Cupcake craft challenge #55 – DT card

CCC challenge 55 - recipe

CCC challenge 55 - recipe (close up)

Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at cupcake craft challenge, where this week we want to see your cards with 3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon.  I used a RAK image sent to me by Gina and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are both DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The buttons are clear ones from SU and I placed the plain cs behind them, tying them with white cotton (that I got ages ago from woolworths).  The adhesive pearls are kanban and the ribbon is also SU.  The sentiment was created on the pc.

Our sponsor this week is Quixotic Paperie and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in their online shop.  The DT have come up with some fantastic and varied samples this week - click here to go and check them out.  I can’t wait to come and visit your blogs and see what you create this week.  Thanks for stopping by today.

b'day card (3) close up

This is my card for the new challenge Anyone for Anya? which for their first challenge is asking for ‘sugar & spice & all things nice’.  I am also entering my card for the ABC challenge, which is ‘c for circles’.  I stamped the greeting farm image ‘dahlia‘ and coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are all MME from the bloom & grow paper pad (lush) and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The flowers were punched with my ek success large and medium retro flower punches and the leaves were punched with my L’em punch.  The adhesive pearls are basic grey.  The sketch is the mojo #101 so I will also be entering their challenge.  Wow 3 in 1 – haven’t done that for a while!!  I hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday weekend and the weather behaves itself.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Cute card Thursday #75

baby card

It’s so weird having two CCT challenge cards posted next to each other but I was so late entering the last one lol!  Anyway the new challenge today over at cute card thursday is ‘new beginnings’ and I just so happened to have a baby card waiting to show you!  The cute teddy is a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘rosie’ and I coloured her with my promarkers.  The papers are all DCWV from the nana’s nursery (girl) stack.  The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the adhesive pearls are kanban.  The sentiments were created on the pc and the ribbon is from my stash.  I hope everyone had fantastic exam results, my son who is 15 sat a couple of early exams and he didn’t do too badly, but improvements can be made.  Thanks for stopping by.

b'day card (26) close up

This is my entry for this week’s cute card thursday challenge, which is ‘lazy dayz’.  Now I think the image is quite summery but the colour scheme certainly is.  I stamped the image (and matching sentiment) by the greeting farm and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The decorative edge was cut with my martha stewart simple scallop punch and the ribbon is anita’s.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Passion for Promarkers week #14 – DT card

PFP challenge 14 - all the purples

PFP challenge 14 - all the purples (close up)

This week’s challenge over at passion for promarkers is ‘a passion for purple’ and was chosen by the lovely Sue.  Now originally we planned for you to use all the purples i.e. lilac, lavender, amethyst and aubergine, but we appreciate that some of you may not have all four colours.  So we have decided you can choose any two from the four purples to use as your predominant colours on your image (of course if you do have all four purples we would love you to use them).

For my card I used a GG image kindly sent to me by Gina and coloured her with the following promarkers:

Hair – cinnamon, cocoa and shale

Skin – Ivory and blush

Dress – lilac and amethyst

Tights – lavender and lilac

Flowers in hair and on dress – aubergine

I added shading around the image with cool grey 1 and a white gel pen for highlights.

The gorgeous paper is from a digital download set called ‘Milly’s happiness’ which I won some time ago as blog candy (I’ve done a quick search and found it here if you want to see it properly) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  I used my nesties to cut out the image and for the mat behind it and cut flowers with my medium ek success retro flower punch.  The adhesive stones are PM and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment was created on the pc and I used my SU oval punches to cut it out.  A very simple layout but the paper is so gorgeous I didn’t want to hide it.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset (how fabulous) and one lucky person will win a 5 pack of promarkers.

ASFOS #65/Stamp with fun #21

**** This is my second post for today – please scroll down for my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge ****

b'day card (21)

The challenge over at a spoonfull of sugar this week is ‘travel’ and the stamp with fun challenge is 'at sea' so I thought this card would be perfect! I stamped the PB ‘fishing’ image and coloured it with my promarkers. The papers are all BG from the archaic paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The circles were cut with my woodware scalloped circle punch and the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM. The decorative edge on the blue panel was cut with fiskars scissors.

I’m sorry I’m keeping you all in suspenders (lol!) but my night was super busy last night so didn’t have chance to announce my blog candy winner. I will definitely be back later to put you all out of your misery! Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake craft challenge #54 – DT card

CCC challenge 54 - any shape but a square

CCC challenge 54 - any shape but a square (close up)

Wow what an exciting week we had over at the cupcake craft challenge blog last week.  We celebrated our first birthday and boy did we have some gorgeously ‘sweet’ entries.  Don’t forget to check out the main blog to see who are the lucky winners of the wonderful sponsor prizes we had up for grabs.  I will be announcing the winner of my personal birthday candy at the end of the post, so stay tuned.

