timing.  I decided to use an old WOJ image ‘Charlie 007‘ as he is so useful for any type of celebration.  Here is my card:

charisma cardz #3 - magic numbers

charisma cardz #3 - magic numbers (close up_

I decided to colour his suit in this aqua/teal colour so that he would match the paper – I didn’t think a chocolate suit would look very nice!  I love this paper pad – it’s new to me, I saw it on another crafter’s blog and had to have it.  It’s MME ‘true blue’ paper pad and I got it from Crafty Emma’s store.  I already had the pink version but I think I love this one just as much as that one.

We have two sponsors this week – which means more chances to win!  Firstly we have Lili of the Valley who are offering a £10.00 voucher for their online store.

Our second sponsor is Some Odd Girl and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digis from their online store.