This week’s challenge is ‘any shape except a square’.  Now most of my regular visitors will know that I struggle with anything that’s not a card but I suppose that’s what a challenge is all about.  I decided to make a cracker shaped card and of course that meant a christmas card.  I used a digi image from DigiStamp Boutique called ‘winter sophie’ and coloured her with my promarkers adding highlights with a white gel pen.  I liberally spread stickles onto her hat and boots and also to the snowflakes .  As I thought it would be a little difficult to cover the base with paper I decided to stamp the background and I used a denami design snowflake stamp and colorbox chalk cat’s eye inkpads in warm red, ice jade and ice blue.  I used my nesties to cut the circle and scalloped circle and used ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment is by craftwork cards and I used my SU oval punch for the piece behind it.  The brad is doodlebug.

Now onto the important bit – the winner of my personal birthday candy, a martha stewart simple scallop punch, (chosen by random.org) is:-

**** MARGIE ****

Congratulations Margie, please can you contact me with your details so that I can get your lovely punch sent out to you (if I don’t hear from Margie by the end of Wednesday I will draw another winner).  Thanks to everyone who entered.  I hope you all have a good day and find the time to enter our challenge this week.  I can’t wait to visit all your blogs and see your wonderful creations.  Don’t forget to check out the DT offering this week as they are all stunning.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin’ for the weekend #12

wedding card (4)

The challenge over at stampin’ for the weekend this week is ‘pink and grey’ and I had the perfect card ready to show you all (love it when that happens).  I used a digi image from pollycraft called ‘cherry kisses – wedding’ and coloured it with my promarkers.  The papers are DCWV from the luxury stack (sorry about the glare but it is so gorgeous IRL) and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The decorative edge was cut with my martha stewart punch and the sentiment was created on the pc.  The adhesive pearls are by kanban and the ribbon is SU.  It’s getting exciting now – my candy ends tonight at 7.00pm so if you know anyone that hasn’t entered you’d better let them know haha!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Digital Tuesday challenge #20

b'day card (22)

This week over at the digital Tuesday challenge they are looking for ‘male cards’ so I thought this card was ideal.  I used a freebie digi image by Kerry Steptoe and coloured the ‘cool dude’ with my promarkers.  The papers are all BG and the ribbon is from my stash.  The stars were cut with my dovecraft punch and the sentiment was created on the pc.  A fairly simple layout but I’m really happy with the finished card.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying your weekend (I’m currently surrounded by clothes that need washing – that’s the one drawback of going on holidays!!).

Pile it on #11/Stamptacular #20/Stamp something

b'day card (23)

Morning all, I’m back with a card (at long last you say!!).  I’m entering this card for the Pile it on challenge, which this week is ‘oh boy’, the stamptacular challenge, which is ‘beary special’ and the stamp something challenge, which is ‘birthday somethings’.  I stamped the personal impressions fishing bear from the sports set 1 and coloured him with my promarkers.  The papers are all DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the adhesive stones are PM.  The sketch was going to be for a challenge before I went on hols but I didn’t have time to upload it (story of my life haha!).  I hope you are all having a good day.  I may be back later with another card (if you’re lucky lol).  Thanks for stopping by today.

PFP challenge 13 - prussian & pumpkin - halloween theme

PFP challenge 13 - prussian & pumpkin (close up)

Over at passion for promarkers challenge we are already on week 13 and the colour combo this week is prussian and pumpkin and was chosen by the lovely Sarah.  However there is an added twist of a halloween theme.  Now I must admit this colour combo was not my favourite but overall I’m quite pleased with how the card turned out.  I stamped the stampendous changito image and coloured it with the following promarkers:

monkey – cinnamon and cocoa

lantern – pumpkin and orange

cape – prussian and blender

shading – cool grey 1

The gorgeous papers are both doodlebug and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and the ‘boo’ was created with stickers by me & my big ideas.  The ghost was cut in the cuttlebug with a sizzix sizzlit.  The adhesive stones are PM.

Our sponsor this week is Hotshot Crafts and the lucky winner will have £10.00 to spend in their online shop.  I hope you will all find the time to play along this week.  I will catch up with all your comments on my return for hols.  Thanks for stopping by today.

I am Denise and all you need to do is leave me a comment to be eligible to win my blog candy and then you need to hop on over to Donna's blog and leave a comment there! Donna will then tell you which blog you need to visit next!  The randomly chosen winner of my personal blog candy will win a Martha Stewart simple scallop paper punch (see picture below).

simplescallop

If you are not sure you are visiting the design team blogs in the right order you can go back to here and start from the beginning! There are 14 design team blogs in the blog hop and each one has some gorgeous candy to be won!  Please note to be eligible to win the individual design team candy you must enter the main cupcake craft challenge this week (we will be checking lol!).

Don’t forget to enter this week’s Cupcake Craft Challenge to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes that our sponsors have provided to help us celebrate our 1st birthday!  The theme this week is something sweet with the optional extra of a cupcake on your project.

Good Luck with your entries you have until 8pm Saturday 22nd August to enter and the winners will be announced on the Cupcake blog on Monday 24th August.

For my card this week I stamped an image by stamping bella called ‘cuppacakeabella’ and coloured her with promarkers, adding stickles to the frosting on the cake.  I thought it would be quite apt to use the same martha stewart punch (I have my own I didn’t use the actual punch) on my card that I am offering as candy to show you the effect.  The paper is by DCWV from ‘the stack’ and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The ribbon and brad are from my stash and the flowers were created using the large and medium ek success retro flower punches.  The sentiment was created on the pc and was cut out with my SU oval punches.  I hope you will take part in our blog hop and enter my cupcake candy.  I will not be able to read any comments until my return from hols but I wish you all good luck and thanks for entering.  Thanks for stopping by today.

b'day card (32)

b'day card (32) close up

Here is my entry for this week’s sketch saturday challenge.  I stamped my new greeting farm image ‘sheriff Ian’ and coloured him with promarkers.  The dotty paper is from the dovecraft masculine paper pad and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment is stampendous and the ribbon and brads are from my stash.  The ‘splat’ shapes are cut with a woodware punch and the paper used for these is doodlebug.  I’m just getting organised for our family holiday.  We are leaving tomorrow morning and I haven’t even packed yet lol!  I hope you won’t forget me and will come back on Monday and Tuesday as I will schedule my DT cards for the CCC and PFP challenges.  It’s our anniversary over at cupcake this week and there are exciting things planned – you don’t want to miss them (that’s all I’m saying!).  I can’t believe my bad timing going away and missing all the fun.  Thanks for all your interest in my candy – don’t forget to keep spreading the word as it doesn’t end until after I’m back off my hols.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you in a week!

Whiff of Joy challenge #43

b'day card (3)

The whiff of joy challenge this week is a colour challenge and they want us to use brown and pink.  Not too difficult as they are a fab combination.  I stamped the WOJ image ‘confirmand Melinda’ and coloured her with promarkers, adding stickles to her wings.  The paper was a freebie from a craft magazine and the brown cs is bazzill bling (hence the glare – sorry).  The flowers are imaginisce, the spacers are from the hobby house and the pearl brads are PM.  The ric-rac ribbon is from my stash and the large sentiment was created on the pc.  The smaller sentiment is SU from oval all set and I used the matching SU oval punch to cut it out.  The decorative edge was cut with my fiskars scissors.  Apologies for the terrible photo but it was really difficult to get a good one.  Thanks for stopping by.

PFP week 12 – DT card

PFP challenge 12 - cocoa & rose pink

PFP challenge 12 - cocoa & rose pink (close up)

Welcome to week 12 over at Passion for Promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Natalie has chosen the colour combo of Cocoa and Rose Pink.  I decided to stamp my new sugar nellie manga image and I coloured it with the following promarkers:

Dress, boots and bows – rose pink, blossom (and cocoa for buttons)

Tights and sleeves – rose pink and cocoa (highlights with white gel pen)

Hair – cocoa

Skin – Ivory, blush and pastel pink

Shading around image – cool grey 1

The pink paper is doodlebug cupcake swiss dot (available from dies to die for) and the brown paper is SU.  I cut out the image with my new ‘labels 3’ nesties (birthday money again).  The flower was made by punching two medium ek success flowers and adding a brad in the centre, which says sweetie, quite apt I think!  The leaves were punched out with my L-em leaf punch (available at the hobby house here)and the adhesive pearl is kanban.  The super cute sentiment is PB.

Our sponsor this week is Yellow Moon and the prize is a £10.00 voucher to spend on any of the craft supplies and children's crafts at Baker Ross.

I’m also entering this card for the Sunday sketch and stamp challenge as I used their sketch.

I hope you will join in with our challenge this week and can’t wait to see your gorgeous creations.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #52 – DT card

CCC challenge 52 - sketch

CCC challenge 52 - sketch (close up)

I can’t believe I forgot to schedule my post….. so better late than never here is my card for this week’s Cupcake Craft challenge!!  This week Tammy gave us a sketch to follow, but with a twist of using the colour palette on the sketch too.  I used my new SN manga image and coloured her with promarkers.  The blue paper is DCVW from ‘the stack’ and the brown paper is SU (not sure of the name).  The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the flowers are from my stash.  The sentiment is SU from the ‘crazy for cupcakes’ stamp set and the adhesive pearls are basic grey.  I used my nesties to cut out the image and did attempt to use the ‘out-of-bounds technique’ but it went slightly wrong (not too bad for a first attempt though).  I really enjoyed using the sketch and hope you do too.  I can’t wait to visit all your blogs and see your amazing cards.  Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT cards as they are all gorgeous.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Where has the sun gone???

Stamptacular challenge #18

b'day card (20)

This is my card for this week’s stamptacular challenge, which is ‘child’s play’.  I stamped the WOJ image and coloured him with my promarkers.  The glitter paper is DCWV from the glitter stack and the plain cs is from the papermill shop.  The sentiment was created on the pc and cut out with my SU oval punches.  The star was cut out with a dovecraft punch and the buttons are from my stash.  A simple card but I really like it, hope you do too!.  Thanks for stopping by today.
